I WAS hoping to land two Super Singles on Monday but the second has now been voided.
Man United to win to nil came up although Stoke did have chances and my next was both to score at Estoril v Porto.
The easy part came in when Estoril scored early but at half-time the game was abandoned after fears the stand holding away fans could collapse.
Luckily no one was injured and fans were evacuated on to the pitch. Bookies will avoid all outstanding bets with no new date for the game yet to be agreed and today having been ruled out.
Pity I hadn't taken Estoril to score at a slightly smaller price – anyone who had that will have been paid out.
On Tuesday there are more matches to look at with five FA Cup replays and having checked team news it's the usual situation with the favourites resting players.
Jamie Vardy missed Leicester's trip to his former team Fleetwood but is fit for the replay. However, he starts on the bench so my Super Single will not be placed as I said. Riyad Mahrez, Islam Slimani and Kelechi Iheanacho all start so you'd think the Foxes will have enough firepower to see off their League One rivals but who will score first if it's to be one of that trio?
I saw someone asking if we'd call him a “mug” for backing the five favourites to qualify tonight. Those teams are Leicester, West Ham, Cardiff, Sheffield Wednesday and Reading and the fivefold pays 10-1 at Marathonbet. It's interesting to note all five original ties finished 0-0 so goals could be at a premium.
Personally I wouldn't take the bet on as there is likely to be at least one surprise. With home advantage Leicester and West Ham, even without the likes of Andy Carroll, Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez, should be too strong but I doubt if Cardiff will field their strongest side so that's the dodgiest one.
I'd put Leicester and West Ham in a double or an accumulator but only after seeing starting line-ups.
There are three Ligue 1 games including a Monaco v Nice derby that could be good for goals although the h2h says otherwise. Marseille look nailed on to beat Strasbourg but are just 1-3 and I'm sure Greg will look at a full Ligue 2 card.
For now my only other bet is a btts double on Bruges v Charleroi in the Belgian Cup and Oostende v Genk in the Belgian league. Leaders Bruges and second-placed Charleroi net plenty and form and stats suggest a high scorer. Seven out of 10 meetings between Oostende and Genk have gone over 2.5 goals with most seeing btts.
Well done to any winners on Monday and good luck tonight.

bit of advice please. i bet a double s/win last night.took the games off the screen in will hill just before k/o.1 of my teams was linfield,i scoured everywhere for the result. eventually i found out it was a closed doors friendly which they won 6-3. my question is will will pay out on the double. my other team was real betis. thanks
i have just noticed it was a “friendly training game” as stated on the linfield website
They should pay out if they gave you a price but at worst will void it if it’s not been played as the match they thought it was.
Club brugge 1/2
Marseille 1.5 tgls
Tempted by monaco win btts, or monaco double chance, which sums up this season.

Call me a mug but i am going to put my faith in the favourites all to qualify in tonights FA Cup matches. Not confident enough to back them all winning in 90 minutes but surely they should all go through even with squad rotation.

