Day five of the US Open is here, and so far, so good for the top seeds on the men's side of the draw.
Novak Djokovic survived a scare against Zachary Svajda on day four, with the Serb forced to come from a set behind to progress through to the third round. Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz was at his brilliant best as he dismantled Mattia Bellucci in straight sets, dropping just four games in the process.
On the women's side of the draw, Aryna Sabalenka came through in straight sets against compatriot Veronika Kudermetova, while Emma Raducanu looked every inch a Grand Slam champion in her straight sets win over Janice Tjen.
What does day five have in stall? Let's take a look.
US Open day 5 tips: Our picks
Jannik Sinner vs Alexei Popyrin under 30.5 games (10/11)
Jannik Sinner was excellent in his opening round match against Vit Kopriva, winning in 6-1, 6-1, 6-2. The Italian covered our prediction of under 25.5 games with ease, so the opportunity to back him to cover under 30.5 games at the same price is one we aren't going to refuse.
While Alexei Popyrin is a better player than Kopriva, it's hard to see the world number one struggling too much given his dominant, robotic style of play. Sinner has won 15 of his last 16 grand slam matches against players not called Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets and nine of the last 11 in under 30.5 games.
Popyrin may lead the overall H2H 1-0, but their only previous meeting came back in 2021 when Sinner was still a teenager. They have never met on a hard court before, Sinner's favourite surface.
Donna Vekic vs Coco Gauff over 19.5 games (10/11)
Coco Gauff came through her opening round match against Ajla Tomljanovic, but she was pushed all the way by the Australian.
The talanted American has all the ingredients to be the best player in women's tennis, but it's important to remember she is still only 21, despite how long she's now been on the circuit for.
Her age could be a contributing factor to her lapses in concentration, which have been prevalent in recent times. Across Gauff's last ten matches, she has only won two of them in 20 games or under, while Donna Vekic isn't one to roll over – three of her last five defeats have gone the distance.
If Gauff had been at or near her best in the months leading up to the US Open, then we'd be avoiding this bet, but 10/11 on Vekic just simply making a game of it is too good to turn down.
Daniel Altmaier to beat Stefanos Tsitsipas (11/5)
Daniel Altmaier has already won one match at the US Open this year after being priced as the underdog, so who is to say he can't repeat that feat in the second round?
The German showed fantastic grit and mental fortitude to down Hamad Medjedovic in five sets, skills that Stefanos Tsitsipas has often been accused of lacking throughout his career.
To help Altmaier's cause, Tsitsipas is currently experiencing the worst run of his career. He has lost seven of his last nine matches, enduring a miserable time on the American hard courts. Yes, he won his first round match against Alexandre Muller, but issues remain.
