OCTOBER didn't start as well as September ended and my three-day run without a loser came to an end.

So it's 2pts down for the month and well done all who fared better by snagging a Sunday winner.

Newton Abbot 4:20

Maguires Glen will love the conditions at Newton Abbot if the meeting goes ahead as there is a precautionary inspection at 7am. The current going is heavy and as I said Maguires Glen will love it, he has won on heavy ground before and the step up in distance should also suit. His form is improving with each race since moving to the Grace Harris yard, his last run when second here gives him a massive chance in this race and with conditions to suit, Maguires Glen should be the horse to beat.

Stratford 5:00

Your Wan is interesting in this competitive NH Flat race. Your Wan is a well bred filly by Galileo, Your Wan is a half sister to Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Synchronised, any money for him would be a plus but I like her chances on debut for top connections.

well done to the connections of enable, she is truly a great filly.
is she an all time great ?, not for me.
while fillies get 10 lb off the boys this will be unproven as its not a level playing field.
I know rules is rules but the 2nd 3rd and 4th had to carry the extra weight making it in effect a handicap.

if serena Williams played in the mens tour would the men have to play left handed to accommodate her.
if women golfers played in the masters would the men have to use brooms as putters to accommodate them.
if women played professional footy with men would the men have to have their feet tied together to accommodate them.
ok, im being flippant, but for me fillies have their group 1 races, colts have theirs, and open races like the arc should be a level playing field, no allowances given, then we will know who is the best horse.

I think that’s 6 of the last 7 arcs won by fillies now, says something about this system I guess

This again Elvis…fair enough but there given allowances for the reason there a filly there naturally smaller animals(so they say) an i still think Enable was more than capable if you stuck 5/6lbs on her. You not say same with a few others and yes the stats back you but so does saying the boys were lacking.

Your other sport analogies are ridiculous,no offense
Least you agreev”its the rules” mate

    stratford 4-00

november 2015 abbreviate beat braavos 37 lengths off level weighs in a hurdle at southwell, Johnson was on braavos as he is today and was on soft going.
today they clash again as they make their chase debuts with same jockeys on and run off level weights again.
braavos has had better form since and has been the busier, but has 37 lengths to find.

    braavos 2-1
    abbreviate 10-1
kim baileys horses often improve when sent chasing and abbreviates 1st time out form has been 2-2-2 and been no more than a length down each time.

will wait and see if there is any match betting on this race or place only markets.

    Afternoon all

NAP THE GEEGEEZ GEEGEE 3/1 2.30 strat
With none of these having previously run at the track it might pay to go with a trainer who can boast a 67% strike rate (4-6). He’s 6lbs higher than his win 2 starts ago but Dickie Johnson is back in the saddle who was on-board for his last win and he won’t have any issues with the ground.
