TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR and Marseille have both made superb starts to the season in England and France and meet on Wednesday in what should be an intriguing opening day Champions League clash.
Spurs look a different animal this season under Antonio Conte – less flaky and more clinical. They are unbeaten in the Premier League after four wins and two draws and seem to be in good shape.
While a title challenge to Manchester City remains a very big ask, they should comfortably make the top four and will want a big run in this competition having spent £172 million this season which still only puts them in fourth place for transfer window spending in England.
They are up against a Marseille side who finished runners-up to PSG last season and have started this campaign very promisingly.
