ANDY MURRAY'S hopes of retaining his Olympic title have received a huge boost with world No.1 Novak Djokovic sent crashing in round one.
British No.1 Murray is now odds on at 10-11 with Sportingbet to seal singles gold with Rafa Nadal – making his comeback after two months out with a wrist injury – next in the betting at 8-1 followed by Djokovic's conqueror Juan Martin Del Potro at 9-1 and Kei Nishikori at 10-1.
Murray plays his second-round match today against Argentina's Juan Monaco – who is 12-1 at Betfair for a shock win, while the Scot to progress in straight sets pays 3-10 at Sportingbet.
Nadal will hope his wrist holds up when he takes on Andreas Seppi and the likes of David Goffin and Gilles Simon are also in action.

A lot of question marks around all the favourites for the time trial. Froome looked a bit cooked in the road race, Dumoulin has a wrist injury, Tony Martin has a knee problem, Dennis hasn’t had a decent TT all year, same goes for Kiriyenka and the course looks to hard for Cancellara.
Roglic did really well in the road race, finishing 26th in front of all other TT specialists. He won the long TT in the Giro this year and I really can see him getting a medal on Wednesday, let’s hope he can get the gold one.

I already tipped Roglic to win this. Phinney haven’t had a very good season and there is not any indication of good form. He is one of the heavier guys in this race and that really doesn’t help with the amount of climbing in this time trial.
Cancellara abandoned the Tour de France early to focus on this race. He looked really strong in the road race and was impressive on the climbs to help his Swiss team mates. I think we will see a good performance from him in his last racing season. Tony Martin was the best in the world in TT’s, but that form is gone for a long time. He had to abandon the Tour de France in the last stage with knee problems after a crash, we haven’t seen any form in the road race and course should be a bit too hard for him.
