WE'RE counting down the days to the start of the season and there have been loads of good comments on the anteposts thread.
On Tuesday there are really only two things for me to bet on – Champions League qualifiers and Challenge Cup. In fact scrub that – the new-look Scottish Challenge Cup kicks off and this season it includes Under-20 sides as well as Irish and Welsh league outfits who will join later.
First-round ties include Celtic U-20s v Annan (live on Premier Sports), Cove v Dundee U-20s and Clyde v Killie U-20s. This needs an expert on youth football which I'm not and trying to predict some of these could be tougher than biting into a rhino.
Celtic coach Tommy McIntyre says he is taking a full squad to the game at Morton's ground plus some younger players. The Hoops are 8-13 at BetBright and should beat a side who should be preparing for Saturday – but I've taken a decision not to bet on these games at this stage as it's a bit of lottery. If anyone is tempted goals could be the way to go.
In the Racing Post today my old mate Mark Walker suggests Clyde could even play their U-20s against Partick's U-20s as the League 2 favourites want to make a flying start on Saturday. If that's the case the Jags would be worth taking at 15-8 with BetBright and I'll watch for line-ups.
There have been plenty of goals in the Champions League qualifiers and return ties include Dundalk v BATE and Red Star Belgrade v Ludogorets. Dundalk did well to hold BATE to 1-0 in Belarus but it will be tough again tonight and I think both to score is the shout.
BATE defend well but Dundalk have goals in them and netted two away to Icelanders FH. The problem is they need at least a goal and could be caught on the counter by a side who had 23 shots on goal in the first leg.
The Red Star game was an open affair and the underdogs did well to draw 2-2 in Bulgaria. Should be goals again as both teams go for it. Red Star's last five have seen btts and overs and Ludogerets are out if they don't score.
A both to score double on these games is my only bet tonight because I've decided to leave out the Scottish games. If team news changes my opinion on the Challenge Cup matches I'll add comments or tips.
My only bet on Monday was a 1pt treble and thanks again to Radu for Craiova who beat ASA Mures 2-1. The other games were both to score at Orebro v Malmo and Valerenga v Molde but unfortunately on this occasion over 2.5 goals would have been the way to go as both finished 3-0.
Well done to Greg who picked a Polish game for a goal in the first 10mins, 20mins and 30mins and the opener came after just three. Jordan had a profitable day too with three winners from five tips.

Have any of you guys had any experiences with bookmaker Winner? Absolute pile of crap from them. For the Barcelona game tomorrow against Leicester they had a very good price for Turan to score anytime. He was 15/2 anytime and 25/1 first so I deposited £250 and I attempted to place £200 on anytime goalscorer. I got the message referring to trader which triggered alarm bells straight away. First bet and they are already referring to traders, not a good sign. It spun for ages and what usually happens is the bet is accepted or they offer you a lower stake at that price. It came back with an error message from me and asked me to refresh the page. I refreshed the page and all markets for the Barcelona game were unavailable. After a couple of minutes I refreshed their page and markets were now available but odds cut to 10/1 and 3/1. I phoned up to complain and you get the usual nonsense. The girl trying to tell me that the market was perhaps not available because traders were updating prices. No doh. Yeah updating prices on the back of me attempting to put on a bet. Poor show from them, they could have at least had the decency to cut the price after I had placed my bet and if it was the stake they were unhappy they could have offered me a lower stake at that price. Needless to say I went from opening my account to closing my account within the matter of 10 mins. Sick of bookies that are too afraid to take a bet.

You maybe need to be a bit more wise about getting round restrictions.
For example don’t make alarm bells ring with a big stake for your first bet.
Try some smaller bets first then go in big.
All bookies monitor new accounts because they’re businesses and like it or not they don’t want people who are winners.
I’ve said on here several times I know people who have placed their first bet and it’s lost and they’ve had the account closed because of the type of bet they placed.
Also bookies share information so they maybe knew about you already.

Liking the look of Mr F’s double too and after Aussie double success got to be worth a tenner
Mr Fixit, it’s getting harder and harder to get a bet on these days. Bet365, Paddy Power, William Hill, Betfted, Coral accounts are all restricted to 50p stake or less. I opened them all up under my brothers details and after hammering them they are all restricted too. For a while I had a bit of fun with them though. They would accept a large stake single but they would accept a big stake double which would include my initial single as well as a market for something in play, usually priced at 1/200 or 1/500. Basically just getting the single on. That happened for a while and then they stopped. Betfred no longer accepting any bets now at all but I’m still hammering them in their shops. Staff always accept my stake as they know when I win I slip them between £20 and £50 depending on my return.
You must be absolutely smashing it then, bookies are happy to accept my bets… wonder why haha

Shop bets are easier to get a lot of times because prices are shorter and they can’t monitor what you’re doing.
The fact you give staff a bung though has no bearing on them taking your bets.
They’ll have guidelines on when to consult traders and you must be OK as far as shops go.

I did this type of bet with last year’s champions league qualifiers on second legs were things were tightly poised and either team could qualify easily but bookies will have one team in mind as favourites which I go against. I had some success on it last year.
