AFTER Round 3 at Olympic Jonathan Grieve has stolen a march on the rest of the field in my US Open Competition, sponsored by Blue Sq.
His team of Westwood, Furyk and Garcia kept up the pace to put him on a aggregate score of +6, three points ahead of his nearest rivals going into the final round.
Sean McCready and Chris Nicholls both have the same trio of Woods, Dufner and Westwood so they'll be cheering on the two Americans when they tee off later today.
My tip Jim Furyk and and another of my men Graeme McDowell lead the actual field at -1 but surprisingly no one has the Northern Irishman on their team. Nor do they have Jacobsen, Colsaerts, Adams or Els who make up the rest of the contenders so all eyes will be on players further down the field.
It should make for an exciting climax to the competition, where there's £50 from Blue Sq up for grabs for the winner, with five runner-up prizes of £10 free bets.

was jist about to post bout furyk and mcdowell after seeing tiger blow on SSN, hopefully you get a winner out 1 of them, never even bothered havin a bet on them:(
Craig, my tips on Westwood and McDowell look in good shape and hopefully Furyk will at least give us an each-way return or better. Too late to watch the back nine last night but I got a pleasant surprise this morning when I checked scores to see three guys I tipped up in the top four. Pity about Luke Donald of course.
Stuck £5 e/w on thompson at 50/1 must be worth a shout.
David, I hope not for my sake. At this point I can’t see past Furyk, doing what he does best, picking up pars.
David, I’ve got McDowell from the start as well so looking at a couple of savers on Senden and Els.
Might do that myself paul cos mcdowell and furtk a bit short to e gettin on now.
Some great shots bein played out there.
After some consideration a think i will cut my losses and just see what happens. Furyk is looking really good. Pity for westwood such bad luck.
Et365 have thompson at 28/1 paul, each way 1/4 odds maybe a better call than senden. Else is up there now
David, it’s changing all the time. Webb Simpson just one behind now. All queuing up behind Furyk. Anyway, I’m calling it a night and I’ll get up and check my accounts in the morning.
A cant turn it off haha. Well a hope furyk comes in for ya.
David, did you see it out to the end? I chucked it about 2am and Furyk was still leading but they were all bunching up behind him and I had a bad feeling. Big advantage to be playing ahead of the leaders on a course like that.
got webb simpson @ 28s in running on friday
Sean, well done with that. Because I was on Furyk and McDowell each-way I did some cover bets inrunning on Sunday night,, including Senden and Els, until I crashed out. The last one was on Simpson after he’d birdied four out of five holes but would have won much more if Furyk had held on.
Aye Paul, a watched it until half 3 hah shattered now though. The pivotal moment was the 16th for furyk just a wild swing capitulated and it wasnt great to see, was rooting for him. Ended up winning £67.50 thompson, really thought there was gonna be a playoff. Your right they were all bunched up but 1 by 1 just dropped away els had a few nightmare holes aswell. Short on a par 4 and the ball roll back about 50 yards then he ended up through the back. Was exciting stuff. Lookon forward to tonights games though, got £17.50 to spend
David, looked an exciting finish. Just a pity about the timings though.
