BRENTFORD welcome Everton this weekend with Frank Lampard's side looking for their first league win of the season.
The hosts have started their Premier League campaign with a win, draw and a defeat, but it was the manner of that win that caused the sensation of the season at this early stage in England when they destroyed a shellshocked Manchester United side 4-0 at home.
As impressive as that was, they would have bitterly disappointed to follow that up by losing a London derby to newly-promoted Fulham a week later. They also drew their opening game of the season at Leicester City.
Everton were under the spotlight having started their campaign with a couple of defeats at home to Chelsea and away to a struggling Aston Villa side. It looked like it was going to be three when big-spending Nottingham Forest took the lead at Goodison Park last week, but Demarai Gray rescued a point with two minutes to go.
Both sides were in midweek action in the Carabao Cup, Both won against lower league opposition without conceding at Everton edged out Scott Brown's Fleetwood Town and Brentford eased past Colchester United 2-0.
However, Everton have hardly been helped in the build-up by Anthony Gordon indicating he wants to quit for Chelsea for what would be a quite staggering £60 million fee.
How the bookies view it
Brentford are pretty much evens across the board although you can get a cheeky 17/16 with SBK. Everton can be backed at 11/4 with bet365 and the draw is 5/2 with UniBet.
Recent head to heads
Brentford won home and away last season and their 1-0 win in London can be seen below. Everton did win the FA Cup meeting 4-1 in Liverpool though.
Players to watch
Ivan Tonev has already grabbed two goals this season and is five away from hitting the half century mark for Brentford in what will be his 80th start. He is 13/8 to score on Saturday with SBK.
Everton ‘s Demarai Gray has scored in each of his last two games for Everton and he is 5/1 to score this weekend and make it three-in-a-row.
Anything else catch the eye?
Everton will have up to seven players missing for the trip to London and with Gordon unlikely to feature now, it could be even more.
Even if they had all been fit, it's a big ask for an Everton side who are poor travellers against a side who love to score and preference has to be with Brentford.
Brentford have scored at least two goals in all four game so far this season and twice more. The 11/10 with BetVictor for the hosts to score at last two looks a solid shout.
