While Massimo Brambilla oversaw Wednesday's win over Udinese, the Turin-based club are eager to secure a permanent successor to Igor Tudor who was sacked several days ago.
Meanwhile, surprise package Cremonese sit just one point adrift of Juventus in eighth place, helped by a 2-0 success away at Genoa in midweek.
How the bookies see it: Juventus priced too low based on form, manager
Despite the prospect of having a new head coach in the dugout, Juventus are priced as low as 4/9 by BOYLE Sports for this fixture.
Although Cremonese are unbeaten at Stadio Giovanni Zini this season, they are regarded as huge outsiders at 11/2, a price that may not last closer to kickoff.
There may also be plenty of takers of the 3/1 for the draw, Cremonese having been held in three of their four home games.
Head to head: Juventus perfect in recent meetings
With Cremonese having been away from the spotlight for much of the past three decades, head-to-heads with Juventus are few and far between.
The teams squared off twice during the 2023-24 campaign with Juventus winning 1-0 in the away fixture and emerging victorious by a 2-0 scoreline in Turin.
Prior to that, the most recent game was a 3-3 draw at Cremonese's home ground back in January 1996.
Players to watch: Vlahovic to go on hot streak?
In midweek, Cremonese forward Federico Bonazzoli netted a double in the first half to take his tally to four strikes from seven appearances in this season's Serie A.
Jamie Vardy has completed the 90 minutes three times since October 20, his presence helping Cremonese to five points across the most recent triple-header.
Two of Juventus' three goals against Udinese came from the penalty spot, but Dusan Vlahovic ending his long-standing goal drought on the club scene has the potential to lead to an upturn in fortunes for the Serbia international, regardless of who is in charge this weekend.
Probable lineups:
Barring any fitness issues, Cremonese could line up with the same team that eased to victory over Genoa.
While Franco Vazquez and Jeremy Sarmiento are alternatives in midfield, the first XI could remain unchanged.
Spalletti must decide whether to tinker with a winning team, despite his favoured formation being a 4-3-3.
Jonathan David could be preferred over Lois Openda if he opts to make a change in attack.
Cremonese: Audero; Terracciano, Baschirotto, Bianchetti; Bondo; Barbieri, Payero, Vandeputte, Mussolini; Vardy, Bonazzoli
Juventus: Gregorio; Kalulu, Gatti, Kelly; Locatelli; Cambiaso, McKennie, Yildiz, Kostic; David, Vlahovic
Anything else catch the eye?
Cremonese are one of only three teams – the others being Inter Milan and Udinese – to reach double figures in terms of goals scored and conceded in Serie A.
Prior to Wednesday's win at Genoa, Cremonese had failed to win in six matches. However, their only defeat during that time was against Inter Milan.
Before the win over Udinese, Juventus had failed to prevail in any of their last eight matches in all competitions, previously failing to score in four matches in succession.
