SOME interesting races at Sandown where CALL ME LORD (3.35) can restore his reputation after disappointing at odds-on at Huntingdon.
Nicky Henderson’s five-year-old is a course and distance winner, beating Dolos and Fidux last April, and scored on soft in his native France.
HITHERJACQUES LADY (12.45) has a bit to find on official figures but will have conditions to her liking in the mares’ hurdle.
Oliver Sherwood’s six-year-old made a pleasing comeback at Ascot, leading until headed at the last by Graceful Legend and Jester Jet. The ground was riding much faster that day and front-running Hitherjacques Lady won both her novice hurdles on heavy.
WESTERN RYDER (2.25), fifth in last year’s Champion Bumper at Cheltenham, has won his last two races, at Chepstow and Cheltenham, on very testing ground and looks a worthy market leader in the 32Red Tolworth Novices’ Hurdle.
Kalashnikov is unbeaten in three runs for Amy Murphy, landing the odds in decisive fashion at Donny last time. The track was riding pretty good and this is a very different test in the mud.
Over at Lingfield, EASY TIGER (1.45) is a bit risky as he is stepping up to 1m 2f for the first time but he has been in grand form at the track.
After finishing a running-on sixth to useful Gulliver over 7f, being trapped wide for much of the trip, Easy Tiger duly improved for a try at a mile, chasing home in-form Goring.
There are some disappointing types in opposition and Easy Tiger should get a nice tow into the race if Ming Dynasty runs as free as he did on his last visit to Lingfield.
Serenity Now (7-2), my sole selection yesterday, kept the hot streak going and full marks to all winning tipsters yesterday.

Call Me Lord looks a good ‘un and it was nice to end the week on a high. Easy Tiger was a generous 7-1 shot at Lingfield but no bet tomorrow as I don’t fancy the Plumpton card. The website has thrown up plenty of winners this week, with John and club members pitching in with some inspired selections. There are few better feelings in life than taking money off the auld enemy!
