IT'S the day Celtic fans have been waiting for – the day they can complete the treble Treble for the first and probably last time.
Winning nine trophies in a row is an incredible feat by Neil Lennon and Brendan Rodgers but we'll need to wait unitl Monday to see if it's enough to keep Lenny in the job.
Many names have been mentioned but most are fantasy names – the likes of Jose Mourinho and Rafa Benitzez. Others such as David Moyes and Sean Dyche may have more credence but unless chief exec Peter Lawwell pulls a rabbit from the hat it's likely to be Lennon's job.
I'm tipping Celtic to win the Scottish Cup Final against Hearts and I have posted a separate preview here. SlipsTips has also written a preview.
It's also a big day for Newport and Tranmere who compete for a place in League One and there are cup finals in Germany, Spain and Portugal.
My top tips feature some games from Serie A on Sunday as well as Scandinavian matches.
I've posted a separate European preview and an English one featuring Sunday's play-off final between Charlton and Sunderland.
On Friday Caen beat my Top Treble and they went down automatically with Dijon going into the play-off after beating Toulouse. Well done to any winners – been busy doing my Record columns and working on the paper so apologies for no name checks.
I've picked out a Top Treble, both to score treble and moneyback fivefold although that features Sunday games barring Celtic.
Celtic -1 is my Super Single in the Daily Record – and I'm more confident having seen the teams – so I won't take that here as it's in the treble but I've chosen one from a few I've been looking at.
Odsonne Edouard to score was one as was Lionel Messi to score but that's too short. For a few days I've been looking at Glasgow Warriors to beat Leinster in the PRO14 Final at Celtic Park tonight.
I'm of course no rugby expert but my pal's son has broken through at Warriors and I watched him play in last week's 50-20 semi-final win against Ulster. Glasgow were superb that day and beat Leinster away in the league and have advantage of he final being played in their home city in front of around 40,000.
I asked our rugby contributor Andy for his thoughts and he likes Glasgow at 13-8 so I'm taking that as the Super Single – possibly my first on rugby so bear that in mind.
Remember to check welovebetting for their video chat and tips.

Rugby Union tip
Premiership Semi – final day with the two far superior teams with home advantage. Saracens and Exeter have been a cut above the rest by quite some margin throughout the season, and the bookies have been generous by not putting the handicaps too big. Saracens and Exeter are both around -12 to win at evens and this should be comfortable, especially with both at home. It boils down to physicality and game management and these two have it in bucket loads. However I’ll play it safe and calculate in a bit of Cipriani magic and an in form Northampton to put up slightly more resistance. A nice double your money double.
Saturday 1.30pm : Saracens vs Gloucester
⭐️ Saracens – 7 handicap
Saturday: 4.30pm : Exeter vs Northampton
⭐️ Exeter -6 handicap
Double pays 0.98/1 @ Bet365
Cheers to all for the footy tips over the season!
I’m told by a few people up here that Glasgow will beat Leinster in today’s PRO14 final at Celtic Park.
Any thoughts on that one?
Maybe a case of heart ruling head a bit, I think most would like to see Glasgow get the win, myself included! Stuart Hoggs last game etc. But thinking with the head id go with Leinster to get the job done – a wealth of international quality and experience. If I had too I’d pick them to make the -4 Evens Handicap.
I won’t be on it though, it is a tight one. Will just be watching and enjoying the game!
⭐️ 0.96/1 Double – WINNER
Absolutely sailed in, thought they’d both win but they smashed the handicaps. (Saracens win by 25 and Exeter by 30) Always makes you wish you’d been braver, but the most comfortable evens you’ll ever see.

Slow 1st half in Chile but the 2nd 45 sees goals on ’54, ’68 and ’70 😀
The Night Owl sees me switching the goal-laden Finnish backdrop for the potentially more barren Chilean landscape…
COBRESAL VS. COQUIMBO UNIDO (2300KO):
At least that’s what the bookies think, and whilst I can see exactly where their low scoring forecast comes from, I reckon we may just get a bit of action at a great price.
It’s usually around the midpoint of the Chilean Primera when the action begins to heat up and, despite both sides relatively lean recent results, this will be there first top-flight H2H for over a decade.
The outcome has such gravity for both sides, I wouldn’t be surprised if it bucked the trend of those Chilean Cup and Primera B games in the intervening years.

Celtic vs Hearts Tips
Got quite a few bets on today’s match. Those looking for First Goalscorer be reminded that Betfred are offering double delight hat trick heaven on the match. I’m agreeing with Mr Fixit as I think Simunovic will want to mark the occasion. He is best price of 25/1 for first and 9/1 anytime both with Bet365. I’ll back him anytime and I’ll be having a small bet on Simunovic and Brown for first goal too. Brown is best price of 33/1 with Betfred. Willie Collum in charge will likely result in cards. Only Skybet and Bet365 are offering a price on a goalkeeper to be booked. Hearts goalkeeper Zdenek Zlamal has already been booked 3 times this season and I fancy him to be carded today. He’s 10/1 with Bet365 yet only 11/2 with Skybet. I’ve opted to include him in a betbuilder with Bet365 to make his odds slightly bigger. I’ve gone for Zlamal to be booked and Hearts over 0 corners first half and Hearts over 0 corners in the second half. Hearts should at least manage a corner in both halves and this boosts the price to 16/1. I’ve picked a few other betbuilders too.

