ITS's all about the Scottish Premiership tonight as we have a rare full midweek card to get stuck into. All 12 clubs are in action and we have some tasty looking affairs.
Its a huge night for Hibs who really need three points for under pressure Paul Heckingbottom. Aberdeen should get back to winning ways against a poor Hamilton side and if Celtic continue playing as they have done for the majority of this season, you have to fear for St Mirren.
I'll be at McDiarmid Park watching the famous Perth St Johnstone play Hearts – its a tough game to call, Hearts have been overwhelmingly unconvincing this season whilst St Johnstone have endured a tough start but got off the mark finally on Saturday against Hamilton.
We can't keep clean sheets so fully expect Hearts to score, we are a threat going forward though so BTTS has a strong chance.
Hibernian vs Livingston (KO 7.45pm)
I actually feel a bit sorry for the under fire Hibs boss – his side have taken the lead in their last 5 league matches and didn't win a single one of them (one defeat and 4 draws).
It's becoming a real achilles heel for the Hibee's – yet again on Saturday they created chance after chance and should have been 3 or 4 goals to good before letting Ross County sneak back into it.
It must be soul destroying for the Easter Road faithful – they are creating plenty of chance but a combination of poor finishing, bad luck and horrific defending is killing them. Lose tonight and it would be hard to see anyway back for Heckingbottom.
Livi are on poor run of results at the moment and have collected fewer points in their last 6 games than any other club and that's despite beating Celtic at home.
The problem for boss Gary Holt is their abysmal away record – they won just once away from home last season and certainly don't enjoy being away from their plastic pitch.
It takes a brave man to bet on Hibs but siding with them to score 2 goals tonight. Their forward play is still good at times and if Kamberi, Doig and co can find their shooting boots they should earn their boss a much needed win.
Recommended Bet:
- Hibs to score 2+ goals
- 1/1 (Bet365) (NAP)
Scottish Premiership Goals Double
- St Johnstone vs Hearts
- Hamilton vs Aberdeen
2 matches where we should see at least 2 goals – as I've already mentioned, St Johnstone defensively have been a shambles this season but middle to front they are as good as any of the sides in the bottom half of the table and should pose Hearts plenty of problems.
Aberdeen were spineless against Celtic on Sunday but should make amends against a Hamilton side who will be 11-12th come May. Hamilton capable of nicking a goal at home though so should see 2 goals.
Recommended Bets:
- Over 1.5 match goals double
- 9/10 (Skybet)
Scottish Premiership Goals Total
With Celtic at home against St Mirren and Rangers traveling to Ross County, the goals total market that has been set is very reasonable and is worth backing on the 16+ goal line.
Recommended Bets:
- 16+ goals to be scored
- 4/5 (Skybet)
Agree with Scottish Premiership assessment Greg.
Have punted on sixfold tonight for over 1.5 goals in all matches barring Celtic v St Mirren, which I have selected over 2.5 goals.
Decent odds of just over 9/2 with Ladbrokes.
Good luck to one and all.
So it looks like the Hibernian Manager might as well pack his bags, VERY poor 0-2 @ HT
A poor result for Hibernian but a 2nd half comeback lands the Greg NAP, well done.
Also a positive result for St Johnstone too.
