TopTips_Ladbrokes

ON Friday it was all about Hearts and on Saturday most of my focus is on the Rangers side they beat to last season's Championship title.

Last night I posted four Super Singles on the Jambos at Inverness and the outcome wasn't what I hoped for as a side who had been previously reliable since their promotion simply had an off night – and it happens to all teams.

It was back on Monday when I put up two Super Singles on Rangers at home to Livingston – minus two and minus three – and those prices have been cut fairly dramatically.

I expect a big home win and the fact Livingston are 33-1 with McBookie to win at Ibrox should tell you all you need to know. Any takers?

Eleven points were lost on the Hearts bets but I'll recoup them in full if Rangers win by four. I'm also tempted by William Hill's mythical match bet that offers 2-5 Rangers to score more than Celtic (7-2) at Aberdeen but I'm limiting myself to Super Singles on Rangers although Morecambe are my additional single at a Newport side struggling under Terry Butcher and with selection problems, particularly in defence.

The rest of the tips come from Saturday's Daily Record and I'm going only going above my 10pts daily limit is you include the two advised on Monday.

Remember to do the long odds bets for low stakes.

    SATURDAYS BETS {Repost}
    CHARLTON V ROTHERHAM
I like the odds on a Charlton win at home to a very poor Rotherham @ Evens Skybet may be better elsewhere haven,t checked.Im a little surprised they havent your list anyway ill explain my reasoning, Charlton have only lost once so far from last 7 all comps and have won both home lg games beating the high flying Hull and Qpr {their only defeats} and have conceded just once at home, scoring twice in each of those wins.
Rotherham sit bottom won 0 drew 1 lost 4 conceding a lg high 13 times. Evens with Skybet looks a gift from the bookie in this one.
    MAN UTD V LIVERPOOL
Think ill get on United to beat the Scousers @ Evens now that the feelgood factor has returned for De Gea who signed a new 4 year contract on Friday and is expected to start and the record breaking Rooney, Liverpool are missing Philippe Coutinho,Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana and Daniel Sturridge still out. United to win at home against a Liverpool side missing star names on the back of the humiliation at home to West Ham..I think so.
Last 3 meetings produced United wins scoring at least twice in each all 3 went also over 2.5Mgs,Do United look a better team from last season? I have to say yes, certainly defensively and they should be able to inflict another defeat on Liverpool.
Man Utd win @ Evens Bet365
    Man Utd win/over 1.5 @ 7/5 Paddy Power.
    CARDS BET:
Not a market i normally look at but i know some of you do so i picked out what normally is a fiesty tie for saturday and this is how it reads.
Bookings stats in recent United v Liverpool prem lg games and they read as follows, most recent first:

    65pts
    70pts
    95pts
    60pts
    50pts
    55pts
The following are likely to come in based on the above and are Paddy Power prices, better probably available elsewhere
    Over 50 pts @ 8/13
    over 60 pts @ 6/5
The following is what i really like and will be backing: Liverpools sole booking points in 4 prem lg games this season:

    75 pts
    40pts
    10pts
    40pts
United have totalled exactly 20pts in each of their 4 prem lg games.
Liverpools totals in each of the last 3 meetings with Man Utd were,45pts,30pts and 40pts.
Liverpool look by far the more likely to have the majority of points tomorrow especially after they concede and have proved already this season they arent afraid of a booking and above stats suggest they should amount to over 30:
Liverpool to get most card index points @ 4/6 paddypower
Liverpool to total over 30 pts @ Evens paddypower.
    GOOD LUCK.

  7. honeymonster 9 years ago

I bet Mr. F is laughing into his leffe ruby at the moment. A certain frequenter of this website who used to go on and on and on about affiliate links and how they try and lose to make money, has gone and opened a website
….with affiliate links in it!!!! Priceless

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

honeymonster, I did notice that but I’m on good terms with the gentleman concerned and I wish him all the best with his new venture.
Links guarantee nothing, however, especially when both of us are trying to beat the bookies – although it didn’t look like it with Hearts tonight.
We can’t advertise a paid-for site though and he accepts that.

    • max 9 years ago

Honeymonster, very true and he will have his little minions asking about him on this site, to keep his name relevant as he think’s this site will lose members without him. This site is by far the best on the net and the tips are free. I suspect the individual will be back by the new season if not by Christmas. a one season wonder when his site gets no followers, like another guy, who used to post on here, his posts gets no comments. Paying, for odds on picks err not for me.

