WELL done to everyone who found winners on Saturday. It wasn't the best of cards and results probably favoured bookies.
Chelsea's defeat would have been the best for them but there were others such as Arsenal's loss and in the lower leagues the likes of Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday, Shrewsbury and Peterborough were well backed.
Biggest problem in Scotland, unless you focused on the Scottish Cup ties, was a lack of goals.
Motherwell were my Super Single and they won at 6-4 and I was pleased to return to Bet of the Day with a winner. Two of my trebles were close – Spurs -1 beat the Top Treble and Millwall failing to net downed the English both to score treble.
I don't put points on draws but chose not to post the four I picked for Saturday's Record – and of course landed a 40-1 treble on games at Fulham, Sunderland and Wycombe. The other was Wolves v Aston Villa.
It was fairly obvious some of the big guns were suffering with players jaded after long trips – the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Barcelona, Juventus and Dortmund all failed to win while PSG and Real Madrid struggled to get over the line.
Today the English games are Brighton v Everton, Southampton v Newcastle and Derby v Nottm Forest and nothing jumps right out.
On the Continent the biggest game is Inter v AC Milan and I'm starting my tips with a goals line with the reasoning on a separate post.

I like Paolo's tips and wouldn't put anyone off backing Inter but I'm starting my Top Treble with Inter draw no bet and adding Nice not to lose at Montpellier.
Nice were unbeaten in six until their surprise 4-2 defeat at home to Marseille before the break and should at least avoid defeat against a side winless in five.
Complete the treble with Bologna to beat SPAL in Serie A. Bologna aren't high scorers but have won two in a row away to Genoa and Sampdoria and before that held Inter 1-1 at home. SPAL ended a run of four losses by drawing against Crotone.
Bologna are yet to win at home while SPAL haven't even scored away so this has the look of a 1-0 home win.
For the Super Single I'm doing a double for the first time this month and taking Inter not to lose and Marseille draw no bet in the late French game at Strasbourg.

Another decent day yesterday on the A-League tips, so here’s hoping for 3 good days in a row! Final day of round 2, sees Newcastle Jets host the Glory, and later Sydney FC host the Phoenix.
Newcastle Jets v Perth Glory:
Merrick’s Jets side looked at their brilliant best in round 1, surprising everyone with their 5-1 thrashing of the Mariners. O’Donovan looked inspired, and they have a full squad to select from.
Glory had a much tougher opening match at Spotless Stadium against the Wanderers, where they played well but ultimately lost 2-1. They have plenty of firepower still in their squad, with the likes of Taggart, Keogh and Castro looking dangerous still.
This one is likely to feature goals. If Jets played like they did in round 1, I do fancy them to nick this, but goals should be the preferred market.
Sydney FC v Wellington Phoenix:
Sydney looked fairly strong in a tough away match against arch rivals Melbourne Victory, where they won 1-0. Back at home, they are always tough, and will be facing a Phoenix side who always traditionally struggles away from home.
Phoenix do welcome back several players from international duty, in the form of McGlinchey, Durante and Doyle, however I’m not sure that will make a single difference against such a tough Sydney side.
I reckon this should be a straight forward home win, I don’t like the low odds on the home win however, as it means you have to handicap a 2 or more margin Sydney win to get decent odds… which in the A-League is always dangerous. I prefer a more unusual market on this one as goals are featured especially in the second half in Sydney games, since they always traditionally score far more in the 2nd half than the 1st.

Ok, so on with Derby’s biggest game of the season, one for the fans.+ I’ve just read @gregbrowning and his thoughts and he’s pretty much summed up mine.
Whilst I do think the home advantage will play a part in the Derby win, both sides are going to go for it from the off. I’ve noticed in these games, Forest away to Derby always try to peg the rams back early and dictate play. It has been like this for 3 or 4 seasons. Derby have to absorb the pressure which should eek out the first 15 mins or so and then i’d say its ” game on “.
Both teams have shed some players this year, more so Derby, i’m still not convinced we let the right ones leave. But the Gaffer is trying to shape his own starting 11. This past 3 weeks we’ve scraped a draw at home to Birmingham ( a game on paper we should of won ) – Birmingham have hit a nice vein of form since. But we’ve grabbed a point away at Brentford ( a good point ) and another draw at Cardiff. Some points you have to eek out from tough games and come the end of the season, if its all tight in the top half, points from matches like that will make the difference.
Vydra seems to be on the goals, as does Nugent. Prior to the last 3 fixtures that have seen 3 straight draws for the rams and Vydra’s conversion ratio to shots taken has been terrifying. I hope his shooting boots are laced up tonight.
Sadly I have to agree with greg on the btts, Derby are just not resolute enough just in front of the back 4, and Thorne is close to fitness but not sure if he’s ready. BUTTTTT when derby had a holding midfielder isuue, we’d just signed Thorne on loan from WBA and he made his debut at home against Forest……… He was dropped into Derby’s biggest game of the season and we put 5 past them.
These matches are usually laden with cards, but sadly for the last 2 or 3, much like against Leeds, the card count has been an anti-climax.
I do believe both sides will rack up corners and those who like a corners bet could easily see 6 or 7+ apiece.
I’m quietly confident on a rams win at around 20/23 with betfair.
The btts SHOULD come in but I’ve not checked the price. But playing in to gregs overs 2.5 goals. If the Rams are to run away with the spoils today, I don’t think it will all be one way traffic. The rams know that they can put on a performance in big matches and you’d have to go back to the Hull game to see our last thriller.
I’d so love for this to be a thriller but as this is a big big game – for bragging rights, i’d take a 1 nil all day long, but i’d far rather see a goal fest.

forest might get back on terms but from what I’ve seen its about 60% derby, nothing one-sided but the 2nd half is probably where both teams will up their game. the ref has his cards superglued to the inside of his pocket.
forest have had at least 2 good chances to draw level.
Nugent seems a bit out there isolated, i’d like to see him with a bit more support going forwards, or maybe drag on Martrin, but then again, I think the gaffer will stiuck with him.

1 thing stands out for me in this fixture- a severe lack of goals. We (Newcastle) are averaging 1 a game while it’s less than that for saints. I think Rafa will be at his pragmatic best today and set us up not to lose so a tight affair looks on the cards.
