IT was a midweek that saw tips from all round Europe – Scotland, England, Ireland, France, Spain and Italy to name some.
My Wednesday single was Demba Ba to score first and of course the Newcastle striker netted second and added another.
That was good enough for Stuart Whinnery, one of 20 people to tip winners. He took Ba at 5-1 to score two or more against West Brom while Daryl Cruickshank took Ba at any time at 1-1.
Three people added to the 17 earlier winners last night with Jamie Smith taking a draw at Spurs v Chelsea at 5-2 and Mike Dennis going for Spurs draw no bet at 1-1.
And Richard Hodge was on over 4.5 goals at Barcelona at 1-1 in a game that finished 9-0
Pride of place so far goes to Scott Weir who tipped 2-2 at Wolves v Norwich at 14-1 while John Thomson Snr took over 3.5 goals at 7-4.
There were plenty of cracking tips on the EPL games. Darren McGregor picked Man Utd at 2-1 to win to nil while Steven went over 3.5 goals at 9-4.
Four people, including our old friend Georgi Stefanov Gogov predicted Sunderland at 13-8 and David Black, Anton Traquair and Graham Hall were on Bolton at 5-1.
Andrew Sword kicked us off on Monday with Crystal Palace at 11-5 while James Hanly took Roma at 11-10 and Justin Lo was on over 1.5 goals for Roma at 11-10.
All 20 winners will go into the hat for a £10 bet with bet365.
11/10 for over 1.5? really? thats highest price av ever seen pre KO in any major league for over 1.5?
Steven, it doesn’t seem right. That was probably price for over 2.5. I’ll try to check it out.
Spurs Draw no Bet EVENS. Spurs have not been beaten by Chelsea for the last 5 visits, so evens at home with the draw as a bailout.
Palace were 11/5 :-)
Thanks for the mention though, thats 6 out of the last 7 for me.
Very unlucky with the Demba Ba tip last night!
2 in a row for me. Sunderland on Saturday and Bolton on Tuesday. Backed Sunderland last night too.
Nice tip from Scott Weir on the 2-2 draw!
well bokin a had a £2 accumulator on the nite
spurs v chelsea draw @ 21/10 (1-1)
barcelona -5 @ 15/4 (9-0)
valencia -3 @ 7/2 (4-0)
besiktas -2 @ 3/1 (1-0)
it was paying 264/1
Well,if you guys were talking about my game…i was actually quoting the odds for roma to score 1.5 team goals
it must be over 2.5, u dont even get such generous odds for argy games on over 1.5
Well, you can wait for mr fixit to get it checked if you don believe me.that was price on bet365 for roma to score over 1.5 team goals.Anyways, roma is not too good of a team this year.but the price was a steal
Justin, if you got that bet on at that price then well done sir.
Justin, bet365 have checked the history and say over 1.5 goals was 2-7 and over 2.5 was 10-11 so not sure where the 11-10 came from. Did you bet this or did you see it quoted somewhere? If you look at the midweek Italian games over 1.5 is about 1-3 or 1-4.
Justins bet looks like he was on only Roma to score more than 1.5 goals in the game i think, i could be wrong though.
Andrew, you’re right, that’s where the confusion has been.
i did not bet on that game that day sadly.i betted on the other games on the epl and the serie a.i actually chose that pick for this contest and i double checked on the bet365 website that it was 2.10 decimal.which in turn is 11/10 coverted to odds for roma to score over 1.5 team goals on that game.did you check the team goals section.i was quoting for roma only to score over 1.5
It was also a tip on goal.com too.here the tread.the guy quoted odds from bet365 too.i don think i got it wrong or i actually might have seen wrongly.lol

Justin, of course you were. I was looking at the comments but they’ve not read it right. Over 1.5 for Roma would be 11-10 so well done.
thanks for clearing that up Mr Fixit. For a while there,i actually doubted myself a bit if i got it wrong.lol…anyways, merry chrismas and good luck for the festive games if your gonna have a go at it.:)
Cheers, Justin. I’ll cover the SPL games tomorrow and have a lot of the usual pieces up for the Boxing Day matches.
