I'M never one for betting with my heart (that’s been proven the amount of times I’ve backed against St Johnstone over the years) – and to take Scotland at the moment is brave, possibly even foolish but I think we will nick a result tonight.
Scotland v Albania (7.45pm)
Belgium brushed aside Scotland with minimal fuss or effort on Friday night but this is a completely different proposition. I don’t think it’s going to be pretty and a less than half full Hampden is real ghost town but this is a crucial match and one which we need to win.
Albania as we know are no longer the whipping boys they once were and have a better qualification than us in recent years (that’s not hard right enough).
They’ll make this extremely difficult and look to hit on the break but we still have some good players and hopefully Friday's hammering will have given them a real kick up the backside.
Albania had a great result at home to Israel and will be looking to make it maximum points but I’m hoping home advantage comes into play here. I don’t think we have lost four home games in a row and I don’t think that will be the reality at 9.30pm.
In terms of stats and recent form there’s not much to go on from a Scottish perceptive – I just feel the players need to rally and owe themselves and the fans a result.
Its been pouring of rain in Glasgow and after heavy rain yesterday, the pitch will be nice and zippy. its a important game for both countries and will have the feel of a qualifier rather than a friendly which could make it tasty affair
- Scotland (4-5, bet365)

Belgium Reserve League Cup
Like Hibs U20s, Sint-Truiden should be backed every week for goals and they are in action again tonight.
Sint-Truiden Res v AS Eupen Res (6.30pm)
There have been 19 goals scored in the hosts' last three games and when you look back over the last 12 months 90 per cent of their matches have gone over 2.5 goals with a large amount of them over 3.5. The reason I back them most weeks is they score plenty but concede just as many.
They welcome a Eupen side who are no stranger to goals themselves – 6 of their last 8 on the road have seen over 3.5 and like Sint-Truide they concede just as many as they score.
I was a bit surprised when I saw the prices for this game as it could have easily had markets set at over 4.5 goals (1-2 for over 2.5 is a cracking price). The last 4 games between the sides has seen both teams score and over 2.5 and we should see goals again at a generous price
- Back over 3.5 match goals (be around evens inplay at bet365