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

max, we won’t tolerate criticism or otherwise of other tipsters. Raal is doing his own thing and I wish him all the best.
He did well for the site and we did well for him I believe. He’s moved on now.
We’ll be adding new features and more tipsters to the site soon and while tips will be free there will be a small membership fee (no more than 10p a day) to join the new forum.
We’ve said that will be the case but hopefully people will recognise the value when we reveal the full details.

    real Madrid win ko 15.00

    odds just over 3/1

    bets so far 4
    1 winner
    3 losers

  24. Joet1987 9 years ago

Love to have a punt on the bigger leagues on a Saturday so I’ve gone for the 2 following 5 folds with acca insurance.

This one because of the general quality of the sides involved

    Real Madrid
    Arsenal
    Man City
    Basel
    Juventus

    Pays just over 4/1

And a long shot at around 19/1…

Dortmund (they are on fire again and Hannover have lost their last 3 home games)
Morecambe (ta mr f – mainly because Newport have started horrendously)
Dunfermline (ta again Mr f – no need to explain)
    Man Utd (weakened Liverpool side)
Ajax (perfect start to the season against a very inconsistent side)

Mainly for interest. Good luck to everyone today. I’m also on Gomis anytime for Swansea.

I have a couple little gems today 1st is the mighty Dortmund against a very poor Hannover Dortmund are firing on all fronts and to score 3+ (3 or more) is a massive 7/5.CORAL
Next is probably the most easiest earner the greatest team in the world to score 2+ is 11/8 CORAL that’s right messi Suarez and neymar haven’t light the bbva alight just yet but to score 2 or more against the other mardid who are a really good team and will push them to play better.
Got to be worth a little £20 brings back £114 not a bad little earner.
Inter to beat Milan tomorrow night 13/10

  38. llanwen 9 years ago

Morcambe as super single is a credible bet based on stats and form. As a Newport fan I’ve been to every game and where not as bad as form suggests. 3-0 last week was bad, we were bad, but the 2 previous games we looked good despite not getting a win.

Newport can win this though if we play anything like we can with pace and width. With all that I do expect btts.

    Be careful

  43. nathan ufton 9 years ago

I’ve picked 3 doubles over 4 days rolling my bank onto the next, started Tuesday, did another Wednesday, then last night I had a 4 nil Dundalk win and a 5 nil ( I think ) benfica to take my £4.60 stake up to £76.

Today, nice and steady, I shall drop it on TNS and LA Galaxy and check the results out Sunday morning.

Not posting a Derby preview/team news as I’ll definitely be sleeping. Its a game that could go either way with everyone fancying their chances against a derby side that’s yet to get out of first gear. 2 new midfielder signings and 10 mill later and we MAY finally have enough bite in midfield to break up play AND link up with the front too. 13/8 seems a very good price for a Derby win but we’ve had some aweful luck this season already, 2 big deflections have cost us 2x wins – 4 points. No matter how well the commentary of the match goes, we always seem to be shooting ourselves in the foot. We have quite a settled back 4, a few interchangeable options up front but that midfield without Hughes is as bad for Derby as losing Thorne all of last season. I hope the new guys step it up a notch.

4 out of 5 on the early games happy days…

  47. Hampy 9 years ago

    Wolfsburg u19s v havelse u19
Goal line is over 6 so match goals hopefully will stick at over 5.5
The away side been taking a few beatings. Conceeding 20 goals in 4 games. The better sides theyve played were hertha and werder who both put 7 past them.
Wolfsburg are bang on form scoring 23 goals in 4 games and only conceeding 2.
My opinion this could reach double figs so goal line very reasonable.

    Shanghai sipg v evergrande.
Hopefully the pre internationals form continues as both were freescoring and both are very attacking sides.
Shanghai have seen btts and overs come in their last 5 matches where as evergrande has seen btts and over in the last 3 matches.

Should be a very open game
    Btts and overs 1.95

Just seen an all “champions league entrants” pick for the weekend league games. With the UCL starting up mid-week both PSG & Seville dropped points last night. “Gimme a B!” lost at home in germany.

Straight back from international break, and with midweek european games coming I think I gotta give the UCL teams the big swerve this weekend. Last night was an omen.

Give them the big swerve, then sneak up behind them and take the underdogs on handicap? Maybe. Small stakes.

  50. Hampy 9 years ago

Macladd you have a point but dont think will be the case for all. Mgladbach havnt won a game so far this season in league theyve lost all 3 previous games. So wasnt such a shock. Bordeux are one of the more organised in ligue 1 and sevilla dont look the same threat without bacca but theyve brought a few new lads in so think its just taking them time to bond.
But i agree its probably best to bd cautious with handicaps. I do feel my lads should beat liverpool today though. The changing room will be buzzing now de gea is secured for now. And Rooney will hopefully have more confidence about him after reaching 50 for england.
Whether martial takes part im not sure yet.

Kilmarnock not to lose against Dundee Utd side that are in poor form (23/20)

Hamilton to beat St Johnstone away when they have won last 2 away matches against them (12/5)

    Aberdeen to beat Celtic (3/1).

