WITH the Champions League on the horizon there aren't as many big games as usual today – and of course some sides will be resting players for big ties.
Not Real Madrid though. They beat Sevilla 4-1 on Saturday with a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick. Not Barca either as they have started Lionel Messi against Getafe in the early game. And not Juventus who put out a full-strength side as they floored Fiorentina 2-0.
Having lost a day yesterday I don't have as much reasoning as usual. My Super Single – as I try to follow the success of Barnsley yesterday – is Mainz who are at struggling Augsburg.
Mainz's only defeat since the season resumed was at Bayern and they have won their last at Greuther Furth and Stuttgart. Augusburg appointed Stefan Reuter as boss before new year but his side remain second bottom with just one home win all season.
It won't be easy but I'm on the away at 15-8 with BetVictor.
My mad, mental 37-1 treble of Bristol City, Yeovil and St Mirren was only beaten by Saints failing to score against 10-man Aberdeen.
Today I'm being less ambitious and starting with Bologna who have been scoring for fun. They have hit 13 in five and should beat a Siena side with just one win and two draws away from home.
Stay in Italy and bottom-of-the table Palermo at home to Pescara. Palermo are struggling because as usual their away form is dreadful – just four draws all season.
At home they have won three and lost four but Pescara are poor away too with two victories and just seven goals.
Palermo's poor campaign results inthe sacking of Gianpiero Gasperini and Alberto Malesani is in as new coach and with 10 players bought in the transfer window.
Top man Fabrizio Miccolli is suspended but they have enough quality to pick up the points. It's a must-win for Palermo who often sizzle in Sicily.
Complete the treble with Lyon against Lille in the French League. It's the dreaded Sunday 8pm game but I don't want both teams to score – even though it tempts because this happened in the last sis seasons.
But just a victory for Lyon will do as they try to keep pace with PSG at the top. Lyon were shocked last time out at Ajaccio so need to get back on track against a side with just two aways wins all season.

Lyon-Lille would be another good BTTS selection, 7 meetings in a row in which both teams have scored. I’d rather put that in an accumulator than some of the Italian games, those 2pm games normally mess up my coupons in the past.

Porto creating some chances, but Olhanense playing with 11 defenders. Also there were hailstones for 4 mins, so play got halted with clock running also couple of injuries but ref only adds on 2 mins stoppage time just when Porto are fired up. Not gonna be easy by looks of it.

The Record is the first paper sold out in corby every Day and yes there is huge rangers & Celtic following. Rangers opened the new stadium either early 2012 or late 2011 and put 7 or 8 past corby and there are loads of both sets of fans travel up north for the games every weekend – some 5+ hour drive!
