Brest vs Paris Saint-Germain

, KO: 16:00 , Stade Francis le Ble
Paris Saint-Germain

PSG will look to end their two-match winless run in Ligue 1 on Saturday afternoon when they travel to the Stade Francis le Ble to take on midtable Brest.

After heading into the international break off the back of a 1-1 draw at Lille, PSG dropped more points last Friday, as they drew 3-3 at home to high-flying Strasbourg on an evening where two of my selections cruised in before halftime.

That result saw The Parisians relinquish top spot in the French top-flight table, trailing rivals Marseille by one point.

However, Luis Enrique’s men did maintain their 100% start to their Champions League campaign in midweek, thrashing Bayer Leverkusen 2-7 in a crazy affair.

Brest endured a tough start to their Ligue 1 campaign, as they picked up a solitary point across their opening four encounters (W0-D1-L3).

However, Eric Roy’s hosts then rhymed off wins at home to Nice and at Angers, before playing out a pair of draws against Nantes and Lorient, extending their unbeaten streak to four matches.

How the bookies view it: PSG favourites

Unsurprisingly, PSG are favourites to return to winning ways domestically on Saturday, with BOYLE Sports pricing an away success at just 1/3.

Brest are 6/1 underdogs to inflict PSG’s second Ligue 1 defeat of the season, whilst a third consecutive draw for the Parisians is

Head to head: PSG Dominance

PSG have absolutely dominated this fixture over the years, with the reigning champions unbeaten in each of their previous 32 meetings with Brest, winning 19 of the last 20 (W19-D1-L0).

Players to watch: Dembele to deliver on his Ligue 1 return?

Ousmane Dembele returned from injury on Tuesday night against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League and scored just three minutes after coming on from the bench.

The Frenchman bagged a brace on his last visit to the Stade Francis le Ble, and William Hill have priced him at 19/20 to get on the scoresheet here on Saturday.

Predicted line-ups:

Brest are likely to be without Mama Balde and Luck Zogbe through injury.

Luis Enrique will once again be without midfield duo Joao Neves and Fabian Ruiz, but Ousmane Dembele is fit again.

Brest: Majecki, Lala, Coulibaly, Chardonnet, Locko, Magnetti, Chotard, Castillo, Doumbia, Ebimbe, Ajorque

Paris Saint-Germain: Chevalier, Hakimi, Beraldo, Pacho, Mendes, Vitinha, Zaire-Emery, Mayulu, Doue, Kvaratskhelia, Dembele

Anything else catch the eye?

PSG’s injury list has eased following the international break, and they look to be back to their free-scoring selves, slamming in 10 goals across their last two matches.

As alluded to, the Parisians have an excellent record over Brest, winning each of their last five, scoring an incredible 21 goals in the process.

A PSG Win & Over 2.5 Goals pays 3/4 at BOYLE Sports, which appeals, as does the 1/1 on Luis Enrique’s visitors scoring three or more goals.