    This treble pays 30/1

NAP Man Utd home win v Liverpool

Liverpool look a mid table side, awful at the back, only 2 goals scored in 4 games and humiliated 3-0 at home by west ham last time out.Rogers will be gone by Jan with Mr Klopp coming in.No Coutinho today either, their 1 and only world class player,so everything points to a comfortable home win for Man Utd.possibly even -1

Hampy, there’ll be no buzzing if Rooney is out and Fellaini takes his place :D

  65. Sean 9 years ago

Unless you are a United fan, I can’t see how you can be confident on United scoring a few today to cover the -1 handicap. They have only scored 1 goal by themselves in the league this season and even that was a deflection. Whereas Liverpool kept out a strong Arsenal team, and have been solid at the back apart from the West Ham game

  66. Brad-Ford 9 years ago

I’m no expert but, Cardiff at 11/10 has got to be a great bet, hasn’t it ????

  67. Jamie180 9 years ago

Liverpool’s problem last season was both scoring goals and keeping clean sheets.are they any better this season?? Don’t be fooled by the clean sheets in the first 3 games. Both arsenal and Bournemouth had perfectly good goals ruled out and the 2 Liverpool have scored 1 was a 25 yard worldie and the other was offside.Utd at home,Rooney confidence high,De Gea back between the sticks plus young Martial to come in,everything points to a Utd win.if west ham can score 3 past this calamity defense i’m pretty sure Utd can.

  68. Mr H 9 years ago

Oh dear …couple of weeks ago Craig Levein says Hearts will challenge Celtic for the title. Now Graeme Shinnie is saying he wouldn’t swap any Aberdeen players for a single Celtic player. Talk about delusional. I’d struggle too find a place on the bench at Parkhead for any of the dandy Dons

  69. Sean 9 years ago

Isn’t Rooney a doubt for the game?

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Sean, was a slight doubt but I read he’d start. Keep an eye on team news.

  70. Capone31 9 years ago

De Gea will have a face on him like a bulldog chewing a wasp cause he didn’t get away! He won’t be the same, the players had to meet LVG cause “team moral” was down, Benteke will torture Smalling

Don’t know if anyone’s already posted but Hoffenheim u19 are currently playing and are 1-0 down after 15 mins.

However they’ve scored at least 3 in their last 9 away games in the league and apart from the league final play off they have won their last 17 games at this level

Hoffenheim are currently second with full points from 4 games having scored 17 and conceded 4 with 12 of these goals coming in 2 away games.

Today’s opposition Karslruher lost 5-3 last time out at home to 1860 Munich u19 who are the only other team in the the league with a 100% record so far and have scored 18 in their opening 4 so are very similar to Hoffenheim

Hoffenheim have had 8 shots in the opening 19 mins (although 7 off target) compared to 2 for Karslruher and I expect a comeback victory

Hoffenheim to win @ 2.62 and am also on btts in 1st half @ 2.10

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

leecuncliffe, to be honest they should know best. Sky now reporting Rooney is a doubt with a hamstring injury but not confirmed he’s out. But surely they won’t risk him especially with the Champions League in midweek.

If has been claimed Rooney isnt playing and Marouane Fellaini is starting up top then i will be looking at the 11/4 for him to score anytime on paddypower as this is serious good value given his recent record in this possition.
Will wait for confirmation of this being true first though.
    GOOD LUCK.

  112. Ryan Allan 9 years ago

    Good morning all.

I will post my deadly doubles and tasty trebles in the next couple of hours.

Here are a couple of my previews for today, just to get us started.

15:00 Palace vs Man City – Prediction – 1.2 – Suggested Bets – BTTS @4/6, BTTS and over 2.5 goals @1/1, Man City to win and over 2.5 goals @13/10, City to score 2 or more @4/7

This looks like a decent fixture on paper with Palace a continually improving team welcoming the league title favourites Man City to Selhurst Park.

City have won 4 from 4 so far, without conceding a goal and their form going back to last season is tremendous with 10 successive wins recorded and 8 clean sheets kept in the process. They almost always score on the road, having done so in 32 of their last 34 away league fixtures and the bookies don’t see them failing to win here, odds on @8/13.

It’s easy to see why with the likes of Silva, Aguero, Kompany and Toure all performing at close to their top level and with their new shiny toys in Sterling and De Bruyne, they have the look of a fairly intimidating team this year. One concern for me, remains the back-up to Aguero but for now, it’s not an issue and this is a side that look like scoring with every attack in every fixture.

In their previous 14 away league wins, City have scored 2 or more in 12 of those wins and that has to be very likely here @4/7 odds when you also look at Palace’s home stats which show a team who are not nearly as consistant at home, mostly due to their counter attacking style which is of course more typically succesful in away games.