Mr F, I fancy Cardiff tonight, surely a home tie against Man C is a big incentive.
It’s an even bigger incentive for Mansfield and I see Steve Evans is really talking up the tie.
As always with FA Cup matches it’s about team news – if Cardiff go strong they should win but promotion is much more important and financially rewarding.
I know Steve Evans worked wonders when he made his presence known back with Crawley – must be 10 years ago now and his teams seemed to be quite physical. A bit like the way Stoke used to play. Full of big strong players capable of bullying you off the ball. The flip side of course is Cardiff who turned around a wretched run of results by beating basement boys Sunderland. I wouldn’t say its a result that’s worth bragging about, but they seemed to of got back in that winning mentality.
Cardiff obviously will want to focus on reaching the promised land, but I think that Neil Warnock would be an idiot to tinker too much with his side having just wrestled back some green shoots that is capable of giving Cardiff a fresh go at the league.
Consistency and momentum are everything in the championship and whilst he could treat it as a training run-out. I wouldn’t want to take the foot too far off the gas when it comes to tonight. A win tonight will assist with that momentum which he can then take into the league.
Wolves play tomorrow, that’s an even bigger dilemma. They could rest their whole squad and it would have no bearing on the league regardless of WDL. That is a game i’d avoid like a dose of the pox. Swansea need league consistency and they’d take anything that will give them an extra 5-10% to take into their premiership survival. But what if both managers rest the majority of their squad? Predicting a result would be akin to threading cooked spaghetti up a dogs bum.
Brilliant! threading cooked spaghetti up a dogs bum, great write up Nathan. I agree and will be on Cardiff however I also agree with Mr F in awaiting team news. Cheers both.
From what Evans is saying he is likely to field his strongest available side.
If Cardiff wanted it that badly why didn’t they go full strength and win at home – a replay must have been the worst scenario.
I know it’s a reality but don’t you find it sad your team decide not to compete in the F.A.cup? (not a dig at Wolves, just generally including my team)
Cardiff are playing a strong side well enough to see off Mansfield one would hope
put on an inshop acca covering tonight and tomorrow.

Afternoon gents,
Heading down to old favoutite NLN this evening and reckon this has a cracking chance…
AFC TELFORD VS. YORK:
Come the season’s end it wouldn’t surprise me if these two were destined to be playing 2 divisions apart from each other; Telford look like a relegation battle is imminent whilst the boys from Bootham Crescent seem to be picking up form at just the right time and could well put themselves in the promotion picture.
York have played 29 games so far this campaign – they haven’t been shy and have scored in 19 of those giving an average per game of 1.53 team goals.
Focus upon the most recent fixtures and the picture becomes even better; of their last consecutive 5 games, they have scored at least a brace with a team goals count of 2-2-3-4-2.
One selection for me:
YORK OVER 1.5 TGS…EVENS
????
Best of luck.
Nice one. I’ll be on this!
Well done hull. Under 10 mins.. must be a record ..
Yeah a corker – or should that be a Yorker.
My only bet tonight apart from the challenge bet which has won is btts in the Belgian gaames.
Going to cover most of the stake with 1pt on no to btts at Oostende.
Cheers Hull.
That wasn’t too hard eh…….??
9 minutes?????
9 minutes?????
Hull thank you mate wow wow wow
Superb Hull, must be a record that!
Mansfield Town v Cardiff City
Draw at 12/5 (NAP)
HT/FT DRAW AT 15/4 (NB)
I think this one is the easiest to call out the whole f.a. cup card tonight in what should be a tight contest indeed. Will Cardiff fancy playing this match on a cold wet windy night i very much doubt it and it gives Mansfield the edge.Mansfield aren’t prolific goalscorers but what they do very well is close games out as we seen in the reverse fixture,i fully expect a tight game on a tight pitch with very few goals if any and the winner of this tie prevailing on penalties.
Best of Luck
It’s 0 degrees C and sleeting if that helps!
About -3, foggy and snowing where I am.
Great one @maccathered
Deep south here – still a shock to the system if you’re use to sunny Cardiff.
Going to take the dug out in a deep freeze then back to check teams as they drop.
I mean the pitch conditions lol they will be different from Cardiffs haha
Can’t agree more Mac. The famous cup upset written all over it. Mr F – put your wellies on, to quote an icon ‘ if it was’t for you’re wellies werr would you be’.
Hello
I ve benn to work
I had a little time for bets, but I ve place 60 euro on 2 tickets, sistem 3 from 4
For me its cler that Marseille wil win this night.
Marseille is playing brilliant this time
Bordeaux givve signs of improvment of his playing
Caen d ont play much.
Bordeaux, with 2 news aquisitions, Meite and Baysse, has become more solide in defense.
I believe Bordeaux can scor eand win this night, but would be a very thyght macht
Bordeaux – Caen Bordeaux DNB remain more sure
Atention of Monaco, where Nice can produce the surprise this night.
Ballotelii was rested last macth.
Nice is progressing slow, but sure.
I have 2 clues for a good result for Nice.
I avoided this game.
I ve bet onli on Marseille – Strasbourg Marseille win for sure because Marseille is palying brillinat this days and Bordeaux -Caen Bordeaux DNB
Good luck!!!
Be more inspired them me!
A good bet
Auxerre -Niort Auxerre DNB / Aixeree or draw
small but sure
If he starts
Vardy ATGS, Monaco > 1.5 MGS Evens
Will have a half stake on Germain to net for Marseille – 5 in 6 games
Germain ATGS 20/21
Vardy on the bench.
Cheers, just back in – will update post.
Vardy benchwarming so will give that a miss …
Bet on players to net is lotery
I am betting, not playing at lotery
Every bet’s a gamble – every chance of winning is reflected by the odds.
Interesting opinion
I d ont think until now that way but you may right Mr F
But the most honestly is “every chance of winning is reflected by the stake”
I prefer to bet my money on bet wich can be analyzed and predict by studies the data and information available.
In the end remain evrybode options
I respect evrybody options. I d ont be disrespectful
Stakes don’t reflect chances of winnning – odds do. In reality we are all trying to beat the odds.
yes probably right florescum especially when they miss a penalty!!
Germain ATGS 20/21 half stake – lost
Afternoon gents
A full Ligue 2 card tonight but it’s a tricky one – Al KO 8pm
The first week back after the Winter break brought a couple of real shocks with Nimes and Sochaux both losing at home – be interesting to see how tonight’s games pan out
One match I really like the look of
Ajaccio v Orleans
Three consecutive wins have propelled the Corsica outfit to joint second in the league and they’ll be confidant of another home win against struggling Orelans. They’ve amassed 30 points from a possible 39 points from their last 13 home games and Orelans a team who don’t travel well, just one win in their last 7 and have who have failed to score on 4 of their last 6 games will do well to leave with anything tonight.
Taking Ajaccio to keep up their momentum and claim another 3 points
Back Ajaccio to WIN 5/6 (Matchbook) (NAP)
Ajaccio over 1.5 match goals 11/10 (Coral)

