I DON'T know what was crazier – Hibs being involved in a 10-goal Euro thriller or Dustin Johnson doing a Jean van de Velde at Carnoustie.
My only football advice was to take Hibs on accumulators and after losing two early goals they fought back to beat Runavik 6-4 for a 12-5 aggregate win.
Neil Lennon will be delighted at scoring but worried about conceding four to such poor opponents.
Meanwhile, over at Carnoustie it turned Carnasty for Johnson as he ran up a seven on the 18th to finish five over and 10 off the pace set by Kevin Kisner.
He'll need to go low today to have any chance of getting back into contention but at least he kept his socks and shoes on!
Ace's three ball single and my double were beaten by Matthew Southgate being outscored by Erik van Rooyen. Southgate did well to shoot 69 but his South African playing partner sizzled with a 67.
Ace has posted a second-round tip and I'm taking a chance on a three ball too.
I'm on Scottish Open winner Brandon Stone who followed his final-round 60 at Gullane with a 68 yesterday. He's up against former Open champ Stewart Cink who hit a respectable 71 and Hideto Tanihara who struggled to a first-round 75.
Stone's game is in good shape and he's comfortable on the rock-hard links to back him at 13-10 at Betfred. I prefer two balls but until the weekend there are only mythical ones.
Well done to any winners on Thursday and good luck on Friday. There are plenty of games to look at but my focus will be finding Saturday selections from the Betfred Cup.
