CELTIC'S domestic juggernaut thundered along last week and wiped out Rangers as they collected the first trophy of the season with a League Cup success.
However, there's been one blip on the road this season and they return to the venue of their only loss in Scottish football on Sunday when they play St Mirren.
Stephen Robinson's men thoroughly deserved to beat the champions in September and it's no exaggeration to say that's been Celtic's pretty much only off-day in domestic competition this season after playing 32 games and winning 30 of them.
The Buddies have enjoyed an excellent season, but they have been struggling with a lengthy injury list and Sunday could come too soon for Keanu Baccus, Alex Greive, Scott Tanser and Joe Shaughnessy, while Declan Gallagher and Jonah Ayunga are definitely out.
St Mirren have only lost twice inPaisley this season and not to the Old Firm either, so it's a difficult venue.
However, Ange Postecoglou's men will be bursting with confidence after last week's Hampden win over Rangers and will want to seek revenge on St Mirren for that shock loss.
How the bookies view it
Celtic are enormous favourites at 1/4 with 888Sport and St Mirren can be backed at 12/1 with bet365 to complete a home double. The draw is 5/1 with Paddy Power.
Recent head to heads
St Mirren of course chalked up that 2-0 win in September, but Celtic have extracted retribution since with 5-1 and 4-0 wins in the Scottish Cup and the league.
Players to watch
Kyogo Furuhashi proved yet again he is the man for the big occasion with his second League Cup double in a row last Sunday. The Japanese ace's odds to score reflect his form though and he is 10/13 to net with UniBet.
Tony Watt is yet to break his duck with St Mirren and the man-of-many-clubs is 13/2 with William Hill to score against his former club on Sunday.
Anything else catch the eye?
It would have been difficult enough for Saints on a good day, but their thin squad will be stretched even more with injuries and that spells bad news for them.
With Celtic on a high, they will want this one put to bed early so it would be no surprise if they went for Saints' throats early and the 4/5 for a Hoops half time and full time with Ladbrokes looks a very solid investment.
Saints' defence has been weakened and with Celtic looking like they can score at will at the moment, take Paddy Power's 5/4 for the visitors to score three goals or more.
St Mirren's last home game against Ross County saw a staggering 18 corners and there were 13 when these sides last met in Paisley. The 10/11 with UniBet for there to be over 10.5 corners looks nailed on.
