Despite occupying the top two places in Group E there's still a bit of work to do to ensure qualification for either side when Liverpool host Napoli at Anfield.
Both sets of fans will be keeping a keen eye on the goings on in Belgium. Anything other than a win for Red Bull Salzburg in Genk and both Liverpool and Napoli will be through, but thankfully both matches kick-off at the same time, so there can be no reliance on favours from Genk.
Napoli will need to overcome one of the most formidable home records in European football if they're to take all three points. Liverpool are unbeaten in 24 European home games (W18 D6), a run that extends back to 2014, when Real Madrid were victorious on Merseyside.
A win for the Reds would see them top the group, as important as that is, it's almost equally important that they keep their momentum going in the hunt for that elusive Premier League title.
Of course, Jurgen Klopp's men will be keen to avenge their opening matchday loss in Naples when they were beaten by two late goals. And they can take some optimism from Napoli's relatively poor record on the road in the competition. The Italians have won only six of their last 18 matches in the UEFA Champions League (D5 L7) with their solitary away victory coming on matchday 3 at Salzburg.
Recently they seem to have contracted a serious case of draw-itis! Amazingly, seven of their last 10 matches have finished all-square. They'd be happy with that on Wednesday night but their lack of wins has seen them slip down the Serie A table to 7th, now a massive 15 points behind leaders Juventus.
Liverpool continue to power past all opposition domestically. They came from behind to secure all three points at Crystal Palace on Saturday. Worryingly it was their 14th match from 17 without a clean sheet. You wouldn't rule out a Napoli goal at Anfield and Liverpool to win from behind at 5/1 wouldn't be the worst bet to take on.
To win outright, Liverpool are best priced at around 2/5. One for the big-hitters perhaps, but most of us are looking for a bit more value so it's Liverpool and Both Teams to score for me at 7/4 (Bet365). Liverpool conceded three to Salzburg at home and also one to Genk so there's no reason why a technically good Naopli can't get on the scoresheet.
When looking for a goal scorer bet it's hard to see past Liverpool's triumvirate of Salah, Mane and Firminho, but since his return Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has impressed and has scored three in his last two Champions League outings. The Englishman is 10/1 (LeoVegas) to score first but a more sensible 13/5 (Paddy Power) to score anytime
