DEREK McINNES will be out to show Rangers what they're missing tonight.
The boss has been linked with the Ibrox job since Pedro Caixinha was axed and while he says he's happy to stay at Pittodrie he remaina odds-on bookies favourite.
Rangers caretaker boss Graeme Murty's won his first two matches but defeats to Hamilton and Dundee have made filling the vacancy a matter of urgency.
McInnes's side lie where Gers aim to be in the short term and after just two defeats and the Dons look big at 14-5 with boylesports.
Rangers have won just twice at home and been beaten by Hibs and Celtic as well as Accies. Only stat against Aberdeen is their poor record at Ibrox – so for that reason my main bet is the away draw no bet at 8-5 with McBookie.
Murty's men are favourites at evens with McBookie and after a poor display at Dens I can't see how they justify that price.
Most Gers games have gone over 2.5 goals and another pays 4-5 with McBookie while both to score is 13-20.
For a first scorer I'd take a look at Stevie May who netted at Killie on Sunday. He'll test a fragile defence and is 5-1 at McBookie.
Tonight's other Premiership game is a repeat of the Betfred Cup Final with Celtic travelling to Motherwell.
The result could be the same too with Celtic too strong for a side who could be tired after a 30-minute chasing with 10 men at Hampden. The Hoops are no bigger than 3-10 at Stan James.
Well will be without sent-off Cedric Kipre and Brendan Rodgers has a deeper squad so can add some freshness.
Leigh Griffiths made way for Moussa Dembele at Hampden but will be back in with the Frenchman injured and is 3-1 at William Hill to score first.
Recommended Bets
- Aberdeen dnb
- Griffiths to score first
Here’s a couple of bets I’ve just pumped on for Rangers vs Aberdeen game.
Aberdeen to score at least 1 goal and to have 4 or more corners in the game at EVS.
Aberdeen to win and Aberdeen to have 6 or more corners in the game at 8/1
Both prices with Skybet
first one you mentioned looks very appealing…….
I agree I’ve lumped on it. Also just to make everyone aware that Stevie May is 15/2 for First Goalscorer with Bet365. Excellent price.
GL…….
It’s like the bookies haven’t watched either of the teams. They are just going by it’s rangers. 10/11 just for double chance dons.
To all the haters Rangers 2-0 come on the Teddy Bears !!!!
No haters – just tips.
Well, at least the old over 5.5 yellow cards came in at evens. Same again Sunday.