As always will be on over 0.5 first half goals and over 1.5 match goals

Over 1.5mgs double 8/11
Over 2.5mgs double 23/10

Over 2.5mgs double Should be 11/4
West Ham haven’t gone very strong but good to see Martinez and Cullen start
Hope they can do the business but thought they may come on if the game was won, definitely potential for the upset although Arnautovic and Noble are on the bench
Rather Joe Hart went back to City
Again thanks for that – pretty much as expected. Maybe one for the inplays.
Cardiff team looks pretty strong – maybe Ralls or Paterson for first goal.
Doubt that.

Late late goals?
Early one for the weekend…
Montrose v Clyde
Top plays second bottom. Montrose have stumbled of late but haven’t played since 2nd February and will be itching to get back to winning ways. Clyde are in dire straits and have scored 1 goal in 5 games. To be fair, they had been keeping things tight with three 0-0 draws in a row, but have since conceded 2 then 3 goals. Evens is far too big for the league leaders at home playing a team in such dire form, and I think the price will shorten come the week end. Only concern for me is the weather could be a levelling factor (if it stays like it is now) and the fact the game may get called off. Any thoughts on this one @mr-fixit?
Montrose win @ evens (***)
Looks good to me – evens is a decent price. As Greg says Clyde can’t score – I think it’s on goal in six or seven games.
Liam – that’s some winter break Montrose have had mate, haha
Looks like a good shout ??
Danny Lennon has certainly tightened up the Ship since he came in but Clyde are powderpuff in attack – It’s a Strange league were anyone can beat anyone but likeYou say you have to fancy Montrose who are having their best season in years
Haha ahem yes – that should be they haven’t played at home since 2nd January! Thanks for the input both. Usually go for goals as with most on the site but on this occasion fancy the win more. 3 points on it.
Well done on your French acca Greg – I got delayed at work and didn’t get a chance to put the bet on, usually always follow….ragin ha.
