MY countdown to the weekend continues with Wedneday and Thursday two no-bet nights for me.
Thursday just as quiet as Wednesday was but there are more women's Champions League ties for anyone who is an expert in that field. Arsenal and Man City are among the sides in action.
I've been spending my spare time looking at the weekend card.
My Saturday Super Single shortlist was published on Tuesday and on Wednesday I put up a Super Single for Friday night.
I'm going with Arbroath draw no bet at home to Partick Thistle. In stature the Jags are the biggest club by a long way but on form they're weaker than their part-time hosts.
Arbroath lie fourth in the Championship while Gary Caldwell's men are bottom after taking just one point from their first four games.
The Red Lichties have kept three successive clean sheets, beating Alloa and Dunfermline 1-0 and holding leaders Dundee United 0-0 at Tannadice before winning on penalties.
Gayfield, perched on the edge of the North Sea, is never that welcoming for visiting teams especially if the wind blows and this is a match Thistle might not enjoy.
I can see Arbroath winning at 9-5 with betfair – and they are slight underdogs – but I'm playing safer with Arbroath draw no bet at evens with BetVictor.
Well done to any winners on Wednesday and good luck if you're having a bet on Thursday.

I’ll be putting 1 a day on between now and Saturday. Back then with some team goals tips. GL if your on anything between now and the weekend
Sean,
How do these money back accas work?
Do you do them in shop on the bet terminal or online?
I’m promotion restricted online.
Cheers.
In Ladbrokes shops there is a moneyback acca coupon but only for WDW and prices are shorter than online.
I assume Sean’s bets will be online.
I do them online densman. I know the wdw ones can be done in the shop, not sure about the goals ones. once you’ve made your 5 selections a pop up appears telling you your bet has qualified for acca insurance. qualifying markets are match result, btts, match result/btts, correct score and total goals under/over and you can have a mix of them.
WDW only in shops.
forgot to add, how they work is that if 4/5 of your selections are correct you will be given a free bet (matching your stake up to the value of £10) the next day. Ldbrokes also give you one free spin on selected slots for each correct selection. I.e 3/5 will get you 3 free spins.
McLeans (Irish terminal machine) lets you have acca insurance on all markets I shop terminal as long as they are 1/4 or over. I use it regular for 2-3 goals bets.
That’s decent – a bit far for me to travel though.

Well done all winners
New York city drew last night so bet lost
Just wanted to say well done to those who posted tips, win or lose, on yesterdays’s rather thin card. The outcome isn’t important, it’s the GAMBLING that counts. There’s no such thing as a no-bet day for some of us.
When the fun stops,stop !!!!
Sorry to hear that. If you can’t have a no-bet day you have to seek help before it gets out of control.
Either stop betting or set yourself a strict budget that you an afford. If you must bet could it be for £1 if as you say the outcome isn’t important.
We have some helpline numbers on our home page. Email me at mrfixit@dailyrecord.co.uk if you want to discuss anything privately.
wow sonnyboy that might be one of the saddest things ive read on this site. please seek out some help bud.
By sad I meant upsetting btw. It’s tough to hear folk think like that.

One for boxing for the weekend Devin Haney to win by K.O. @ 11/8 – this guy is the next big superstar of American boxing, currently 21-0 with a 64% K.O. rate and those odds are too high in my opinion for him to get the job done on the distance of this world title eliminator
Haney is amazing mate. Eddie Hearn pulled a masterstroke by signing him up to Matchroom. His knockout of Moran is probably my KO of the year up to now. Was absolutely brutal 😮 I’m thinking of having a go on the straight Kuzman win over Hunterat 11/4 from the undercard. Bookies are making Kuzman underdog but Hunter has not been in with a legitimate heavy handed heavyweight since his move from cruiser so this will be his acid test.

