AN in-form Nottingham Forest travel to fellow English Championship play-off contenders Luton Town in a Friday lunchtime cracker at Kenilworth Road.
Forest have been completely transformed by the arrival of Steve Cooper as manager and you would be hard pressed to find a side in the UK that are in better form than the Tricky Trees.
They have won their last five Championship games in a row, which is almost unheard of in probably the most difficult league in the country to gain any consistency.
In fact, since losing at Cardiff City at the end of January, Forest have played 13 games in all competitions and lost once…and that was to Liverpool at the FA Cup in a narrow 1-0 defeat.
Luton have certainly been punching above their weight as they aim for a return to top flight football for the first time since 1992 at a club who were in the Conference eight years ago.
However, their 2-0 defeat on Monday night at Huddersfield Town was their third game without a win. And manager Nathan Jones has bemoaned ‘catastrophic' injury problems ahead of the visit from the two-times European champions on Friday.
How the bookies view it
Nottingham Forest are favourites everywhere and are 13/8 with SBK to make it six league wins in a row. The hosts can be backed at 9/5 with William Hill and Betfred has the draw at 23/10.
Recent head to heads
The clubs fought out a goalless draw at the City Ground in November as can be seen below.
Luton are unbeaten in the last three meetings between the sides.
Players to watch
Elijah Adebayo has scored exactly a quarter of Luton's league goals this season and is 21/10 with bet365 to score his 16th league goal of the season on Friday.
Giant Scotland defender Scott McKenna was always a goalscoring threat from set-pieces when he was at Aberdeen and he netted in Forest's last match at home to Birmingham City. He is 13/1 with Unibet to score in Bedfordshire.
Anything else catch the eye?
Forest have got to be backed in this form, especially against a Luton side who have gone off the boil and are depleted through injuries.
The visitors are also good on the road and would be the second best team in the league on away form if they win their two games in hand.
Forest have scored at least two goals in six of their last seven games in the Championship and the 13/8 with bet365 in them to score at least two is worth an investment.
