HARRY KANE could launch his England career tonight and if he starts has every chance of making his mark with a goal.

Roy Hodgson's men are nailed on at a best 2-15 with McBookie and BetVictor to beat Lithuania but the manager hasn't confirmed if the Spurs star will make his debut tonight or in the friendly against Italy.

Kane has cracked in 29 goals this season and is no bigger than 4-5 at Ladbrokes to net at any time – but only back him if he's a confirmed starter.

Odds on him scoring first are much bigger at 10-3 at Ladbrokes and with Daniel Sturridge injured the player most likely to challenge him is Wayne Rooney. The Man United man, who has hit seven in his last eight internationals, is 10-3 at bet365 and I'll be on him if Kane doesn't get the nod.

If you're looking for a speculative scorer what about Rooney's Old Trafford colleague Chris Smalling who netted a double in a recent game for his club. He'll have little to do in defence so will be up for the set-pieces and is 14-1 at bet365 to net at any time.

England have started their campaign with four wins and 11 goals with just one conceded while Lithuania have lost to Switzerland and Slovenia without scoring.

A 2-0 home victory is the favourite scoreline but I expect Hodgson's boys to succeed by three or four.

Take the English to win to nil at 9-20 with McBookie and also on the minus two handicap at 5-4 with sportingbet.

Kane will not start.Rooney or Welbeck will not be dropped.Kane will come on from the bench as all young debutants do,my guess is after 70mins.so I don’t advise anyone to bet on him to score 2 goals. I can see England winning big -3 handicap is the best bet.

Mr Fixit I think I’ll have a www punt on Smalling too. Just goes to show you that shopping around for the best price is a must. I always do but know plenty of others that don’t. Smalling 14/1 with Bet365 and only 13/5 with William Hill.

Chris, let’s hope he starts – Hodgson’s been pretty obscure re Kane.

Would of thought it is between Rooney or Kane for first goalscorer, however dependent on teams news. Kane deffo deserves to start though in my eyes.

Smalling bet looks interesting, a goal from a set piece. Maybe also look at Gary Cahill for that, 15/2 to score anytime at betway.

I think Rooney and Kane will score tonight so I’ll be on Will Hills headline offer for both of them to score at 3/1

    Good luck all
