WHEN Scotland are your most confident bet you know it's a tough night of football betting.
I've posted my thoughts on the British and Irish sides in action tonight elsewhere and I'll touch on a couple of other games along with my top tips.
I hate to keep repeating myself, I hate to keep repeating myself but these nights of friendly betting are not for me and I'll be punting with minimum stakes.
Apart from England v Brazil there are big games between Sweden v Argentina, Holland v Italy and France v Germany.
It's Zlatan Ibrahimovic v Lionel Messi in Stockholm and there were comments on this site earlier about who's the best. Ibra has bagged more international goals and there is no argument for me – Messi wins hands down.
He has grown into the Argentina shirt after a slow start and netted 12 goals in nine internationals last year. You never get 7-2 Messi to score first these days so grab it at bet365, William Hill and boylesports. To net at any time he is 11-10 at sportingbet.
PSG star Ibra, who netted a hat-trick against England in his last international, is 7-1 at unibet to net first and 17-10 with sportingbet at anytime but could be subbed at half-time with his club facing Bastia on Friday.
Argentina should win this and are a biggest 5-4 at Ladbrokes to do so.
France have named a strong side and are 9-5 at bet365 to beat a Germany side that's suffered a few call-offs.
Short-priced sides who should win are Spain v Uruguay, Portugal v Ecuador and Chile v Egypt.

I just can’t see it not happening to be honest, what with the likes of Hulk, Neymar, Oscar, Luiz, Fabiano AND Ronaldinho on show! (I was surprised about Ronald to be honest! Thought he gave that up ages ago!)
I’m sure Brazil will get at least 2 and I’m sure England will get 1.

Don, I think it’s for historical reasons. Can’t remember what I wrote earlier but most previous meetings have been under 2.5 goals.

It’s the 24th meeting of the sides – 21st friendly – with 13 of the non-competitive meetings finishing 1-0 or 1-1 according to Oddschecker. A draw is the most likely outcome and 1-1 pays 6-1 with William Hill.
This fixture has seen over 2.5 goals only four times and BetVictor are a best priced 20-23 for under 2.5 goals.
Shame that 1 of my tips Yeovil didnt play last night but an easy 5-0 win for my other Cliftonville,tonight we have a lot of international friendlies which i hate,they are terrible to predict with several subs often being used by both teams, the only good bets i see are England v Brazil BTTS @ 7/10 AND OVER 2.5 GOALS @ 5/6 at bwin, england have scored in all but 1 of their previous 23 internationls and brazil in all but 1 of their previous 17.
Brazil have scored 14 goals in their last 5 games and Englands record mirrors this exactly so neither team are goal shy,in last 3 internationals between them with England as hosts both teams have scored,so im happy to go on BTTS and over 2.5 goals.
My next tip is for there to be under 2.5 goals in the Malta v N.Ireland match odds around 8/13.
It is very hard to see a goal feast in this fixture looking through the recent home and away stats for the game, neither side has a great habit of finding the back of the net, since the turn of 2011 Malta have only managed to score 6 goals in 8 games at home and Northern Ireland’s record isn’t any better with only 3 goals in the last 8 away games.
Very confident of all the above tips coming in.

Paul think your missing out on a good night for draws on the internationals tonight, I know friendlies are bad betting wise but 4 that stand out to me are Holland Italy, Turkey Czech, Greece Switzerland and Ukraine Norway. I may be wrong but imo there will be quite alot of draws tonight
