ANY chance we had of a title race went with Rangers' Old Firm defeat last Sunday but they still have plenty to play for.

Second place in the Premiership and a Scottish Cup success would be marked down as a good season especially after the disastrous days of Pedro Caixinha.

Rangers entertain Killie today and could be facing Steve Clarke's men at a good time after their exhausting cup exit on penalties against Aberdeen on Wednesday.

Graeme Murty's men had a free week and even in defeat should be boosted by the fact they pushed Celtic close.

It's one defeat in 18 inside 90 minutes for Killie but this could be a game too far.

Rangers are a biggest 4-9 at Ladbrokes to win and I like them to take the points with over 2.5 match goals at 11-10 with Ladbrokes. They still look likely to concede and a 2-1 or 3-1 victory looks on the cards. Both to score pays evens with William Hill.

Aberdeen will be tired too but also buoyant at reaching Hampden again.

Derek McInnes's men face a Dundee side who hit a low ebb as they crashed 4-0 at home to St Johnstone last week and it's difficult to see how they can pick themselves up for a trip to Pittodrie.

The Dons have won seven out of eight at home to Dee and beaten them twice this season – by one goal on both occasions.

Neil McCann was involved in a bust-up with Saints after the match and the pressure seems to be getting to his side. Take Aberdeen at 8-15 with Coral and look at them to win -1 at 29-20 with Coral.

Celtic are in action at Motherwell tomorrow and while their record at Fir Park is perceived to be poor they've actually won six and drawn two of their last eight.

The Hoops are no bigger than 1-3 at Sky Bet but Well pose a goal threat and Celtic and both to score has a chance at 11-5 with sportingbet.

Moussa Dembele is back on form and his finish at Rangers was superb. Take him to score first at 3-1 with betfair.

In the Championship St Mirren are edging closer to the title and should win at a Queen of the South side well beaten at home to Dundee United in midweek. Saints are 29-20 at Black Type on a ground where they've won four out of five.

Dumbarton beat winless Brechin 1-0 at home in midweek and are evens  at Unibet to beat them for a third time when they head to Glebe Park.

Dunfermline v Morton has brought up both to score in all three meetings and a fourth pays 10-11 at William Hill.

Clyde did the business again in midweek to make it seven wins in nine. David Goodwillie took his tally to 11 in nine with the only goal against Elgin and is 7-2 at McBookie to score first and 20-21 to net at any time.

Clyde should win at 7-4 with Marathonbet and Peterhead can triumph in the top-of-the table clash at Montrose. They usually play better against stronger sides and won 6-2 at Links Park back in December.

They are no bigger than evens though at McBookie so I'd prefer to back Rory McAllister, vying with Goodwillie for best striker in the division, to score at 20-21 with McBookie.
