SUNDAY was a strange day. My run of eight winning Super Singles in a row was ended by my own team lifting a cup and then Watford collapsed to beat the Top Treble.

It was one Super Single out if two though as Man City covered the -1 handicap at 6-5 but I didn't know whether to laugh or cry after watching Clydebank beat Pollok 2-0.

McBookie, to their credit, put up 32 markets on the junior game and hot favourites Pollok -1 at 15-8 looked too big against a side they hammered 4-0 in the league a few weeks ago. In fact by kick-off it had been cut to 5-4.

However, they didn't turn up and Bankies gave it their best shot to win pretty comfortably. I'll make a promise here and now – I'll never again bet against my own team.

Watford – now that's a different story. I needed them not to lose to complete a nice 11-2 treble but they threw away a 2-0 lead at Everton and to rub salt in the wounds then missed an injury-time penalty.

Jordan was also on Watford and advised cover and if I'd been in a position to do so I would have. Hopefully everyone on the treble did so.

I was confident about my moneyback fivefold but it was beaten by Ajax so the stake is returned as a free bet.

It's been a hectic couple of weeks and now we have a quiet few days so I won't be putting up much.

Tonight there is one FA Cup clash between Chorley and Fleetwood as well as lower-league games across the Continent.

It could easily be a no-bet day but since the Super Single total is looking good I'll risk 2pts on a double – League One Fleetwood to win at their non-league opponents and over 1.5 goals at Nurnberg v Ingolstadt in Bundesliga 2.

The German game should go over 2.5 as seven of eight matches for both sides had done so but I'm happy with a 9-10 double as opposed the riskier 9-5.

Remember to check welovebetting for their tips and video chat.

are you on these pics mr f.
I notice the 1st pic with the guy lifting the cup has been ruined by your hooligan element, bit young, but I guess they have to start somewhere.
good luck at lugar boswell thistle next week, sounds like the name of a flower, but im sure they are good.

what sort of crowds do you get
it looks similar to our welsh alliance, or in effect the 3rd tier of welsh domestic football ?

what is the sectional cup, do you now go on to a regional comp and so on.

just realised ive been to a game a few years ago in that league at Girvan, or it might have been the Scottish south league, about 2003 ish, while me and mrs elvis were holidaying in ayrshire
from what I remember it was mainly standing with one concrete stand for sitting down.
love grounds like that, proper grass roots stuff.

nice part of the country that, but we had a gander around stranraer on our way back towards Dumfries and that wasn’t the nicest place ive been.

    • Avatar of Mr Fixit

Not in any of the pix, I was nearer the halfway line.
The trophy pic features one of the boys’ teams – not hooligans – and Clydebank have a big youth set-up now.
Crowd today was around 1000 and we average 400-500.
The Sectional League Cup is simply the first knockout tournament of the season – starts in August with regional sections then the eight group winners play knockout.
Girvan are actually in our league – West Super Premier – and look forward to going there.
It’s a cracking little ground and always a good day out. If you’re down that way I’d stick to the coast.

Vintage Mourinho. His method is draw all the games against the big boys, leaving the other top teams to take points off each other and then win the title by beating everybody else. Unfortunately Man City look like they are going to steam roller this division anyway.

    • Avatar of mark edley

No one has ever won the league title by drawing against the big boys and thats a fact,Mouriho played to win yesterday but were simply not good enough.

    • Avatar of Liam Whittles
      liamw 7 years ago

Le Havre are 7th, and have scored in 6 out of last 8 matches, whilst they’ve also scored in 13/15 homes including their last 7 in a row. Reims are league leaders and have score din 13 out of their last 15 matches, this includes their last 7 aways in a row. 4 out of their last 5 away matches have seen BTTS. Le Havre have seen BTTS in 3/5 homes – the other two they won 1-0, but this doesn’t concern me as it’s highly likely the league leaders will score here. Out of 3 recent H2H, 2 show BTTS – going further back, this extends to 5/6. Things are tight at the top of league 2 and theirs plenty incentive for both the teams to try ad get the win. There are no injury or suspension concerns as far as I can tell.

I’ll change my mind and go for 2 points on this. I also like Le Havre to score exactly 1 goal which will be about 6/4 – might put it in a low stakes treble or something. Good luck all.

What the hell are west ham thinking about.
Moyes is a broken man, damaged goods.
He had no pressure at Everton, no expectations, he got them where they should be.
After that he has been a nightmare.
He let’s situations fester without seeming able to alter downward spirals, unable to inspire!!.

West ham have expectations, the new stadium and owners who haven’t a clue won’t help.
West ham are in the same bracket as stoke, wba, Saints, Bournemouth etc, and the sooner they accept this the better.
Bilic never got over payet leaving, but I’m sure he will be on the managers merry go round and turn up somewhere.
Personally I thing Glasgow rangers is a club that would reignite his passion, but that won’t happen. He became muted at west ham and was sad to see as I think he used to be in the conte mould, a nutter in the dugout.

    • Avatar of Mr Fixit

    Afternoon gents,

No joy in SA last night to follow up the Shakers’ BTTS correct cup call.

Looking at another massive cup tie this evening with a meeting of two real powerhouses of the modern game…

    STOURBRIDGE VS. ALVECHURCH (1945 KO:

Northern Challenge Cup action here and although Stourbridge sit a tier higher in the Northern Prem, they’ll be playing host to an Alvenchurch side ripping it up in the Northern Div One.

These two hail from the West Midlands and I’m pretty sure their grounds sit about 5 miles away from one another so it’s certainly something of a derby game – I reckon both teams will contribute here and recent matches certainly indicate the likeleyhood of goals.

Stourbridge have seen 9 of their last 14 games go over 2.5 goals with Alvenchurch making it a belting 12/14 for the magical 3 goal mark. The visitors away form can’t be ignored either; their last 9 away games have seen 2-3-2-1-2-1-4-3-2 team goals!

    GOAL LINE 3.0…1.800

My knowledge of Serie B would fit on a postage stamp. Both Perugia and Avellino aren’t in great form. However Perugia have a good record in this fixture and the 13/20 on a win suggests they are expected to get a result tonight. Step forward top scorer Di Carmine with 6 this season and 2 last time out. I try to pick goal scorers who score against the opposition and he has a hatrick and brace in last seasons fixtures against Avellino. Wikipedia shows he seems to have scored a few in his career – just not many at QPR when on loan there a decade or so ago!!

BTTS, 4+ corners & 20+ booking points each team 12/1

BTTS, 2+ corners each team each half & 20 BP’s each team 28/1

    Fleetwood to score 3+, 6+ Fleetwood corners & 30+ Chorley BP’s 16/1

Got this longshot priced up too, random but should be goals in it but will be happy wi any winner, hopefully this one though

Been saying it all along but McInnes is still the one they want.
Most papers reporting they’ll make their approach in the next day or so.
If he turns them down maybe Craig will get his wish and Murty stay a bit longer.

Here’s hoping Paul, only a fiver on it but will be a wee bank boost Still can’t see him leaving the 2nd best team in Scotland for a team in dire straits financial wise, it’ll be a risk on both sides but if he does get it at least he’ll be used to finishing 2nd….
