NAPOLI are the sexiest team in Europe right now and the freescoring Italians welcome Ajax to Naples after handing out an annihilation in Amsterdam last week.
The Serie A leaders just can't stop scoring at the moment and they are also playing a brand of easy-on-the-eye attractive football that the Neapolitans have not seen since their Diego Maradona-inspired heyday at the end of the 1980s.
They handed Ajax their heaviest-ever home European defeat last week in a chastising 6-1 battering at the Johan Cruyff ArenA. They also won 3-0 at Ibrox against Rangers and were far too good for Liverpool in Naples and thumped them 4-1.
As if that's not enough, they refused to take their feet off the gas in their domestic fixtures and put another four goals past Cremonese away from home to maintain their lead on the top of the table.
In contrast, Ajax are a club bordering on crisis for their high standards. After a massive summer overhaul where they took in around £190 million and spent around £100 million of it during the last window, their new signings are struggling to adapt badly.
They have been heavily criticised in the Netherlands and even though they won in the Eredivisie at the weekend, they still shipped another couple of goals in a 4-2 win at FC Volendam.
How the bookies view it
After last week, there were never going to be any doubt that Napoli are favourites here and they can be backed at 16/25 with UniBet. They are mostly around the 4/7mark.
Ajax are 9/2 with BetVictor and the draw is 7/2 with bet365.
Recent head to heads
As stated, Ajax were humiliated last week in an astonishing 6-1 win for Napoli despite the hosts taking the lead.
Previous to that, it was a win apiece in a 1969 Fairs Cup tie.
Players to watch
Matteo Politano has scored three goals in his last four games including in wins at the weekend and against Rangers. He is 12/5 to score on Wednesday with Paddy Power.
Serbian star Dusan Tadic has been among those getting criticised in the Netherlands but he opened his account for the season from the penalty spot at the weekend and he is 4/1 with bet365 to score again here.
Anything else catch the eye?
It's impossible to think of anything here other than another Napoli masterclass. They are in fantastic form and show no sign of taking their foot off the gas.
Ajax's defence looks very ropey indeed and they haven't kept a clean sheet in five. Napoli are a little short to back on their own to try the very acceptable 6/4 for them to be winning half time and full time with Betfred.
If they score six in Amsterdam they can get three here and they are 33/20 with UniBet to score over 2.5 goals and that should really come up.
