EVERY Saturday William Hill's Owen Scott and McBookie's Paul Petrie do battle in the junior football challenge.
The dynamic duo will be putting up trebles every weekend and Owen has the bragging rights after three wins this season. He's made £120.39 with Paul still to get off the mark.
For those who don't know anything about junior football the level of the top clubs is equivalent or in some cases better than Scottish League 2 outfits and we can gauge that easier now with the champions of the three regions – North, East and West – qualifying to play in the
William Hill Scottish Cup along with the Junior Cup winners.
The term “junior” has nothing to do with players' ages and it often confuses people outside Scotland. Some of the top clubs such as Auchinleck, Hurlford, Irvine Meadow and Linlithgow pay bigger wages than most League 1 and League 2 teams and therefore attract players who could be plying their trade at a higher level.
McBookie list all games online and take bets on every junior match while
William Hill only take bets in shops.
Here are this weekend's tips from Paul and Owen – and they could be weather-hit.
Paul writes: “First up in the West Region I am backing Largs to beat Kilsyth at 4-6. Largs are still unbeaten in the league and this will be a big test of their title credentials.
After a good start to the season Kilsyth have lost two of their last three league games and were also knocked out of the Scottish Cup last weekend. This will be a tough game but one Largs need to win if they are to go back up to the Superleague. In the East Region I am going for Blackburn Utd to beat Dunbar at 8-13. Blackburn are serious title contenders and are yet to suffer defeat in the league this season. Last week Tranent beat Dunbar 4-0 so if Blackburn are to keep the challenge up at the top of the league they need to match that sort of performance. I am confident they will. Finally, in the North Region I am picking Nairn St Ninian to beat Islavale, also at 8-13. Both teams are near the top end of the table but it is Nairn who look more likely to put up a title challenge. They have won their last three games scoring plenty of goals in the process and have only lost once at home all season. Draws have been the problem for Islavale so I am favouring the home side in what will be a close game.

Owen writes: My ambitious plans of three draws last week never paid off but all three ties were close and were all only won by a single goal but still no returns.
This week once again it looks like try to find the games that are on before you have a bet. I'm starting my treble by going against a side who have served me well this season and I'm taking Hurlford at 8-11 to beat Troon at home in the league.
Troon had an excellent victory last week at home to Bo'ness but I reckon Hurlford away will be a tougher task and I expect the home side to win.
In the East I'm taking in the top-of-the-table clash and I'm on the away side Bonnyrigg at 8-5 to pile the pressure on Kelty as they look to wrestle the title away from Hearts. It will be a tough game but I feel Bonnyrigg are coming into this match with better form.
To complete the treble I'm heading back West and taking Arthurlie at 6-5 to beat Irvine Meadow at home. Every time I go against Meadow they seem to win but this week I think Lie will take all three points
