A NUGGET laid more than gained last night. Skipping the NBA and just putting up Sunday's NFL thoughts up.
The Falcons head to Cleveland after a big win in Washington last weekend. The bookies and I thought Washington could stifle the Atlanta defense, but that wasn’t so in a blowout win. Heading to Cleveland I can’t see Mayfield keeping up with Matt Ryan who has the Falcons running on all cylinders.
Also running on all cylinders are the Saints who will be in Cincinnati without AJ Green and key linebackers. Kamara’s yards look tasty here but you never quite know when he’s going to split the load with Ingram so I’m siding with Brees to keep rolling. Andy Dalton will likely struggle without his favourite target on the field.

Can’t really argue with any of these picks to be fair other than slinging the Chiefs in for an extra 5% on the parlay bonus. Jets worry me slightly but the Bills haven’t been great but still
Manage to keep some games tight.

I really want to take the Colts but it’s the thought of the Jags turning up putting me off. Colts O has been really firing where as the Jags D ain’t. However Colts have been coming from behind at times and this Jags team like any kinda lead to hold on to. Nah, going to leave it I think. Good luck everyone and I’m sitting down for the full night as lates next week 😉
Good luck 🍀 pal
What happened to the Falcons 😢
Back to headscratching this week 🤣.
Bookmakers in America would’ve been well up by the time Patriots and Falcons finished. Not sure many believed they would lose, let alone fail against the spread.
As an out and out patriots fan, we won’t be appearing in the super bowl this year, Gronks demise, patchy offensive line play in parts and a 41 year old Brady give doubt on any given day. Let alone this Defense when things go bad they tend to fully flood. ( not that I’m panicking ) we have a bye week which arguably comes at the perfect time a revaluation of what we are.
Not sure if anyone picked up on it but I tipped Eagles win/loss total for the season to be under before the season started, with the loss against the cowboys last night thats confirmed it.
Who’s looking forward to the Chiefs vs Chargers 🤯
2 games stand out for me early this week.
Panthers vs Lions – Panthers – 5
Lions are not challenging this year defeat to Chicago all but confirmed that. Panthers can’t afford to drop any games with Saints looking to secure first round bye and division first place.
Easy win for Panthers they need this more than the Lions do right now.
Steelers vs Jaguars – Steelers – 5
Since beating my Patriots the Jaguars have laid ducks ever since. Steelers looking to put there stranglehold on the AFC routine win here, they need it to keep in-front of the Chargers, Patriots.
Ob a week of shocks i managed to avoid carnage and pick 2 winning doubles 🍀 alternative handicaps 👍 the way forward .
Sometimes the lines are to tight and the bookies want us all to bite.
Where have you been @nflfan? Been on alternate spreads for years. Still get burned. Ask @mar10bet lol. Good wins.
Still hurting from the weekend. Made the cardinal sin of chasing it and took the usual suspects on the late games for the Eagles to make things worse. Just as well it’s international break as I needed a few days off it. Wee NBA double yo hopefully have some points for Jordan’s prop tomorrow 🙏
Hi gents. Awful, awful weekend on NFL betting, but it comes with some goodness if you followed my pre season punts on the LA Rams to win their division. Post after post they started @ 7/5 to come down to 1.83 at the start of the season. Biggest stake I’ve ever wagered pays off nicely in time for Christmas. Back with a likely prop for Thursday.
In-play NBA double
Bulls +19.5
Pels +1.5

Seahawks managed to run for nearly 300 against the Rams D so I see them establishing a run game against this Packer D. Rodgers won’t shy away from trading scores though making the 49 points very achievable even with the 12. Green Bay even when losing seem to keep it close but they looked good against a Dolphins D that is actually pretty decent so i think they’re ready to go close or win against this resurgent Seahawks team who got me can still be flakey.
Packers +3 Spread

Thursday night football sees my Packers head to Seattle. These two always make a great watch but games in Seattle make me sick inside (NFL regulars will understand why). Should be a shootout and I fancy Doug Baldwin to rip up our secondary. His line is low due to his time missed this season, but he’s been in the press the past few days saying he’s 100% healthy. He is by far and away Seattle’s best receiver and Wilson’s most assured target. Catching 79% of his targets, his yards are easily achievable against our pourous secondary. Jaire Alexander has played well but Baldwin will be a tough mark for the rookie. On the other side of offense I like Valdez Scantlings yards. Always underrated, he can stretch the field, but is also coming good in the possession game.
Doug Baldwin (Seahawks) Over 53.5 Receiving Yards @ EVS @ 365 – 2.5 points
Won’t be watching but on the prop to the tune of 3 points. Took the over on a single too as I just can’t see this being anything but a shootout. Enjoy the game Jordan. Division is getting tight. Need to put these Bears in their place on Sunday Night Football!
