THE Belgian reserve league is back in full flight after the winter shutdown and there are two stand-out matches.
Anderlecht Res v Genk Res (6.30pm)
It's top v bottom and the young Anderlecht kids are looking to make it 24 games unbeaten today and 9 wins on the spin. They have been ruthless recently, scoring 20 goals in their last 5 games (4-1, 1-4, 2-3, 6-1, 1-3).
They welcome a Genk side who haven’t enjoyed 2018 having lost 4-2 and 4-0 against sides who Anderlecht blew away 6-1 and 3-1 respectively. It doesn’t get any easier for Genk and I'd expect them to ship more goals tonight against a side scoring at will. Should see at least 4 goals here with most of them for the home side.
- Back over 1.5 first-half goals (5-6)
- Back over 3.5 match goals (will appear inplay Bet365, be around 5-6)
Waasland Res v Sint Truiden (6.30pm)
The Saints are my favourite Belgium team (not because of their name) but purely down to the fact 70% of their games over the last season or so have seen over 3.5 goals. They have started the relegation round of matches well winning both games 2-1 and in typical Sint Truiden style 5-3.
They travel to Waasland who have already shipped 9 goals in their opening two games which is no surprise given they have lost 23 of their last 25 matches with 18 of those seeing 4 or more goals. They’ve conceded 69 goals in their 17 matches this season. Sint Truiden look head and shoulders above their opponents today and should add further misery to this leaky Waasland side. They are 4-6 to win this which also looks decent value
- Back Over 1.5 first-half goals
- Back over 3.5 match goals (await inplay)
