AFTER a quiet few days we're back with a bang as a week of World Cup qualfiers kick in.
There are nine European group matches followed later by five in South America including already qualified Brazil at home to Ecuador and Uruguay v Argentina with the latter sitting in the play-off place but it's bunched up below runaway leaders Brazil.
Highlight in Europe could be France v Holland in Group A with the Dutch potentially falling six points behind the French and Sweden who travel to Bulgaria.
There are the usual mismatches – Portugal v Faroes, Switzerland v Andorra and Belgium v Gibraltar – where handicaps are the way to go. I wouldn't like to be a Gib defender contemplating a game against the likes of Dries Mertens and Romelu Lukaku.
I've posted a separate World Cup preview and with so many mismatches finding value is tough.
Reasoning for my Top Treble is on the other thread and in an attempt to wipe out Super Single losses I'm doing a first-scorer double on Romelu Lukaku against Gibraltar and Cristiano Ronaldo at home to the Faroes. It could happen but of course isn't really a Super Single and I accept that but it's the last day of the month so I'm giving it a go.

Comments on the second match: usually a tight affair, I believe we can see goals here. Argentina is in 5th spot and at a moderate risk of missing the world cup. They will go for the win and Sampaoli is planning a very offensive squad, with Messi, Icardi, Di Maria and Dybala already confirmed in the starting eleven. Uruguay is always dangerous and can also score goals…Cavani is confirmed and Suarez, although not fully fit, has trained and will probably start as well.
