LOOKS like the whole world was on Dundalk handicaps on Friday night – I tipped them -1 and -2, the Racing Post went -1 and another site familiar to many of us also went -2.
Form and stats pointed to more goals but that's the way it goes sometimes and I was also missing goals in my Top Treble as it fell at the first hurdle as VVV and Top Oss drew a blank after 10 meetings in a row over 2.5 goals.
My Super Single in Friday's Daily Record was St Johnstone +2 against Celtic and that came up easily – and I'm sure plenty would have been on after Saints fan Greg Browning agreed with the view. I put the tip on the site as well as Perugia to beat Serie B champions Carpi so it wasn't all bad.
Saturday's Super Single is Aston Villa draw no bet at Southampton. Villa are just about safe after an amazing turnaround under Tim Sherwood and they travel to a Southampton side who have lost three of their last four as they try to clinch/avoid a Europa League place. Spurs are in the same boat and in even worse form and if Hull hadn't lost to Burnley last week I'd also be keen on them at a fancy price.
Villa are a best 17-4 with bet365 and BetVictor and on current form it's too big. Saints are missing Fraser Forster, Jay Rodriguez, Dusan Tadic and Morgan Schneiderlin and the big keeper's loss has coincided with a defence becoming quite leaky and a Saints outfit who have netted 12 in six games can take advantage.
Saturday's card is a tough one in the UK and the continent and I'm not posting my usual selection of Daily Record tips, partly because this gives me an extra day to check team news, etc and because of a fewer number of fixtures I've mixed Saturday and Sunday games in the newspaper column.
My Top treble in the Record is Bayer Leverkusen, PSG and Barcelona (Sun) so I'm changing Barca for Monaco. Bayer have lost just once at home this season and should see off a Hoffenheim who are one of the few in the Bundesliga with nothing to play for (a Europa League place is possible but unlikely). Bayer won't finish worse than fourth but could still pip Moenchengladbach to third.
PSG need just a point at Montpellier to clinch the title but on current form should take all three. PSG have been sensational since exiting the Champions League, scoring 17 in four successive wins. It's worth noting four of their last five visits to Montpellier have finished 1-1 but that would be a surprise this time.
Monaco are short but okay when added to a treble. They are close to wrapping up third spot and a Champions League place and shouldn't have any problems at home to relegated Metz.
There will be a lot of focus on the Bundesliga today with big games at the top and bottom. To Bayer I've added Bayer Munich, Augsburg, Wolfsburg and Moenchengladbach for five homes/aways.
Bayern face a Freiburg side fighting a drop battle but having exited the Champions League with their heads held up high they should stop a domestic rot that's lasted three games. Wolfsburg are in pole position to finish second and their home form and Dortmund's poor results against better sides suggest the Wolves will be too strong.
Finally, Augsburg were close to being the Super Single for their home match with Hannover. They are 13-10 at William Hill to beat the relegation-threatened side and stay in contention for a Europa League spot which would be a great feat. And remember they won at Bayern Munich last week.

rolanrat, I’m not doing so because the card is so tough. Also many of my Record tips feature Sunday games including the Super Single. On the site where more attention is paid to stats and where the audience is different – more high-stake, online followers than low-stake shop punters – I’m not advising as many bets. Also I have to write my Record columns on a Friday morning so I have a full day more before I have to put up site tips and that gives me more time to do research and check latest team news. It’s something I should do more because I quite often see things on a Saturday that change my thinking or alter my confidence in a selection.

The state of play is ICT league season is over , they’ve had a fantastic season finishing 3rd and have a Scottish cup final to look forward to! It’s hard not not to think they’ll now have one eye on the final although you could argue players have final places to play for! With the Mighty Perth St Johnstone claiming a well deserved point, United can’t afford not to take something from this game if they have hopes of pipping us to the last European spot ( providing ICT win the cup, sorry jazz bairn) This is a bigger match for United than ICT, just like last night, we had something to play for, Celtic didn’t!
United are a shadow of the team that started the season , they still have some good players though with Ciftci being top dog! I think they’ll get something from the match and for me the bookies have priced United big enough that the double chance market gives some value

Clear it means your stake is split between the 2 goal lines…
£10 staked on o1.0,1.5gls means you have £5 on each so if there is 1 match goal you half your stake is void returned and the other half loses
On the otherhand if you have the same £10 on o1.5,2.0gls and there is 2 goals in the game then you have half your stake as a winner and the other half void and returned

Would be wary of Wolfsburg in the German homes and aways tip today as they have nothing to play for and have the cup final coming up against todays opponents Dortmund in a fortnight. Dortmund still need points though to get a respectable finish and Europa League place in theory.
Aberdeen game hard to predict. Dundee are on a terrible run. Meanwhile aberdeen might be on their hols as 2nd place has been tied up for a while. The Dons won’t get beat but it may be a rubbish draw.

robbo, the bet is under 3.5 rounds I think mate with Ladbrokes. I would say go under 5.5 rounds at 6/5 as Golovkin may be the best Middleweight around and as good as Cotto in my opinion but Monroe is not easily stopped. What is in the favour of the under 3.5 is that Willie Monroe may not be 100% ready for this as he has not complied with all the required medical examinations but being the USA he is still allowed to fight.

Not on to cause trouble but as much as I respect RAAL and what he contributes to the site, I was sweet on the chances of goals in the spfl today and despite raals comments to the contrary I had a bet and won :) I still respect and follow his tips but I just sensed a bit of ego in the dissing of other peoples ttips today which I felt was a bit harsh and unfair especially to the guys who had researched and posted what turned out to be winning tips……..jist sayin like.

Smackeroonies, my point was the sides in the league can all beat each other at anytime bar Celtic and should be avoided. If you won then top stuff mate but you will see Mr F was in agreement with my post. Of the 6 games only Caley were the higher placed side to beat their opponents.
raaljaca, it’s that time of season to be very wary. I fancied Killie and Ross County because they needed something but same went for Motherwell who lost. Aberdeen fielded a weakened team and will do so next week and ICT keep doing well.