We all know that Palace are brilliant on the road, winning 8 of their last 10 away league games, a really fantastic record but the home form is not nearly as strong, losing 8 of their last 15 at home, mostly due to their poor defensive record which has seen them keep just 1 clean sheet in 18 home games, conceding 2 or more in 4 of their last 6 and almost always struggling to keep out the top sides.

    Still, what matters to me is that they do usually score at home, finding the net in 16 of 21 home league games, and they usually manage it against the top teams Results against the teams finishing in last season’s top 7 produced the following results at Selhurst last season;

    1.2, 1.2, 2.1, 1.3, 2.1, 1.2, and 3.1.

That sequence of 7 BTTS and over 2.5 goals was continued in their 2.1 home loss to Arsenal so for me, the stats are pointing us to an away win, with BTTS @ 4/6 and BTTTS and over 2.5 goals @ 1/1 both very likely for me and sure to be in my picks for today.

    15:00 Cardiff vs Huddersfield – Prediction -1.0 – Suggested Bets – Cardiff to win @21/20, Under 2.5 goals @ 3/4

Cardiff are unbeaten while Huddersfield are yet to win but both sides have drawn 3 of their 5 fixtures so far this season so it should be a close encounter here.

The visitors are struggling for goals with just 3 in 5 so far but they were very unlucky not to score in their last outing at home to relegated QPR but I can’t trust them to score here with only 1 of their last 5 on the road seeing BTTS and only 2 goals scored in that period.

The bluebirds though are steadily improving under Russel Slade and having drawn their first 3 fixtures of the new campaign, they followed up with 2 wins on the bounce at Wolves and then on the road at Forest. They have only lost 2 of their last 15 in the league, or 4 in 23 going back to February.

Cardiff are worth a punt @21/20 but they probably won’t make it into any of main bets for the day while the unders bets bet must be considered at 3/4.

Goals don’t look likely with both sides showing identical records in the under 2.5 goal market going back to February. Only 3 of Cardiff’s previous 13 at home in the league have gone over 2.5 gols with Huddersfield showing the same figures for their away fixtures. Indeed none of Huddersfield’s previous 7 on the road have gone over 2.5 goals.

I’m not a big fan of these under picks, but under 2.5 goals is likely @3/4 odds.

Huddersfield are a tough nut to crack at times, drawing 6 of their last 10 on the road, but with only 1 win they are unlikely to claim the points here and I think Cardiff can just about nick it as well

I’m looking more closely at the price of bets and the relative implied probabilty compared to the stats and this is a good example of it.

The 3/4 odds on price suggests an implied probability of 57.1% that the game will go under 2.5 goals but when you consider that only 23% of both sides relative home and away fixtures went over 2.5 goals, that would imply that the probability of it happening here is actually closer to 77%.

I’m going to use this theory when trying to find value and I’m Sorry for the boring bookie talk!

CSKA Moscow v Zenit about too kick off….potential BTTS at 5/6

CSKA have scored in all 7 league games so far and Zenit have scored in 6 of 7 while conceding in 5. Moscow have had 5 clean sheets but they have opened up their campaign against some of the weaker teams in the league. Moscow scored and conceded in all 4 CL qualifier matches…Sparta Prague home and away plus Sporting Lisbon home and away. I fancy Zenit too score here also

  130. MiniDuff 9 years ago

Sorry if this is a little long. I maybe pick too many games.

Dunfermline Over 2.5 Goals (11/10) NAP
I think enough has been said about this already. Dunfermline have scored at least 3 in every game this season except one. Ayr have conceded 9 goals in 5 games and are yet to keep a clean sheet. Dunfermline have by far the best strike force in the division and they should hopefully notch at least 3.

Slavia Prague v Mlada Boleslav Over 2.5 Goals (3/4) NB
The last 4 meetings between these sides have seen at least 3 goals, with the most recent game featuring 7. Slavia Prague have seen Over 2.5 in 4/5 games so far including both at home. Boleslav have also seen Over 2.5 in 4/5 games including both aways, with those four games having 4,6,6,7 goals with the one unders game having 2.

    Dundee Draw No Bet (Evens)
Dundee have been a bit inconsistant so far but visit a Partick side whose only goals this season came at home to Kilmarnock who concede against everyone. If Loy is fit enough to start that will be a major plus, and they have Harkins back after his suspension for the Inverness game. I’ll be having a small stake on Hemmings FGS as well.

Ross County Draw No Bet (10/11)
Ross County have never won away to Motherwell. Just thought i’d get that out the way. I think they’ve looked good so far this season outwith their opening day loss to Celtic. No shame in losing away to Hearts and they recently stuck 4 goals past Kilmarnock so there are goals in the team. I wondered whether Motherwell would kick on after their play-off win at the end of last season but there has been no evidence of it. They needed the 1-0 win against Kilmarnock but they’ll still need to improve if they are to trouble Ross County.