Sonnyboy you mentioned it’s Gambling that count’s please i am not giving anyone’ a summon or telling you have to gamble but you MUST have no bet day’s because i have won a fortune and LOST a fortune so now only gamble when i want goodluck everyone
But you brag about betting more than everyone on here earns a week apparently. Not quite sure how you know every member of this pages salary though.
he’s probably betting in Rupees lol
Thanks guys for your concerns and especially Mr. F, for very supportive comments. I like to bet every day because my method (over 0.5 goals – but not a challenge like Nathan’s, and occasionally under 3.5 or even 4.5 on certain leagues) means small percentages hopefully building steadily. I like to keep it going, hence a bet every day if life allows! I expect to lose a few, but because it’s small percentages, a loser doesnt disturb me unduly. Hard part is keeping discipline and level stakes, but balance is well in the black. If all bets won, all of us would be logging on from satellite phones on our yachts in Monaco. That, alas, for me, is still some way off!! Keep well all and keep the tips coming.
PS. Often do well on limited cards, whereas there are many traps to fall into on Saturdays, just my own thoughts.
OK that makes me feel better. I thought you were in real trouble but hopefully you’re on top of it.
Who wants to live in Monaco anyway when you can live beside the seaside in Clydebank.

Repost from the match summary thread:
Derby V Cardiff.
Can’t really argue too much with your summary, although Waghorn has already missed 2 penalty’s this term. Derby do have an attacking threat and much of it depends on if Marriott gets match sharp. He’s only started 1 league game this term, usually consigned to being a late cameo but when he’s sharp, he’s usually on fire.
Derby have not replaced Mount, Wilson or Tomori, we made a few signings and Matt Clarke in central defence looked like a great addition to the squad, but the rest of the signings have been garbage.
Why Tom Huddlestone gets the holding midfielder role is beyond belief, a brick wall would beat him in a sprint. We give the ball away too much, we cannot defend set pieces and I fear that Cocu has less than a half dozen games to turn it around.
We’re coming up to our customary purple patch ( October November ) but the way we’re playing and the fact that we just cannot compete on anybody’s terms suggest that Derby are going to have a long season. We’re in the middle of some tough games and I see lots of misery ahead for the rams.
Cocu berated the Derby team after Brentford handed us one, but that was also straight after playing a vastly weakened team and getting hammered away to Forest in the league cup. Forest made changes, but they showed up. We didn’t and I also think the Cocu had to idea of the importance of the local rivalry that exists between the two sides. Had that result been against any other side, the fans would of accepted it, but around 4000 fans travelling up the A52 may aswell of flushed their cash down the toilet. Abysmal. I see Cocu’s reasoning, but you’d of thought it would of played out in our favour against Brentford. Well we got hammered again by a 3 nil score-line, this negates his reasoning for team selection against Forest.
Cardiff have stuttered, their results are similar to Derby’s but they seem a bit more cohesive. I’m inclined to think Derby will have another game that doesn’t go our way.
Hate to say this but although I cannot possibly bet against Derby, I think Cardiff win and btts is where I’d put my money.
Will repost in the general thread.

Venezuelan premier premier.
10pm ko
Mineros v trujillanos .
Trujillanos to score 10-11 (hills) NAP.
Not as confident on this as last night’s Btts.
Before this season I would say this was a cert home win to nil as Mineros are notoriously mingy when it comes to conceding at home.
But trujillanos have started well and lead the league after 8 games and have scored in 9 of last 10 aways.
Btts is 11-10 but not worth the risk for the sake of a few pennies.
I put NAP as its best of a bad bunch today but only going half my normal stake giving me a bit extra for the weekend.
Well in on last nights tip elvis.
Evening gents,
Quick post and it’s a tight card – best chance of value may come from Venezuela’s 9.00pm kick off:
CARABOBO VS. ZAMORA:
Zamora tend to get the better of these two teams H2H’s but Carabobo’s home advantage gives them an additional tick.
They’ve settled down this last year but this was historically the go to fixture for goals in the Venezuelan top-flight and goals could represent a bit of value on a slim card!
Over 2.5 goals
(19/20, bet365) NAP ⭐⭐⭐
Best of luck.
Thanks Hull good tip

Nfl Thursday
Tampa bay v Carolina
Should be a comfortable win for Carolina although there is some concern over the fitness of qb cam Newton. He didn’t run at all till 3rd qtr last week and has said himself he is a little rusty. He injured his ankle pre season and is dealing with a damaged shoulder hence I think he will be limited in his rushing yards. Also mcaffrey should do enough damage on the ground that Newton can control the game without doing himself any damage.
2 bets for me
Newton under 24.5 rushing yards 10/11
Mcaffrey over 77.5 rushing yards 10/11
both teams to score + over 2.5 goals
