Bottom side Wolves will look to finally get their first Premier League win of the season on Sunday afternoon as they welcome 17th-placed Burnley to the Molineux.
Wolves endured a nightmare start to their Premier League campaign, losing each of their opening five matches, conceding 12 goals and scoring just three times.
However, Vitor Pereira’s men were much improved in their next two fixtures away at Spurs and at home to Brighton, but conceded late goals in both to draw 1-1.
Their unbeaten streak ended at two last weekend, as they fell to a 2-0 defeat away at newly-promoted Sunderland, leaving them already five points adrift of safety.
Burnley, on the other hand, travel to the West Midlands off the back of a win, as they defeated fellow newly-promoted side Leeds 2-0 at Turf Moor.
Whilst that was their second home victory of the campaign, Scott Parker’s men still remain pointless on their travels, shipping 13 goals in their four road trips.
How the bookies view it: Ninth time lucky for Wolves?
Despite failing to win any of their opening eight Premier League fixtures of the campaign, Wolves come into this clash as favourites, with BOYLE Sports pricing a home success at 10/11.
Burnley are 3/1 with the same firm to get their first away win since promotion back to the top flight, whilst the draw is 23/10.
Head to head: Three on the bounce at home for the Old Gold?
Wolves are unbeaten in each of their previous three meetings with Burnley (W2-D1-L0), winning each of their last two at the Molineux.
Players to watch: Burnley to look to Jaidon again?
Jaidon Anthony has been a key player for Burnley this season, with the winger already scoring four goals and providing one assist.
That includes goals at both Old Trafford and The Etihad already this season, and the 12/5 on offer at Bet365 for him to Score or Assist here appeals to me.
Predicted line-ups:
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Hwang Hee-chan are back available for Wolves again, but Leon Chiwone is still unavailable.
Scott Parker will be unable to call on Zeki Amdouni, Jordan Beyer and Connor Roberts due to injury, but striker Lyle Foster is back available again.
Wolverhampton Wanderers: Johnstone, Doherty, Bueno, Krejci, Bueno, Andre, Munetsi, Gomes, Arias, Gomes, Strand Larsen
Burnley: Dubravka, Walker, Tuanzebe, Esteve, Hartman, Ugochukwu, Florentino, Bruun Larsen, Cullen, Anthony, Foster
Anything else catch the eye?
Whilst I’m not expecting a classic between these two sides, I’m happy to take a chance on Both Teams to Score, which is 20/21 at BOYLE Sports.
Scott Parker’s visitors have found the back of the net in six of their previous seven Premier League outings – only failing to score at home to champions Liverpool – but have shipped 13 goals across their four away matches.
What’s more, Both Teams to Score has banked in each of Wolves’ last three Premier League outings on home soil, including against another newly-promoted side, Leeds.
