CANADIAN wonderkid Milos Raonic grabbed his sixth win a row yesterday to book his place in today's Regions Morgan Keegan Championships quarter-finals in Memphis.
The 20-year-old won the San Jose Open on Sunday and after dumping runner-up Fernando Verdasco in the first round of this week's ATP500 event he overcame Radek Stepanek on Thursday.
Next up for Raonic, world No.59 and rising, is American world No.110 Robert Kendrick. Bookies expect the youngster to make it seven in a row and I can't see him slipping up.
Raonic is 4-9 with Sportingbet to win his first meeting with Kendrick, the 31-year-old Californian priced a 9-4 outsider with Bet365.
The winner, and I expect it to be Raonic, will tackle the victor of the all-American battle between Memphis champion Sam Querrey and Mardy Fish who are 1-1 in previous meetings.
Querrey is unfancied among the bookies for this one but his 6-5 offering with Bet365 is too good to overlook. Fish is 4-5 with Sportingbet.
My pre-tournament tip Andy Roddick (4-11, Bodog, Chandler, Totesport, Boylesports and William Hill) is in action later against old foe Lleyton Hewitt (9-4, Bet365, 888sport, Skybet, Blue Square).
The pair are locked at six wins apiece from previous get-togethers but my money's on American A-Rod to win this one.
Last but not least in the quarters is Juan Martin del Potro who should have few problems seeing off American veteran Michael Russell.
You won't get better than 1-6 anywhere for del Potro with Russell a massive 9-2 outsider at Bet365.
If you feel the need to punt something on this match the best you'll get is going 2-0 del Potro (4-7, Stan James).
Bonkers Bet
Querrey 2-1, Roddick 2-1 – £10 double at William Hill pays £144.