    Gillingham -1 (13/8)
Gillingham are 3 wins out of 3 at home and I expect them to make that 4 out of 4 with hopefully a bit to spare when they welcome Blackpool. Blackpool got a really good win away to Scunthorpe last weekend but the Gills are strong at home and have already beaten Wigan and Sheffield United on the handicap. Too temtping for me to turn down.

Mechelen to Win and Over 2.5 Goals (6/5)
Stretching back into the end of last season Mechelen have won their last 9 home games in the league. 8 of those games contained more than 2 goals. 5/6 have gone Over 2.5 this season including both home games. Westerlo are winless in 9 on the road, and have seen 4/6 games this season go over 2 goals.

    Zulte Waragem Double Chance (3/4)
The 2014/2015 season did not go down well for Zulte. After nearly going the entire season unbeaten at home in 2013/2014, they lost 10 home games last season. This year seems to have started better with 2 wins and a draw in their first 3 home games against credible sides. Their opponents, Gent, haven’t lost yet in the league but have only managed to win two games, both at home. All 3 of their away games have finished all square and they haven’t won away to Zulte in the last 4 attempts.

    Oostende v Waasland Over 2.5 Goals (20/23)
Belgium is popular with me today. Oostende have seen at least 2 goals in every game so far this season, and over 2 in 4/6. Waasland have seen Over 2.5 goals in 5/6 games so far and that includes all 3 home games. Head to head there has been a few low scorers over the last few years but the most recent meeting between the sides finished 4-3 so hopefully we’ll see some goals.

    Crusaders v Linfield Over 2.5 Goals (5/6)
Both teams have been scoring goals for fun so far. The last 6 head to head have seen both BTTS and Over 2.5 Goals land and while I fancy Linfield to escape with the points, i’m much happier backing goals.

People keep mentioning Rooney for today. As a United fan, is that such a bad thing with his current form? Yes he’s the English top scorer, but he’s had the touch of a tugboat so far apart from his hat-trick performance in Belgium. Fellaini up top with Mata behind and Depay and Martial either flank would be my guess, but I’m no Van Gaal. Our best player wouldn’t sign a 4 year deal if he didn’t want a job to do, De Gea will be fine. Without Coutinho and Henderson? Last time I checked they were Liverpools best players last season. If United win we only win by a goal but my ante post would be Mata Anytime @ 33/10 @ 888 GGMU :)

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Jordan, for me United are better with Rooney than without.

    • Jordan 9 years ago

Some days yes, others no. Certainly not in the league but he would have had a bit more confidence going into this one. Still think we can win without him.

    5 x £2 4-folds, 1 x £1 acca, total bet £11

Mr H, every club gets bad decisions against them even mine.
It’s just that some managers’ and fans’ voices are louder.
Anyway off to see Clydebank-Bellshill and get soaked.
Will only be worthwhile if we win.

    AT Goal Scorer Trixie

    Muller(Bayern)4/5
    Aubemeyang (Borussia)21/20
    El Ghazi (Ajax)5/4

German players definitely start … assume El Ghazi will start for Ajax.

  145. Mr H 9 years ago

WC just seen your post on Naismith….personally I can’t believe why he doesn’t start. His work rate is tremendous, tends too stand out at against the bigger teams like City,Chelsea,Arsenal and United plus he is good for a goal…far better than Kone in my opinion

  146. Mr H 9 years ago

My brother played for Bellshill for 8yrs when your team were in the League ranks…not the same since they left the old ground though . Used too be a regular at Brandon Park with the faithful …brings back good memories Mr F. Enjoy the game

  148. Ryan Allan 9 years ago

the question is, why doesn’t Naismith start for Scotland ahead of Fletcher?

He has lead the line for us previously and quite frankly, how could he not be a better option than Coldplay’s Chris Martin or that hipster, tattooed, bearded fool Fletcher.

5 days on and I’m still angry and gutted about Scotland :(

st etienne are looking a good price at 9/5 .recent form and h2h suggests st etienne win

  150. Mr H 9 years ago

Ryan I’m with you….Fletcher is vastly overrated in my opinion. Sure he’s strong and holds the ball up but he’s not a goal scorer and he’s not got any pace or mobile enough too play the lone striker. Fletcher needs too play in a front 2 where he has a runner too to do the graft and feed off him. Naismith or Griffiths for me if it’s 1 up top

Ryan getting Rangers and Hibs back up would be great, that’s the ideal situation for everyone. CCtic having Rangers back so it might spur them on too invest more on the playing side. Hearts and Hibs in the same division competing. Get the crowds back up and have Scottish football progress again. As far as the National team is concerned we have came on leaps and bounds despite our poor show in Tbilisi. If players like Gauld,Christie,Feruz,Robertson,Armstrong,Forestt and Mackay-Steven can progress then there’s no reason we can’t do well in the Euros if we get there and beyond

  185. thechief 9 years ago

    Afternoon Guys Saturday’s bets

I had my first losing Super Single of the season before the international break as Scunthorpe lost to Blackpool!

