The second day of Wimbledon will take place on Tuesday, 1 July, and the day marks the arrival of three of the biggest names on the men's side of the draw – Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic and Jack Draper.
All three men are among the favourites for the title this year, making this side of the draw the more difficult of the two.
On the women's side, Coco Gauff will get her pursuit of a first Wimbledon title underway. Elsewhere, teenage sensation Mirra Andreeva will also kickstart her campaign as she looks to become the latest teenager Wimbledon champion.
Before play gets underway, check out our Wimbledon day 2 tips below.
Wimbledon day 2 tips: Our picks
Jannik Sinner to win the match and under 27.5 games (10/11)
Jannik Sinner may not have played as well on grass as he has on other surfaces over the past couple of years, but the Italian has been given a favourable draw in the first round this year, hence why he is as short as 1/80 to win the match with top tennis betting sites.
The value here is to combine a Sinner victory with the under 27.5 games market. Three sets of 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 or better will do the trick and given he didn't drop a set until the final in the most recent grand slam, there is every chance that he breezes through his opening round on Tuesday.
His opponent, Luca Nardi, is far from a natural grass-court player, either. In his one and only warmup match on the surface before Wimbledon, he lost in straight sets to a player ranked outside the world's top 150. Sinner should have no problem here.
Novak Djokovic to win the match and under 29.5 games (11/10)
We're going for a near identical bet for Novak Djokovic on Tuesday as he gets his search for a record-equaling eighth Wimbledon crown underway.
Many people feel that this year's tournament is his best and final chance of picking up grand slam number 25, and his record on grass is phenomenal.
The Serb hasn't played a competitive tennis match since the French Open, but he shouldn't find it difficult getting back into the swing of things on Centre Court. After all, he does have a win percentage of over 85% on grass over the course of his career.
Backing him to beat Alexandre Muller 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 or better at a price greater than evens feels like a steal. Muller isn't exactly a grass-court specialist, either, and his previous best at Wimbledon is the second round.
To put things into perspective, these two have only met in a grand slam once before. On that occasion, at the US Open in 2023, Djokovic won in 23 games.
Dayana Yastremska vs Coco Gauff – Over 2.5 sets (19/10)
If any of the top seeds are going to struggle in the opening round, then Coco Gauff feels like a likely candidate. The young American has struggled at Wimbledon in the past, with her previous best being a quarter-final appearance in 2024.
Her opponent on Tuesday, Dayaana Yastremska, is a tricky customer, too, and the last time they met, the match went the distance.
Yastremska is also very comfortable on grass, as she has demonstrated in recent weeks. She made it to the final of the Nottingham Open earlier this month and then the week after, made it to the quarter-finals at Eastbourne.
Gauff, on the other hand, has played one match on grass this year and lost in straight sets.
