DUNDEE UNITED can storm nine points clear at the top of the Championship today – but they'll need to do it without Lawrence Shankland.
Their top scorer is away with Scotland so the Tangerines are counting on the likes of Nicky Clark to step up.
And Clark has good reason to put away Queen of the South at Tannadice with his dad Sandy No.2 with the visitors.
United are also looking to avenge a 4-0 thrashing in Dumfries and at home they are a different animal.
All six league games have been won and 21 goals scored although Shankland has 12 of them. Clark has three this season but they've come in the previous four matches.
He is 5-1 at bet365 to break the deadlock and 8-5 to net at any time.
United have won all four games to nil since that Dumfries demolition and are 5-4 at Unibet to make it five.
Just to win Robbie Neilson's men are 8-15 at Betway while Queens are 11-2 to cause another shock by not losing.
The other game in the Championship today is Morton v Arbroath and I'm taking the surprise guys from Gayfield to pick up a point and move level with Dundee in third. A score draw has every chance at 18-5 with BetVictor.
Three are three games in League One and Falkirk and Airdrie will be desperate to grab a chance of climbing to the top.
The Bairns were shocked by Airdrie last week and will be looking to make amends at Dumbarton but are no bigger than 4-6 at Betfred. Sons conceded four at home to East Fife last week so for value go Falkirk and over 2.5 goals at 11-8 with Ladbrokes.
Airdrie are on a run of three wins in a row and head to Stranraer full of confidence. The Blues are tough to beat at home but I'm siding with the Diamonds at evens with McBookie.
Montrose are the league's form side with six wins in a row and were my Super Single pick last weekend. I like them at Peterhead but their hosts have just beaten Raith and Clyde and finally have talismanic striker Rory McAllister back in the goals.
Best bets here could both to score at 4-6 with McBookie while Montrose are 8-13 at Betway not to lose.
In League Two leaders Cove should see off basement boys Brechin but are just 1-5. They haven't been as free-scoring as they were at the start of the season but should cover the -1 handicap at 1-2 with McBookie.
Second-placed Edinburgh were held at home to Elgin last week but can bounce back and are also 1-2 with BetVictor to beat Albion Rovers at home.
There are also three Tunnock's Challenge Cup ties with Rangers U-20s taking on Wrexham at Ibrox. Gers are hoping for a five-figure gate and have a decent chance of beating what's likely to be the Welsh side's second string.
Taking a chance on Rangers to shine at 9-4 with William Hill against a side who don't seem too bothered about the tournament.
Partick Thistle boss Ian McCall though is making serious noises about winning it and are 13-20 with Marathonbet to win at Stenny.
Inverness also look a good thing at 1-2 with McBookie for the visit of Clyde.
Not too much to look at down south but League Two leaders Forest Green look too big at 6-4 with bet365 at home to Plymouth so on a treble I'm having Plymouth not to lose as well as Mansfield to win at crisis club Macclesfield.
Recommended Bets
- Clark to score
- Dundee Utd to win to nil
- Morton v Arbroath draw & btts
- Falkirk & over 2.5 goals
Thanks Mr F. Do you know of any bookies doing goalscorer bets on rangers colts, checked Paddy and Mcbookie yesterday and nothing? Grezda has scored every round I believe. As annoying as not being able to get on Eduard for the French u21s.
Haven’t seen anyone doing them.
Hello. What’s that mean Dundee.Utd to win to nil?
It means Dundee United win and keep a clean sheet.
Ok.Thank you Mr.F