Today I am opting for Charlton at home to Rotherham. Charlton lost last time out but at home have beaten Qpr and Hull. Rotherham are bottom of the table and have conceded six goals in their two away games this season. I think Charlton look a good price at 11/10 Various.

Gillingham & Cardiff were the other two on my shortlist against two struggling sides Blackpool and Huddersfield respectively. I’m putting them in a double pays just over 2/1 at Coral, it maybe slightly bigger elsewhere.

In the goal scorer market I like goals in the Norwich – Bournemouth game, and I will be on Callum Wilson. The striker got 4 goals in his last two games before the break and scored in this fixture last season in the championship. I will take him to score at 2/1 Skybet.

In the Championship Burnley paid a rumoured 6m to bring in Andre Gray to fire them to the premier league. He scored 18 last season in the championship. He is 21/10 Coral.

    Super Single

    CHARLTON 11/10

    Double

    CARDIFF
    GILLINGHAM

    2/1

    WILSON TO SCORE 2/1

6 out of 6 Winners posted in my 2 previews yesterday

    Boom Boom etc:)

15:30 Hannover 96 vs Borussia Dortmund- Prediction – 1.3 – Suggested Bets – BTTS @8/11, Dortmund to win and BTTS @15/8, Dortmund to score 2 or more @4/7, BTTS and over 2.5 goals @21/20

Dortmund have started the season in tremendous style and I expect them to continue it here in a fixture that certainly has the potential to produce goals.

The home side have started poorly, collecting just 1 point from 3 fixtures and failing to score in their 2 previous games, including a 1.0 home defeat to a strong Leverkusen.

Last season however, Hannover were good in the BTTS market with 11 of their final 12 home fixtures producing that outcome while they only failed to score in 1 out of 17 home fixtures during the whole campaign, that against defensive stalwarts Moenchengladbach.

4 of Dortmund’s last 5 away have also seen BTTS and while they are definitely stronger this year, they will still probably continue to leak goals, given their attacking philosophies.

Historically the fixture is also good in the market with 3 of the last 4 meetings in Hannover seeing BTTS, including last season’s contest which saw Dortmund win 3.2 in March. Additionally, 8 out of 12 meetings in either destination going back 5 years have also finished with both sides scoring.

Over 2.5 goals is also likely in Hannover with over 2.5 goals scored in 9 of their last 11 home matches against Borussia Dortmund in all comps. Dortmund have also seen their last 5 away fixtures go over 2.5 goals and I think both markets could come in here.

Dortmund are in much the better form, and have a very strong team this year so I expect them to collect the winand given their form of scoring at least 3 in all 4 fixtures so far, we should be confident they will collect the points @1/2 odds on and I expect them to score at least 2 as well @4/7 odds. 3 or more is 6/4 and must have a chance as well with Dortmund scoring 16 in their previous 7 away league games.

BTTS @8/11 could be worth a shot, considering Hannover’s 94% success rate of scoring in home fixtures in the last year but I do expect an away win as well with Dortmund winning 5 of the last 6 meetings between the 2 sides. The BTTS and Dortmund win double comes in @15/8 and is definitely worth a pop.

    15:30 Hertha Berlin vs VfB Stuttgart – Prediction – 2.2 – Suggested Bets – BTTS @4/6, BTTS and over 2.5 goals @6/5

Whenever Stuttgart are involved, goals are almost always guaranteed and the 6/5 on BTTS and over 2.5 goals looks overpriced here when we consider the stats.

Remarkably, the visitors have seen 11 of their last 12 league fixtures finish with BTTS and over 2.5 goals while 7 of their last 8 on the road have also seen BTTS with 6 of those fixtures seeing BTTS and over 2.5 goals. Indeed 13 of their previous 17 league games going back to February have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals with 14 of those 17 seeing BTTS.

So 76% of all league fixtures going back 7 months have seen the BTTS and over 2.5 goal bet come in for Stuttgart with 82% of all fixtures seeing BTTS. The BTTS and over 2.5 goals price today of 6/5 suggests it has only a 45% chance of success but based on those stats for Stuttgart, we can assume it is more likely than the price suggests.

Those trends have continued into Stuttgart’s new season with 3 games played and all 3 games seeing both outcomes of BTTS and over 2.5 goals. They have lost 3.2, 3.1 and 4.1 so the pattern doesn’t seem to be changing yet and I fancy it to continue here against Hertha.

