One lucky SkyBet punter was celebrating for the second time in 48 hours on Wednesday night as Sergio Aguero's Champions League hat-trick prompted two bumper requestabet payouts in a row. The combined price for these two markets would have been a massive 37,925-1.
On Monday Liam Fitzpatrick tweeted the request to SkyBet for Everton to win 3-0 and Romelu Lukaku to score a hat-trick at Sunderland which duly returned at odds of 300-1.
Liam returned to try his luck again ahead of Wednesday's rearranged Champions League clash between Manchester City and Borusia Monchengladbach and again he beat the bookies with his requestabet for Aguero to score a hat-trick and City to win 4-0 coming in at 125-1.
Liam’s Everton requestabet also caught the eye of many other punters on Monday night after SkyBet had priced up the market, ultimately costing the bookmaker more than £450,000.
SkyBet spokesman Sandro Di Michele said: “Lightning has certainly struck twice for this very lucky customer. To get two winning bets at such big prices in a couple of days of each other is unbelievable so fair play to him.”
