In the week Boris Johnson somehow became PM it was one of his own who downed my Top Treble.
Moray MP Douglas Ross, who once skipped an important Commons vote to run the line in a Champions League game at Barcelona, was on duty as local team Elgin entertained Hibs in the Betfred Cup.
With Hibs leading 1-0 Flo Kamberi netted what looked like a good second until Ross flagged and ref Collum disallowed it for offside. Leith boss Paul Heckingbottom later branded it “one of the worst decisions he'd ever seen”.
Hibs went on to win 2-0 but the manager said it would have been many more if they'd been awarded that second before half-time.
With Red Bull Salzburg and Genk winning it was that chalked-off goal that cost me. Anyway rant over.
Well done to all the winners including Scott with another members bet and while Greg's favourite leagues are back he didn't get enjoy on week one.

Everything was place – he passed his medical, wages agreed, pictures taken. Training gear collected then the came in the next day and asked for further conditions ( money) and the club said no.
The ironic thing is his agent is a failed footballer and failed agent Rowen Vine who played us about 8 years ago.
Just another case of player / agent greed

Just throwing my thoughts into the hat regards Derby’s last friendly away to Rangers @ 3pm tomorrow.
A new manager, a couple of incoming signings, a handful already left + 3 good loan signings returning to their parent clubs. Derby’s new gaffer cut his teeth in the Netherlands where nurturing new talent through the youth system is almost second-nature. He’s already stated his intentions of utilizing our academy and backed it up by bringing in lots of them for our pre-season friendlies. Results have not been stellar, but they’re only friendlies. He’s trying to figure out his best 11 and some old faces – some hampered by injury, some almost put out to pasture and some just lacking confidence ( Davis, Martin and Thorne ) have been in and amongst either the starting 11 or got a run out in the 2nd half. If all three can find the form we know they can deliver, it will give Derby a big boost. New incoming faces are thin on the ground and I’ve a feeling a few may arrive, but I think new manager = a new start for some old faces. Marriott had a stop start season for Derby – injury + ostracizing himself with the team/manager/owner and fans over an alleged ” sick note ” to avoid training – and being spotted the same day on the golf course. I’m led to believe that is why Lampard gave him the cold shoulder towards the end of the season. Again, new start – new manager. If he commits himself properly to the Rams cause ( he’s on 19k a week ), he could be good value for championship highest scorer – if he stays fit, turns up to training and puts the work in.
Tomorrows game is just a run out for Derby, Rangers are already playing competitive football. Derby will probably make wholesale changes for the 2nd half, but for momentum and fans, I think this game is a bit of a gimme for Rangers. I don’t think they just have to turn up to get the win, but I do think the 9/10 average price being shown for a Rangers win is a great start to finding a value bet for everyone.
