THE focus goes from England to Scotland on Wednesday and I'm hoping for better fortunes.
I simply picked the wrong ones on Tuesday with Brentford and Hamilton draw no beating the Super Singles and Nottingham Forest's surprise defeat at home to Charlton downing the treble. Forest rotated their team though and I wouldn't have backed them if I'd known that.
Well done to any winners including a couple who tipped 1-1 at Brentford and Greg who bravely backed Aberdeen at Hamilton and the Dons ended a horror run of form with an easy win.
There are five Scottish Premiership games on Wednesday and I've posted a separate preview where my Scots treble is reasoned.
In the English Championship, there are another six games including Reading vs West Brom, Millwall vs Fulham and Bristol City vs Derby.
This league is difficult to call as usual but I've picked out a low-paid treble and taking West Brom, Fulham and Derby not to lose. I like Stoke at home Preston but I don't think there's anything clearcut tonight.
On the Continent, there are some big cup games including Athletic Bilbao vs Granada, Inter vs Napoli, Dijon vs PSG and Lyon vs Marseille. The Spanish and Italian games are semi-final first legs with the French at the quarter-final stage and I expect Bilbao to beat a side they defeated 2-0 at home in December.
PSG are in great form and should avenge a league defeat at Dijon and there should be goals at Lyon.
I was impressed with Inter on Sunday as they came from 2-0 behind to beat AC Milan 4-2 to return to the top of the table. Just one separates them from third-placed Lazio who they travel to on Sunday and hopefully Inter don't rest players tonight.
I don't they will because they'll want to take a lead to Naples for the second leg and fans are desperate to see them in another final.
Napoli have improved from the side that lost 3-1 at home to Inter in December but I'm backing the home win at evens with Betfred.
