After a brilliant start for British hopefuls at Wimbledon, things have started to spiral somewhat over the past few days, with Katie Boulter’s second round exit the most disappointing result of the Championships so far.
On day five, several other British hopefuls will continue their campaigns with Emma Raducanu’s clash with Aryna Sabalenka the highlight.
Elsewhere, the reigning men’s champion, Carlos Alcaraz, will also be in third-round action, as will Taylor Fritz who has been taken to five sets in both of his opening matches so far.

Wimbledon day 5 tips: Our picks
Carlos Alcaraz 3-1 Jan Lennard Struff (15/4)
Carlos Alcaraz hasn't been overly impressive so far at the Championships, winning his first round match in five sets before making hard work of a match against a player ranked outside the world's top 800 in Oliver Tavern.
While Alcaraz remains the favourite to win the tournament, Jan Lennard Struff will provide him with a stern test, and if the Spaniard's level doesn't go up, then Struff should be capable of taking a set off him.
When that happens, Alcaraz will almost certainly go up a gear and take the match away from his opponent, but dropping sets in grand slams has become almost the norm for him in recent times. He only won two matches at Rolland Garros in straight sets and lost four sets in five matches at the Australian Open in January.
Emma Raducanu vs Aryna Sabalenka – over 22.5 games (6/5)
Emma Raducanu put in her best display in years on Wednesday at Wimbledon, dismantling the 2023 champion, Marketa Vondrousova, in straight sets on Centre Court.
The manner of the victory on Wednesday was particularly impressive due to its relentless nature. The Brit didn't hold back with any of her ground strokes, and Vondrousova couldn't deal with the power that was coming back at her.
While Sabalenka will be capable of dealing with that, the world number one wasn't overly impressive in her match on the same day against Marie Bouzkova. The Czech woman should have won the first set, and even after losing it, she still managed to make the match last 23 matches.
If Raducanu is at the same level as she was on Wednesday, then she will comfortably be able to match the efforts of Bouzkova.
Cameron Norrie to beat Mattia Bellucci (8/13)
Cameron Norrie is having a brilliant Wimbledon so far, and produced a stunning display to beat Frances Tiafoe in four sets in the second round.
After beating Tiafoe and Bautista-Agut already this week, there is a danger of him dropping his level now that he is up against a ‘lesser name', but the support of the home crowd should make that a non-issue.
This is the first time that Bellucci has ever made it to the third round of a grass court tournament, while Norrie often produces his best tennis on this surface.