Of course Hertha aren’t nearly as prolific in the markets but last season’s meeting finished in a 3.2 win for the Berlin side while they have added new quality to their attack in the shape of Salomon Kalou and have looked more dangerous going forward than last season.

They have managed to score in all 4 matches played this season, including in their 3.1 defeat away to Dortmund and given Stuttgart’s apalling defensive record on the road (3 clean sheets from 31 away league games), they should be confident of scoring here today.

Two out of 3 super singles wasn’t too bad. From radio reports Rangers were in cruise control mode which is surprising at home in front of a huge crowd.
All week I said best bet was Rangers -2 and pleased to put it up at 13-10.

    That Charlton draw ….. :(

  223. Ryan Allan 9 years ago

Pretty good day so far with my main double winning, the 2nd still on course while my “big acca” is on track after 3 legs from 5 while my “mental acca” is still on track after 6 legs!

    Here’s what I posted earlier.

    Bo’s Deadly Double
    Total Staked – 4 Points
    Potential Returns – 9.85 Points

Rangers vs Livingston – Rangers to score 3 or more @4/7 – WON
Dortmund to score 2 or more @4/7 – WON

    Bo’s Deadly Double

Man City to score 2 or more @4/6 – LOST
    Rangers vs Livingston – Rangers -2 @5/6 – WON
Hertha Berlin vs VfB Stuttgart – BTTS @4/6 – WON

    Bo’s Tasty Treble
    Total Staked – 1 Point
    Potential Returns – 7.3 Points

Palace vs Man City – BTTS and over 2.5 goals @1/1 – LOST
Ingolstadt vs Wolfsburg -BTTS @4/6 – LOST
Norwich vs Bournemouth = BTTS and over 2.5 goals @6/5 -WON

    Bo’s Big Acca #1
    Total Staked – 0.5 Points
    Potential Returns – 8.03 Points

Hannover 96 vs Borussia Dortmund- BTTS @8/11 – WON
Charlton vs Rotherham – Charlton to win @21/20 – LOST
Middlesbrough vs MK Dons = Middlesbrough to win @1/2 – WON
Palace vs Man City BTTS @4/6 – LOST
Watford vs Swansea – Swansea to win, draw no bet @5/6 – LOST

    Bo’s Big Acca #2
    Total Staked – 0.5 Points
    Potential Returns – 8.92 Points

    Cardiff vs Huddersfield – Under 2.5 goals @ 3/4 – WON
Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona- Under 2.5 goals @7/10 – PENDING

Hannover 96 vs Borussia Dortmund – BTTS and over 2.5 goals @21/20 – WON
Frosignone vs Roma – Roma Clean sheet – NO @5/6 – PENDING

    Bo’s Mental Acca
    Total Staked – 0.1 Points

Norwich vs Bournemouth = BTTS @4/6 – WON

    Total Staked – 10.6 Points
    Minimum Returns – 9.85 Points

So 3 bets still with good chances, 1 already a winner and 16 winning selections out of 22.

    Is it almost a boom?

well it will be if we get BTTS in Frankfurt while a United win, boring draw in Madrid and a goal for Frosinone will make it a definite

    BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!!!!

Only disappointment was Palace v Man City. By all accounts they should have had a penalty, as well as Palace in a game where there was loads of chances.

Thanks for the Morecambe tip Mr F.

  225. Jordan 9 years ago

Afternoon gents. Been out all day so have just seen the scores. Surprised with Dunfermline but a point profit on the day. Better than a kick int he spuds!

Posted midweek so prices probably gone

    Rangers Over 2.5 Team Goals @ 5/6 @ 365 – 6 points **WIN**

    Dunfermline/Rangers Over 1.5 Team Goals @ 1.91 @ Co-ral – 4 points **LOSE**

  226. Jordan 9 years ago

    Ryan, no booms please.

  227. yup 9 years ago

Rangers 3.0 corect score saved the day for me

    And hibs -1

  228. WasClueless 9 years ago

Small punt on Liverpool -1 Asian Card Handicap … inspired by Stevie G book exerts about stamping on Herrera’s ankle. “his left leg stretched out on the Anfield turf. I couldn’t stop myself… I felt my studs sink into his flesh just above his ankle. It had to have hurt him” … sounds more like Roy Keane!! YNWA

  229. Ryan Allan 9 years ago

    Ok, booms should be restricted.

For example, nailing a 9 leg accumulator deserves a boom, or even a 5 fold acca at 16/1.

a 4/5 BTTS tip does not warrant a boom. :)

    • John smith 9 years ago

      Great tipping today Ryan, thanks.

  230. thechief 9 years ago

I had 3 on my Super Single shortlist and opted for the wrong one, but luck put the other two in a double. There was the expected goals in the Norwich- Bournemouth game but Wilson wasn’t to be on the score sheet, however Andre Gray was, so good day in the end with the late goal playing to level stakes.

