SOUTHWELL'S all-weather track is only one to survive the arctic conditions today, with Huntingdon, Sedgefield and Leopardstown all falling foul of the winter weather.
It was slim pickings yesterday with all the jumps racing cancelled but that didn’t stop me landing both tips at 8/1 and 6/4. Happy days.
Today is even slimmer pickings with just one all weather meeting going ahead at Southwell but there is one that has caught my eye.
That horse is TILLY DEVINE in the lucky last at 4.55pm at Southwell. This quality of race (Class 7) is real bargain basement stuff and most of these are one step away from being retired to cart horse status. As such the race shouldn’t take much winning and I reckon there are only 3 or 4 who can do so from a field of 10.
The handicap debutant Street Sensation has shown nothing so far in maiden races but could potentially have some improvement and he is the main danger. Tilly Devine though has shown some reasonable for form at this level and particularly over this course and distance which is crucial. He will be there or thereabouts today and is solid each way bet.

- 4.55pm Southwell – Tilly Devine – 2pt e/w at 6/1 with Bet365 and PaddyPower

14:15 See Vermont 14/1 1pt win (hasn’t got much to find with fav and Luke on board today hoping he can snipe the fav on the line; fav in race does look the likely winner but worth a punt at the prices with jockey booking.)
14:45 dawn dancer 11/8 2pt win (Top two in market are very closely matched but I think dawn dancer will handle the distance and the corner a lot better)
15:15 Albert boy 7/1 1pt win (wide open race and albert boys latest race fell apart, unable to keep pace with front quartet wont have that problem in this race and has a good chance)
15:50 best tamayuz 13/8 3pt win NAP (has run great speed figures around track will take some beating and sure to run good race.)

Samcro for supreme nrnb at 14s is a bet I am happy to take, but on Feb 19th O’Leary confirmed samcro will run in the Ballymore… what has changed to suggest otherwise by duncan/dc?
Elliott said at a preview night apparantly that if the ground is soft then Samcro could run in supreme instead.
It probably won’t happen as your right O Leary has the final say but what have you to lose
Of course it could be a stunt by b365 to get accounts open and when he doesn’t run that money will be re-invested
