In what was a top v bottom clash the leaders failed to break down a side they'd hit seven past at home.
My Dortmund/Benfica double was downed as was the Dortmund -1, Benfica-1 and over 2.5 goals at Roma treble.
So it was a sore night as of the bets I mentioned Dortmund were the only that went wrong. I liked Man United and well done to Scott for two out of three on his match preview and all the other winners.
I know Man City have Schalke to negotiate first but can't help thinking they are shoe-in for Sunday's League Cup Final – especially if Sarri and his Sarri-ball tactics are still in place. However, they are just 2-5 on the outrights so value has to be hunted down.
Liverpool will be without Virgil van Dijk and of course Joe Gomez while Roberto Firmino is a doubt and all are blows but I can seem edging it but conceding.
Barca's form has been patchy but they ended a run of three draws by beating Valladolid at the weekend. Lyon also won but it was a tight 2-1 against Guingamp – their fourth 2-1 success in seven games – with one coming against PSG.
So the French won't fear Barca but it's in games like these Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez come alive and I fancy the away at 4-5 with Betfred.
Moussa Dembele netted in five out of six goals before drawing a blank against Nice and Guingamp. The ex-Celt could start and is 8-1 at McBookie to sore first and 3-1 with Betway to net at any time.
However, I much prefer Messi – 13 goals in 12 games – at 3-1 with Unibet for first goal and 3-4 any time. If you fancy a shock Lyon are a best 7-2 with bet365 but I like Barca and both to score at 21-10 with Marathonbet.
Elsewhere I like the look of West Brom at QPR in the Championship and there are games in League One, League Two and the National League as well as Inverness v Ross County in the Scottish Cup.
Plenty to look at and I'm starting with an over 2.5 goals treble. All the sides in Champions League action are attacking ones and both matches should be over. For a treble add Barnsley v Burton. Five of the Tykes' last six games have gone over and they're chasing League One leaders Luton hard.
Burton's cup exertions are over and they'll be looking to move up the table. Can't see them getting anything from the game but they could score with Barnsley conceding in five out of six.
For the Top Treble start with West Brom not to lose at QPR. I fancy their chances of beating a side who have lost four out of five but as it's Championship in midweek I'm keeping the draw on side. West Brom easily beat Villa away at the weekend and before that won at Stoke.
Add both to score at Portsmouth v Bristol Rovers. Pompey are also chasing promotion from League One but this will be a tough contest against a side with one defeat in six and eight goals in four games. Four of Pompey's last six have been score draws and both have scored in five out of six.
In reality barring West Brom this is another goals treble as my final pick is both to score in the cup replay at Inverness. But as Greg always says goals are the way to go.
The Highland derby finished 2-2 at Dingwall and the last three meetings this season have been 2-2, 2-1 and 2-2. Ten of 11 meetings between the sides in Inverness have brought up btts and this should be another in a hard-fought game that could go all the way.
Good news for Sunderland fans is I have left you at out at home to Gillingham so your run of draws could end with a vital win.

Scottish and Championship tips are the biggest letdowns. Games in Belgium, Turkey and of recent Switzerland are hard to predict. Amateur leagues are the worst to bet on. Better keep with top leagues, The fix is in occasionally. The usual favorite in French ligue 2 on Friday night never wins!

They’re back on Home soil for this tie against Southport, a team sat mid-table in 13th spot. Whilst doing OK, they’ve not had an away win in their last 3.

Based on newports away record and notts ctys recent upturn in form it seems a solid enough pick, im not sure why folk are shouting this guys tip down before the game has started. Wow. Some verbal diarrhea here at the moment. Like every punter there are ups and down. Mr Fixit generally has more ups than downs. If people dont like his tips then free advice dont fecking do them. There are plenty of other great tips and insights on here from plenty of others. Its picking the right ones. I used to put up the odd tip from down here in Oz but 2 kids and work put paid to that. Plus there are some great insights from regulars on here regarding down under. I’m not a big punter but between tips here from regulars, some of my own bets I have seen my balance go from a couple of hundred bucks 3 or 4 years ago to over $3500 now. Lesson learned was even stakes for me. Over the last couple of weeks I couldn’t pick my arse with a lollipop stick. Reason being is it’s called gambling. So if the trolls want to waste their time having a go then best thing we all can do is ignore them. If someone has nothing better to do than come into a community (for that is what this site is) and start berating people it says more about them than us. I for one will keep following the likes of Mr F, Hull, Greg,Kyle B, Nathan, Jordan (gone but not forgotten) Maccathered , Scott, Kelly and many more too numerous to mention. Funniest is the 2 bets that have cost me this month – Aberdeen and Dortmuund – weren’t tipped against by anyone before the match.

exactly what I said before my response to toffee was one of those deleted. theres no denying your on a bad run atm (everyone has them and you’ve not been miles away) but you’ve given those guys a platform to post their bets, so overall the site as a whole has a decent strike rate from the “headline” tipsters. Not a tip, more of a pointer to shop about for prices. My mate sends me a picture of a skybet ahem “enhanced” offer tonight- Liverpool/Lyon/wba win btts, 100/1. Upon checking with ladbrokes and bet 365, the treble pays 115 and 134/1 respectively without any “enhancements”. Always, always try and get the best price for your bet. The difference in those odds is ridiculous, especially when slybet are supposedly enhancing it for you.

County have been my team to back since December and they are showing no signs of a slip in form. The 3-2 Home win at Edgeley Park v Telford saw them stretch their unbeaten run to 13 games in a row – a new club record not seen for over 70 years.
They’re back on Home soil for this tie against Southport, a team sat mid-table in 13th spot. Whilst doing OK, they’ve not had an away win in their last 3.
They lost recently to my local team Altrincham, 1-0 away and the fact that County completely outplayed Altrincham no less than 3 times in 2 weeks over the festive period (winning all 3 to nil) tells me County are a class above Southport.
County are sat in 2nd position in the table and a win on Tuesday can see them go joint-top with Chorley bar a slightly inferior goal-difference.. unless they bag a shedload of course. I don’t think that will happen tomorrow but I do think they will do enough to get the job done.
