I PUT a lot of faith in Brighton and Reading on Easter Monday and while they made me sweat they came through in the end for a nice Super Single double.
The accumulators didn't go quite as planned with the likes of Newcastle and Southend letting me down.
It was a great day for Greg with two winners from two – an even-money nap and 5-1 over 2.5 goals treble while Desmond had one winner from three and that was a 2-1 both to score double.
After a mad Monday it's all about the Champions League on Tuesday with Leicester facing Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich travelling to Real Madrid in their quarter-final returns.
I've posted a separate preview and two bets I like are Real not to lose on the night and Atletico Madrid to score. After the success of Monday's Super Single double I'm taking this at a fraction under evens – and that was the price last night. Odds change as most people are aware.
Elsewhere there is a big game in League One with second-placed Bolton, just one point ahead of Fleetwood, facing a Bury side only one point clear of the drop zone. Bolton should win this but are no bigger than 1-2 so Bolton. Having looked at recent form Bolton have netted once in four games and Bury once in five – so best bet could be under 2.5 goals at evens with 188BET.
In France, PSG should go level on points with Monaco, having played a game more, by winning at Metz to make it eight in a row on the road in Ligue 1. They are short at at a best 2-9 with William Hill so finding value is difficult. Even 29-goal Edison Cavani is hardly worth backing to score but I'm risking 1pt on him, unders at Bolton and over 2.5 goals at Real Madrid.

As much as it pains me to say it, I don’t hold out much hope for us – I love my team and can’t abide the other lot but I’m a realist when it comes to betting.
We are back in a rut and where before, we at least were scoring goals even if we conceded more, our attacking prowess had dried up.
There’s not many things going in our favour – three to be precise and the 1st one counts for little: Bolton haven’t done a ‘season double’ on us in nearly 100 years; The Trotters have lost their last two; Gary Madine is missing which leaves a big gap to fill.
Still, this pales into insignificance if you look at the key players we (still) have out: Ismail, Tutte, Jones, Mayor, Cameron to name but a few.
They have the tighest defensive record in the Division and we really struggled to break them down in the H2H back in October which was up there as ‘Crappest Game Ever’ candidate.
So, with black-pudding tinted glasses on, I could maybe see us grabbing a goal in a narrow defeat but in reality, I just can’t see it…but I’m not backing those b*stards to win ?
One selection for me and – especially if Madine is absent – I reckon there is a seasoned and still pretty damn useful striker who can capitalise on our defensive frailties:

TEMPERLEY VS. ROSARIO CENTRAL (23.00 KO):
The last time these two went H2H was back in 2015 with Rosario scoring the solitary goal and whilst more recent games for both hardly scream goals, I feel that there could be a bit of value to be had.
Temperley lie in 26th place with Rosario in 16th but the Argentinian Primera is a fairly tight pack around the middle and both sides – particularly the latter – aren’t a million miles of a Copa Sud America slot as a Top 10 side.
Temperley have llost only once in their last 6 games with home advantage being the positive factor – they have scored 3-3 and 2 team goals at home during that spell.
Rosario have lost just 20% of their last 10 games and are undefeated in 4 with 3 wins and a draw but what stands out is that they have scored a minimum of a goal in every one of their last 7 on the road scoring 2 or more in 3 of those games!
Clearly, the bookies don’t fancy goals but I reckon these two both have enough about them to score and that opens up the door for a bit of potential value.

In what’s expected to be an open game with plenty of goals I spotted excellent value for a goalscorer. Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini goes up for set pieces and scored in the first leg against Barcelona. He’s a stand out price of 75/1 for first goalscorer which is great considering he’s only 25/1 with the likes of Hills, Lads and Skybet. I’ll have a few quid on him for first goalscorer and I’ll have a bit more on him to score anytime at 25/1. Again this is way overpriced compared to the 13/2 offered by the above bookies. The 75/1 and 25/1 prices are very generous considering he just scored against Barcelona.

A mixed bag for myself yesterday with two winners and two losers – pretty much broke even on the day. Today’s card is comparatively slim but of course there are the two huge games in the Champions League.
I’m on one main pick tonight and it’s at slightly shorter odds. I’d also note here that this price was taken last night, so I’ve no idea if it’s since dropped. Atletico Madrid travel to Leicester having lost just 3 times this calendar year. Two of those three losses were against Barcelona and, perhaps more importantly, all of them came at home. Atletico haven’t lost on their travels since December. Leicester may well once again prove doubters wrong, but they couldn’t touch the ball in the first leg. I’m banking on Godin and his colleagues to be a bit smarter to Leicester’s direct tactics and hopefully Atletico come away with at least a draw.
PSG are another big favourite tonight as they play Metz away from home. The price about PSG scoring a couple was far too skinny, but again, they’ve managed to score at least two in all but one of their domestic away games this calendar year. The solitary occasion they didn’t? A trip to Rennes – a side who have conceded just 12 goals at home all season. And still, PSG won that game 0-1. Metz haven’t been bad at home this year, but all the giants have gone there and trashed them (Lyon 0-3, Nice 2-4, Monaco 0-7). PSG ought to do the same.

One price that I thought was far bigger than I anticipated last night was in the bookings market. This kind of bet is usually more of a hunch-based punt, but I think there are a number of potential scenarios that could see Midfield General Arturo Vidal get into the referee’s notebook tonight. Booked in the first leg, Vidal is a key member of the Bayern side as he tenaciously breaks up play and looks to quickly turn over possession. Bayern may well dominate proceedings again (as they did until the red card), with Real looking to counter and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Vidal cynically stopping a breakaway in its tracks.
Furthermore, he’s prone to being a hot head. If the tie is slipping away from Bayern, we may see a late flurry of frustrated bookings from Bayern and time-wasting ones for Real. I wouldn’t expect Vidal to be too far away from either of those scenarios.

Hello Hull. Had a look at Bowers game this morning and the 8/13 available is for ht/ft which is slightly different to win both halves. Bowers only need to be 1 up at half time and still be winning 1-0 at full time for the bet to land unlike win both halves which resets the score at half time. Good luck anyway.