Mr F – I’m heading to the rugby after the Cup Final. It’ll be a very tough game as Leinster are a quality side but I do fancy Glasgow to win in a high scoring contest. Hogg’s last game before he leaves to Exeter should add something to the day also and would take him to score. Same team today that put 50 on Ulster in the semi and I backed DTH Van Der Merwe to score first and anytime that game, only for Tommy Seymour on the other wing bag the first and a double. Think I’ll stick with DTH today who’ll be up against Jordan Larmour who is good in attack but lacks in defence.
Glasgow win @ 13/8

DTH anytime try @ 13/5

@Mr F , do you think we’ll be having some kind of reboot of the match preview situation. It started off quite well but had a few teething problems. Maybe the admins can look at a way to make it work better for the site before the new season starts.
I’ll be doing a bit of a write-up now + late thoughts tomorrow about the Villa/Derby playoff. There’s obviously some ifs and buts, but I will be in the trenches at Wembley, so waiting on team news before I post is not an option for me.
Malone in left back is banned, so Ashley Cole will be filling in, but who starts up front? The pecking order seems to be Waghorn, Bennett, Nugent, Marriott – BUT Waghorn is injured and without help from Harry Potters wand, he won’t be fit. We don’t know why Marriott is 4th choice but after his late 1st half cameo and 1st touch goal that started the Leeds ram raid + a 2nd goal and man of the match, Lampard would be a prize idiot if he ignores him in his team selection/starting 11.
Roos is keeping Carson on the bench – wondering if Carson will be gearing towards a move away ( he’s a big earner ).
Cole needs to be at his best, he’s 38 and someone with pace will capitalize and if we can’t nullify crosses into the box, Derby could be punished.
Last 2x times out, Tomori man marked Grealish. Grealish made him look third rate, so Derby need a plan B. If Derby start Huddlestone and he man marks Grealish, then Derby are sunk. A brick wall will move quicker than Huddlestone, so that for me is a no no. Possibly a solution is put Keogh on him and have Tomori mop up. Keogh will still have it fresh in his brain about his one touch 94th minute cock-up 5 years ago that cost us against QPR. Keogh will want the game of his life to make amends.
I’ve looked all over at various pundits, local papers etc, and there is a real mixed bag of predictions. It has been a year for upsets ( Liverpool and Spurs ) and whilst Villa can boast an almost floorless end to the domestic season, Derby throughout have put on big performances in big games – sometimes against big teams. Nobody gave us a prayer of overturning that first leg result against Leeds + conceding first, but we did it. History in the making. It really depends on which side shows up for each team as to what the result is. I think as a Derby fan, I have to remain grounded. Cautiously optimistic. Villa have put 7 past us in the last 2 league visits, 3 nil and 4 nil. BUT Leeds beat us 4-1, 2 nil and 1 nil and we won the game that mattered. Grealish is key to Villa beating us, I also see Hourahan as a danger man. But Derby also have some dangerous players – Wilson, Lawrence, Mount and Marriott.
If Marriott starts, we have a chance.
I’ll have a poke around tomorrow and see what else I can dig up.
Yeah there will be changes but no one else has had any problems posting.
I’ll get admin to contact you.
Scott Brown booked after the whistle.Any bookies paid out on this?
disco, i doubt any bookie will pay out on it…………..
I’ve seen sky bet pay out on bookings after the whistle, never bet 365 though. One can hope …
Most bookies rules will state 90 minutes only.
A ref is within his rights to book any player from the point pre-kickoff that he arrives at the ground and steps onto the pitch to inspect it and lasts upto him getting in his car after the match and leaving the grounds. It is that way so that the ref gets protection right from the start until he’s no longer an issue for the club hosting him. Whether a player is booked before or after a match is irrelevant, a booking is a booking and is supported by all football associations affiliated to fifa. This means the cards count will also stay on record. If your bookie decides to not honour these extra cards, you are within your rights to throw fifa legislation at them. It is written clearly in the laws of association football. IBAS would almost certainly find in your favour. Remember, bookies want your custom when they’re pocketing your losing stake, but will do anything and everything to avoid paying you out on winning bets.
I’m sorry but you’re talking nonsense really.
FIFA legislation and bookies rules – they’re entirely different.
Bookings count only during 90 minutes play plys injury time.
If that wasn’t the case they wouldn’t offer the markets.

Anyone know if VAR is part and parcel of these playoff finals since there’s so much at stake? I have a sneaky suspicion there will be one in the Villa/Derby game on Monday.
There is no VAR in the play-off finals. You will have goal-line technology though.

Please what is your take on Aston Villa vs Derby is it full time draw also cos you didn’t indicate it there.thank you
Yeah they are all full time draw mate.
I’m also going on the St Mirren game to be a draw.Game decided on penalties.
I would also point out that Mondays game between Villa and Derby is massive, there is that much at stake neither team will take to many risks.
If Derby sit back and try to absorb, Derby will be beaten. They’re not solid at the back. So Derby’s only chance of winning this game is to go for it. I think cards will be dished out, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a penalty, maybe even a red card. If Villa score first, Derby have to throw the kitchen sink at them, if Derby score first, there’s next to now chance Derby will park the bus, they don’t have the quality to do that, so I think it will be a much more open game. I just don’t see this being a low scoring match. BTTS is very probable and of late, Derby have been quite lacking in contributing to the corners count. We don’t very often score from corners, we seem to have more chance of scoring from a dangerous freekick so I can see us gearing our game towards cutting in early. I read some stats in the week that 5 goals that Villa scored against Derby were scored from crosses from the wings. Derby are vulnerable at defending set pieces, so I guess we need to limit them. I think Villa would be far happier than having a corner than Derby. Derby can’t defend well against them and seldom score from them. Possibly Villa will win the race to corners so that might be a wise angle to look at with your bets.
