THERE was little to look at for anyone on Thursday so it was a no bet day for the likes of myself and Jordan.
However, Greg spotted value on a friendly and posted a nice winner.
There are some decent games on Friday and Jordan has already posted tips.
They include one from the Erste league featuring our old friends Top Oss whose last 21 matches have gone over 2.5 goals. Eindhoven are their hosts and there could be plenty of goals as they crashed 4-3 to rock-bottom Achilles on Monday.
As well as the Erste league there is Greg's favourite Ligue 1 games. In England Sheffield Wednesday should beat Birmingham at home having showed their ambition by splashing out for striker Jordan Rhodes.
Doncaster should win at Newport although the latter worry me slightly due to the state of Newport's pitch and the number of signings they made in January.
Napoli tackle Genoa in Serie A, Espanyol are at home to Socieded in La Liga, Mainz entertain Augsburg in the Bundesliga and PSG go to Bordeaux.
So plenty to look and for a treble I've decided to go with Wednesday, Napoli to score 2+ having hit Bologna for seven last week and over 2.5 goals at Eindhoven v Top Oss. The goals have dried up for Oss but they've conceded 14 in five league games.
Dries Mertens hit a hat-trick against Bologna and netted the goal in the 1-1 draw at home to Palermo. The Belgian midfielder has 23 for the season and for a Super Single I'm on him to score tonight. He is 6-7 with 888sport and as short as 1-2 in places.

Tonight in the A-League, we have cellar dwellers Adelaide against in form Perth Glory. Things just keep getting worse and worse for Adelaide. They’ve now lost keeper Galekovic through injury, as well as defensive midfielder Sanchez through suspension. The loss of team captain Galekovic is a huge blow, as he stands as one of the most consistent keepers in the league, and through his performances alone, he has kept Adelaide from complete maulings in many games this season. The Reds have recruited several new players to fill the gaps left by injuries and players leaving (leading scorers Guardiola and Henrique), but none of the new players are eligible to play today.
Perth are having a strong run of late, and with first choice keeper Reddy back, they will be expected to run out winners today. They don’t have the strongest away form (1 away win this season) however, which does worry me, but if they are going to pick up a result, surely it will be at Coopers Stadium.
Chris Beath is tonight’s ref, and the most card happy referee we have, handing out an overage 4.5 cards per game. However the line on cards is too high for my tastes, so I’m avoiding that tonight.

Final Verdict
When does the Bremen BTTS gravy train come to a halt? I can’t stop backing them, I won’t stop backing them! Every weekend, without fail, Bremen deliver the goods and I am pretty annoyed that I didn’t make them my NAP or NB last Sunday as they achieved yet another BTTS and over 2.5 goal performance in their 3.2 loss at Augsburg.
BTTS is short @8/15 but I don’t expect the run to stop here with Monchengladbach improving considerably in their last 2 league outings following the winter break. Remember, this is a team that finished in the top 4 last season and if they can regain some of that form, they should continue to rise up the table during the 2nd half of the season.
I expect goals of course, with the visitors probably the likelier to edge the win, certainly on current form with Bremen now losing each of their last 3 and winning only 2 of their last 12.
Although the visitors have been awful on the road this season, their last 2 performances suggest an improvement in the side has been achieved during the winter-break and given the home-sides generosity in defence, I can’t avoid BTTS and over 2.5 goals here @10/11 with the short price of 8/15 for BTTS still worth taking for BTTS specialists Bremen.

Liverpool look a pale imitation of the side that was tearing the league up back in Autumn and with only 1 win in 10, you have to fancy Spurs to emerge with a point or better at generous odds of 3/4, especially when you consider just how poor Liverpool have been lately.
Spurs have struggled at times on their travels, and they have not found their best form in recent wins over Middlesbrough and Wycombe but they seem the fresher outfit, and I expect them to avoid defeat here in what should be a decent game with plenty of chances at both ends.
Liverpool almost always score at home and the chances of BTTS look pretty good to me @7/10 and that, along with Spurs not to lose are my stand out bets here.
Goals should come, and we may well go over 2.5 goals so the double with BTTS @5/4 is worth a punt as well.

Polish ekstraklasa is back tonight after the winter break. This league has been consistent with goals if you pick the right games.
My attention is on 5pm match today ruch v cracovia. Both are fighting against relegation and have leaky defences. Ruch matches go consistently over and about 80% have gone over 2.5. Cracovia know where the goal is and consistently score. Both teams can contribute here and we should see goals.
Stats also point to a late goal with 16 and 17 late goals from 70 minute onwards for both teams.

After postponements ruined my treble on Wednesday to leave a small profit from the one game that did go ahead, it’s onto Friday. That means the Eerste Divisie is back and there are some good looking games on that card. Obviously, like many, I’ll be on Eindhoven tonight and I considered greatly backing them to score O2.5TG, Win and O2.5 Match Goals and so forth. However, rather than put all the eggs in Eindhoven’s basket, I’m hoping they will at least notch two and leave Napoli to do the rest of the business.
No real write up needed. Like Eindhoven, Napoli are visited by a side in terrible form who are conceding a fair few. Napoli disappointed when held to a 1-1 draw at home to a poor Palermo side but bounced back by scoring 7 away from home. Let’s hope they can put two away tonight.

Napoli destroyed Bologna 7-1 in there last contest but will be without Jose Callejon in this fixture against Genoa after seeing red. I would expect Mertens to move out wide and Milik to be given the centre berth. No show for Adelaide in Oz this morning. Nothing worse than waiting for one team to score when the opposition is scoring for fun, and I even called the fifth for Perth. Downs two bets but still have tonight’s main double to salvage something. Eindhoven must be being backed to the Sun and back (Not the tabloid office) as the team goals are only 1/3 so fingers crossed.
I have a busy day tomorrow so just putting up tomorrows punt.
Bury seemed to have turned a corner over their last four despite their 2-1 loss at Shrewsbury last time out, but the Shrews had been playing well over the past few weeks themselves, so Bury did well to only concede twice. They’ll take heart in the fact that they’ve scored 8 in their last two at home and host a Swindon side 2 points behind, and losers of their last three. Swindon haven’t kept a clean sheet on the road since October so I fancy @hullshaker‘s boys to grab a goal, and maybe even three points.
Second pick is Frankfurt to score at Leverkusen. The visitors sealed their quarter-final Pokal place on Wednesday at Hannover so fatigue could be an issue with Meier playing the full 90, but they’ve been decent on the road at times this season with the fourth best points tally away from home. A couple of weeks ago I picked Leverkusen to score twice against Monchengladbach who are dire on their travels. The bet won, but Leverkusen still managed to concede three goals in the second half against a side who had only scored 3 goals in their previous 8 away games all season. There is talk of Meier being rested, but with Frankfurt’s position and their next game not till the 18th, I can’t see the veteran wanting to miss out. Leverkusen will be without Chicharito and Calhanoglu, their two top scorers, and their last Bundesliga clean sheet at home was in October, seven games ago. 4/7 for Frankfurt to score screams value to me even though they’ve played midweek and I’ll happily double it up with the Bury goal.

The 9pm news was worst timing possible but you know the score now. As you say Warburton was interested in Forest job and Rangers have decided to use that as a way of getting rid of him. They’ll be hoping to avoid compo payments but may be settled in court.
