I TOOK a gamble with the Super Single by going 10pts on a treble and it's two-thirds of the way to winning.
Sporting and Juventus were my picks from Tuesday – both winning by more than one – and the 6-5 treble is running on to Arsenal to beat Basel tonight.
Anyone who took that bet can cover the stake with 4pts on the Swiss not to lose at 5-2 with Coral. I'm leaving it for now as I'd really like those 12 points.
I rarely risk more than 10 points on a day and would have gone with a max of 5pts on Wednesday if there had been no winners – but it will be usual stakes tonight.
My accumulators are back in profit and at worst I'll make sure I break even for the month – I'll settle for that after being double-figures down about 10 days ago,
Hopefully I can bank those 12 points for the Super Single then try to wipe out the remainder of the losses between now and Friday night.
On a good night my Champions League treble won and in fact eight of the 10 suggested bets I posted on my preview landed including Islam Slimani to score and over 3.5 goals at Dortmund v Real Madrid.
My both teams to score treble won at 41-10 and my only loser was a Top Treble that was let down by Cardiff and Leeds who I don't taken on the double chance. Wouldn't have backed against Derby if I'd known manager Nigel Pearson would be suspended and Nathan Ufton must be one happy punter.
Bet of the Day won again as did my challenge bet. Greg Browning was a goal short on his over 2.5 goals treble but his nap lost. Desmond was a Grimsby goal shy on his 2+ double, his over 2.5 goals treble lost but his both to score double was a winner.
And finally it was one out of two for Jordan who also tipped Slimani to score at 2-1 – so a decent night oeverall.
Tonight there are another eight Champions League matches and I've posted a separate preview as well as a piece on Celtic v Man City.
There is a cracking Championship clash between Newcastle and Norwich that should produce goals and in League One Coventry entertain Wimbledon.
Tonight's games are harder to call than last night's and while I fancy an Arsenal/Man City double I've got enough riding on the Gunners.
PSG should win at Ludogerets if Edinson Cavani has his shooting boots on and I fancy Napoli to beat a Benfica side missing start striker Jonas.
Barcelona head to Monchengladbach without Lionel Messi but Luis Suarez and Neymar should see them through. However, the Germans have a fantastic home record and I prefer goals on this one. It's on a btts treble with tonight's two English games – Newcastle v Norwich and Coventry v Wimbledon.
I talked about going with another big Super Single but I'm settling for one I like and that's been tipped in many places – Man City and both to score at 7-4 with William Hill.

Before I look into betting opportunities I just wanted to express my absolute disbelief in the whole Sam Allardyce story thats unfolded and would like to see what everyone’s view point is on it.
Before I begin I’m not going to sit here and say Sam Allardyce hasn’t been an absolute prat and as an experienced manager should have known not to have got involved with ‘dodgy meetings’.
At the same time I’m trying very hard to see what he has done that would perceive it as a sackable offence within the 24 hours that this story broke. The handling of this by the FA has been absolutely embarrassing. For me they should have suspended him first thing this morning and released a statement saying how they are investigating the news stories. They then could have discussed with Sam what had happened with the evidence that they have and realistically they could have looked at it over a period of a week before the squad were due to meet up.
I feel a rash decision has been made and for the main FA bloke to release a statement saying that his position was ‘untenable’ was both predictable and quite frankly not true.
On the back of this will the FA launch investigation into corruption…I very much doubt it.

From what I’ve read he had to go. He’s the England manager – he has to be squeaky clean so the main problem was the advice he gave about transfers.
Morally not great to be looking for another £400k when he earns £250k a month.
The fact Southgate has took the reigns is a concern. He didn’t want it temporary for a year after the Euro’s and my guess would be that he has held the FA to ransom and said give me the next four games, with a view to offering me the job full time. With all due respect Malta, Slovenia and Scotland should result in victories and that 6/4 for Southgate to be the next permanent boss looks like a decent price on how this story has unfolded.
I see Southgate as weak and for me it is a greater step backwards to Hodgson.
Where Allardyce gave us a bit of hope, Southgate fills us with dread. It is however a great chance for Scotland to cause an upset at Wembley.
I really hope I am wrong and we can come to some arrangement with Klinsmann or maybe even Wenger at the end of the season.

Fairly simple one tonight. Manchester City and Barcelona will be missing key players tonight with De Bruyne and Messi on the sidelines. However their squad depth should prevail regardless with the likes of Aguero and Suarez bang in form. Both sides triumphed in fine fashion on match day one with Celtic taking a 7-0 romping at the Camp Nou and Monchegladbach easily swept aside at the Etihad with a 4-0 win. Tonight the losers will face tough opposition once more, but this time they’ll be glad to be on home soil, however, I still think both will concede twice.
Arsenal will face Basel at home and will be eager to pick up three points after their point in Paris. Basel are a good outfit but Arsenal should really be winning this and their recent performances would lead me to believe they’ll score a couple against the Swiss who concede in most games in their domestic league let alone Europe.

Yesterday I had an inplays offer and put the first stake on draw at halftime. Luckily for me FCK didn’t find their shooting boots until after the break ? My inplays bet was the first goal method a header. Which failed as it was an OG odds at 26/1. Never mind money-back.
Didn’t see FCK running out 4-0 winners against Club Brugge. Still Parken is a fortress over a year now since the Danish Champions lost there.
I for one will be keeping them on side come their game on home soil against Leicester.

I have looked at the two games in 1.div Denmark and am liking both games for goals.
Nykøbing vs Fremad Amager are two promoted clubs this season and have plenty of recent history for goals. Nykøbing have fallen off the wagon of late after a great start to the season, but are scoring in front of their own fans (one of which is my father in-law)
He went to the away game against Vejle on Friday on said they had plenty of chances and possession but it was one of those nights.

When teams get at Newcastle they look rattled, we saw that in patches when Villa played them Saturday and Norwich are a much better team than Villa at this time. When teams get at Newcastle they look rattled, we saw that in patches when Villa played them Saturday and Norwich are a much better team than Villa at this time. Might be worth keeping an eye in play bearing in mind at these stats.
Toronto haven’t failed to score less than two against Orlando in the MLS in the only five previous meetings.
In the two games they have played them at home they have netted on four and five occasions respectively.
Out of the last seven games away from home, the visitors have only failed to score on one occasion and have frequented a minimum of two goals in all but two of those games.
So with stats in mind it really does have a feel of a goal fest and as the stats go you would have to say a 3-1 kind of game at a minimum. It feels like a 4-2 kind of game though.
