JUVENTUS to score in both halves landed me a third comfortable Super Single in a row but after Wednesday's full house it was difficult not to be disappointed by Athletic Bilbao letting down two trebles.
The Juve bet paid a best 23-20 at 10bet but Bilbao failed to cover the handicap and also beat the goals treble as they struggled past Alcoyano 1-0 in the Spanish Cup.
The Super Single though is always my main bet so it's been three profitable nights in a row.
Regulars will be aware my focus is now on my Saturday Daily Record column so there's much from me on a Friday – but plenty of others will post good tips.
In the English Championship Millwall entertain Bolton in what could be a tight contest. The Lions ended a lean spell by beating Brighton while Neil Lennon's visitors are unbeaten in six with three draws and three wins.
Milwall will be boosted by that victory – albeit against struggling Seagulls – but Bolton look big at 13-5 with BetVictor and Bolton draw no bet is a possible Super Single at 8-5 with the same firms.
Likewise Burton look big at 3-1 away to Southend in League Two so again Burton draw no bet at 7-4 is my thinking. Tranmere take on Cambridge in the other game and both sides are in decent form.
In the Bundesliga Bayern Munich are a short price to win at Mainz and Celta Vigo should beat Almeria in La Liga. Bayern haven't conceded in their last six away games so to win to nil is tempting at 37-40 with McBookie and BetVictor.
Lens face Nice in French Ligue 1 with the visitors being tipped and there have been loads of suggestions for Ligue 2 teams such as leaders Dijon at second-bottom Chateauroux at over evens – the big price is explained by Dijon's poor away form.
Porto take on Setubal in the Portuguese league and in the end that's the game I've picked for my Super Single. The champions are of course extremely short to win and markets such as Jackson Martinez to score, Porto to score in both halves and Porto to score three or more are also odds on.
That suggests to me Porto are expected to win by several goals and looking at the stats they've beaten Setubal by more than one goals in 11 of the last 13 meetings. It was 3-0 in Oporto last season and 3-1 away so I'm taking a chance on Porto covering the minus two handicap at 1-1 with bet365.
I'm too busy with Saturday's Daily Record column so for the moment that's my only bet. I'm doing a 1pt Trixie on Bolton draw no bet, Burton draw no bet and Dijon but I'm not confident to put it up as a top tip.

I’ve taken the +1.0 Asian Handicap at fairly low odds, but the A-League is so unpredictable lately and cost me a bomb so playing is safe. With this type of Handicap if Newcastle Jets lose by just one goal then stake is refunded. This is a good bet if fancying an underdog to get a result. Even if i’m wrong, if they can limit the defeat to just one goal then the stake is returned and I dont lose.

Took Bayern away from my double because they are very poor value when missing a few top names and i can see this match being a lot tighter than we may have first thought. Replacing them with Btts in the Millwall v Bolton game and with Boltons recent change of fortunes under Neil Lennon i’d expect them to at least score against the 2nd worst home defence in the championship,4/5 of Millwalls last homes has seen this come in and so has last 4 meetings.
Adding this with over 2.5 in the Crusaders v Dungannon match i mentioned last night will give you a decent priced double of 9/5.

Yes, Lewandowski now being out is a blow but the players who have been filling in for the longer term absentees and playing each week have hardly been awful seeing Bayern have just broke the record for the least amount of goals ever conceded after so many games so they’re still doing ok.

@ KEVIN – +1 Asian Handicap means your bet wins if the selection Wins or Draws. The beauty of it is, if they lose by 1 goal only, your stake is refunded. Its a great bet when you think an underdog with odds of about $4-$5+ will get a result but could still lose in a tight one.
*essentially means its a double chance with a ‘lose by 1 goal no bet’ thrown in.

Trends do not always mean that BTTS will not land today. Just like yesterday’s pick I feel that today will be different. One of the reasons I have picked this game is exactly the reason you have pointed out.
Also let me mention – Youve missed out a major factor. The other main reason is that you haven’t noticed the fact that the away team have scored against Novara who sit top of the league which to me clearly shows they are capable of hitting the net….
Albino the – (away side)….have also scored against Renate so regardless of whether Mantovas have had there last few games not be BTTS it doesn’t worry me at all.

After watching Swansea last week against spurs, I have to make swans my super single this weekend. In my opinion Swansea were so unlucky to lose last week, and had the majority of clear cut chances, and were unlucky not to get a second with the game 1-1 with spurs. I can see Swansea dominating the ball against a hull side that are in danger of dropping Into the bottom3. 6/4 is huge in my opinion. In wilfred bony they have a red hot striker. Llambias, who was the managing director of Newcastle, was named Ibrox chief executive on Friday.

In this battle of the basement boys the value lies with the home side. Dortmund have been short priced favourites for the majority of the season despite their abject form. They have just 1 win in 7, have lost 4 of their last 5 away games, drawing the other, and also conceded 2 goals in 4 of those 5 matches. Bremen arent doing any better, but they are scoring goals and have been hard to beat at home. They’ve scored 10 in their last 4 matches, and have lost just 2 of 7 home games this season. Taking all this into account, my recommended bets for the game are as follows:

Dortmund have won just ONE away game in the league all season(their first), losing SIX and drawing ONE since then. They are of course a capable team on their day, but the cold hard stats make these prices look very generous indeed)

Reason is that man United have scored at least 2 goals from 5 of their last 6 games and qpr tend to score at least one at home and west Bromwich are poor.

1st double let down by Kiryat Gat, 2nd double let down by Algers. Looking back, your post wasn’t clear… As you had Algers to win in the 1st double, when you included it in the 2nd double you only referenced the Turkish game for Over 1.5, you didn’t say over 1.5 for Algera 2nd time round. That’s why it failed for me cos I had Algers to win.

QPR FAN – it’ for the result at the end of overtime & penalties if the 60min result is a draw. You get lower odds for money line, but much safer as you wont immediately lose your bet if its a draw in standard time

Villa wont get a draw with United tomorrow,they have a history of failure against the better sides in the prem lg,not only do they get beat but more often than not cant get a goal as has happened this season against Arsenal,City,Chelsea and Everton. Uniteds record over past 5 years has been perfect against Villa.