    CHARLTON 11/10 LOST

    Double

    CARDIFF
    GILLINGHAM
    2/1 WON

    WILSON TO SCORE 2/1 LOST
    GRAY TO SCORE 21/10 WON
    ————————

In the Man utd v Liverpool I am going to go with a player who delivered at big odds for me in Europe and that’s Ander Herrera to score. He is a big price today at 6/1 at 888com. If you don’t bet with them Betfred going 5/1.

    HERRERA TO SCORE 6/1

Good luck if your having a bet

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

thechief, it’s annoying when you pick the wrong one and the others win – it happens to me a lot.

  231. thechief 9 years ago

Greg good stuff with another winning NAP sir. Mr F congrats on the Super Single, and cheers I was on it at a nice price.

  232. Greg Browning 9 years ago

Still in shock we scored 4 goals in one match Mr F,

League 2 doing the business again for goals

If anyone thinjs they are having a bad day, spare a tought for Dundee United and Partick thistle fans, haha

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Greg, I’m in shock we only scored 4.
Off to the office I’m afraid for a busy night on the Sunday Mail.
Let’s hope we get a good show at Old Trafford and I’m on thechief’s scorer tip.

  233. Jordan 9 years ago

Always the way Mr F. I write down 5 or so bets that I think have a chance and go with the best two. Madrid were in there. Dunfermline were a surprise but that’s football. Well done with the SS.

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Jordan, Dunfermline let me down on a few lines – but how much have we won from them this season? Plenty.

  234. Davros 9 years ago

Let down on a couple of small accas by surprise Dunfermline result, however, pretty gutted as my £2 (lottery bet) 20-fold BTTS acca was let down by two goals for a £35,000 payout!!
18 out of 20 correct and £2 poorer!

    • Alex_E 9 years ago

Davros that is so unlucky man… I feel for you !!!!!

Did you have the chance to cash out for a large profit at any stage?

  235. WasClueless 9 years ago

Others have tipped these … but as I have had a good day will take
    PSV, Austria Vienna, Basel > 1.5TGS 1.7/1

  236. HullShaker 9 years ago

Some crackers today lads – well done all winners.

    Posted mine midweek:

The mighty Shakers proved their mettle away to (then) leaders Walsall last week and travel to Sheff. Utd on Saturday…at 16/5 they could shock a few and have the potential to do so, though still not at full strength.

They certainly won’t make it easy for The Blades and Bury DNB at 7/4 would make a solid case at a very reasonable price with Bury yet too lose a league game.

Come on Bury…1-3 final score – that’s Walsall and Sheff Utd dispatched this week.

Been a sh*te week but that’s cheered me up no end – Mr F and Dave W, thanks for the messages.

Alex, could not cash out at any stage on Paddypower. Had not updated two early winners on their system (Bangor and Aberystwyth), and also failed to update Halifax equaliser on about 75th minute!
So waiting for Chester to score, and Brechin (bad pick in hindsight), complained about lack of cash out availability and offered me a free £10 bet!!

  244. Alex_E 9 years ago

Davros – that is really unlucky man. And that free £10 bet is like a kick in the nads!!!

Sean, haven’t looked at prices or anything but for you the options are Betis double chance or you can wait in play and hope Sociedad take the lead then look at the double chance market again for better odds or back the draw but that’s a slightly riskier option as you can still lose both bets then. Good luck whatever you decide to do

    Evening gents,

Night owl and a brief reasoning…

    HURACÁN VS. SAN LORENZO:

San Lorenzo sit top and face a Huracan team 5th from bottom.

Huracan have pulled a few points back from much higher ranked teams than themselves recently and could well notch tonight.

BTTS is a fair old price but Over 2.5 match goals is too big to ignore at 6/4 and I’ll be on that.

Good luck if you have a go.

  315. Ryan Allan 9 years ago

I was able to cover the draw after 70 minutes at 6/5 on bet365. Lucky I did it then with Messi scoring on 78 but it only got me 10 points of profit rather than the stunning 35 from my initial 0.1 point stake. Didn’t want to do a full cover, prefer the thrill of winning with peanuts but 10.9 points of profit from an initial 0.1 point bet is tasty and I have to be pleased with a day of over 17 points of profit.

Roll on Sunday. Full previews to follow for about 6 or 7 of the big fixtures tomorrow.

  316. Tee 9 years ago

Didn’t really tip it but ronaldo and Messi both opened their season accounts. Goodish prices for the 2 mentioned- ronaldo was 1.61 and Messi 2.25. Was surprised to see Messi start on the bench but he don’t need much time to find the net. Must have been itching to get on and score after seeing ronaldo get 5 earlier! One too many bets for me today tho, so overall a meh day for me
