PSG got their title defence off to an impressive start as they claimed a 4-1 victory at Le Havre in their opening fixture. They made a fast start and struck early through Lee Kang-In while second half efforts from Ousmane Dembele, Bradley Barcola and Randal Kolo-Muani sealed the win.
One thing that will be pleasing to manager Luis Enrique is that PSG did not appear to miss Kylian Mbappe at Le Havre. They looked sharp going forward, spreading the goals across several players and will be looking for a repeat on Friday.
Montpellier travel to the Parc des Princes off the back of a 1-1 draw with Strasbourg in their opening Ligue 1 fixture. They were made to come from behind with Teji Savanier's penalty earning them a share of the spoils.
