IT wasn't a great night but thanks to Derby's late consolation goal I managed to make a profit.
Derby landed my 11-2 English both to score treble as I brought up the big 50 – some would say again.
That's 51pts profit for the month on the accumulators and at this rate I'll be sad to see the end of Aaugust.
My other two were nowhere but as it was a night for low stakes they cost me just 1.5pts.
On Twitter I gave away winnings on a £10 acca on over 1.5 match goals in League One and that landed with Fleetwood's late equaliser.
As I said it was a tough night, especially for WDW bets, and sometimes goals is the only way to go.
Well done to any winners including SB with a spectacular 60-1 effort, Greg with his best on the Scottish stiffs and HullShaker.
There are another three Champions League play-offs on Wednesday – Dinamo Zagreb v Rosenborg, Olympiacos v Krasnodar and Young Boys v Red Star Belgrade – and seven English Championship games.
I haven't posted a Super Single since the weekend but on team who stand out tonight are Young Boys. They've been in brilliant form recently and did so well to catch and then overtake Basel who had dominated Swiss football for so long.
On their plastic pitch they should have an advantage over a Red Star Belgrade side that edged out Copenhagen on penalties in the previous round.
Midweek Championship games are always tough to call and while I like the look of Leeds at home to Brentford, West Brom at home to Reading and Swansea at QPR I've decided my only other bet is a goals treble.
Take both to score at Charlton v Nottm Forest which has brought up btts the last three meetings. Charlton's only blank this season was with a weakened team at Forest Green while Nottm Forest have netted in all of their games.
Add over 1.5 goals at Preston v Stoke which is a clash between two strugglers who will be looking for much more. There have been 12 goals in Preston's last three and five out of six for Stoke have gone over 1.5 goals.
Complete the treble with over 1.5 goals at Dinamo Zagreb v Rosenborg. Goals were thin on the ground in the Champions League last night but the match in Zagreb promises goals.
Rosenborg are the underdogs but beat Maribor 3-1 home and away in the last round while Dinamo hammered Ferencvaros 4-0 away after being held at home. Amazingly Maribor had 31 efforts on goal over the two legs and if Dinamo are given half of those chances they'll win the tie against a side whose last five have brought up btts suggesting defensive weakness.

Had 2x great little acca’s yesterday, not big prices but all come home, firstly a 6 way ( the 5 championship games + Ipswich to deliver a goal ) – Birmingham left it late, but got 2 to seal the deal to bring in a nice boost. In short, it’s a game featuring a host side top of The Icelandic 3 Deild who are taking on ailing Augnablik who, themselves, hover dangerously over the drop-zone.

I’m kinda intrigued by this team you keep backing. So I looked into the goal line. The lowest they’ll do is a 1/16 on overs 1.5’s. Problem for me is the day I go off script, it will bite me in the a$$. They are very short for the win too, and the oppositions odds of winning suggests there’s a gulf in quality between these 2. Is this Quatar league a bit like the Scottish top tier ( always contested by 2 teams and everyone else playing for 3rd? ).

Swansea were quite organised at Derby 11 days ago. They did concede a penalty which Derby missed though but it took them until the 2nd half to impose their game on Derby. Qpr have not adjusted to life back in the 2nd tier as well as Swansea. I’d be surprised if Qpr finish in the top half of the table.

Just been watching briefly a game I ummed and arred on in Denmark div 1 – Viborg. The ref gives a straight red to I assume a team manager/coach, even though it has been shown, it never gets counted in the stats on the cards count. Wonder if there’s any bookies that actually would include it.
